I have submitted a review on Trip Advisor. I was fortunate to be offered a complimentary upgrade to a Spa Suite and loved the room. More importantly staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was offered a coffee while i waited for my room to become available despite being early at the hotel. Staff were responsive and timely when i had queries or requests.

I was fortunate to have a complimentary upgrade and thoroughly enjoyed my room. More importantly though the staff were attentive and quick to respond to any request. I was offered a coffee while i waited for my room to become available despite being early for check in!

Room flooded and ome front desk staff was very helpful. But one not so. One front desk staff applied a discount for inconvenience of having a soaked room an on check out the other one re- applied the charges. And wasn't prepared to hear me out. So it could have been so much better.

« Served the purpose of our stay. »

I was very impressed with the restaurant staff at your hotel. Even though the restaurant was fully booked on the Saturday night and I required an early meal, your staff member organised a table for my wife (who is in a wheelchair) and myself and also a meal before the restaurant opened. I also required a taxi with wheelchair access after we had finished dinner. Your front desk staff organised this for me and because it was an extremely busy night, kept me informed when the taxi would arrive. The only other comment I would like to make is about the accommodation. The bed in our room (which was a disabled room) was too high from the floor. This made it very difficult for my wife to get into bed.

The first room I was given had disabled facilities which I had not asked for on my original booking I went back to reception spoke to another receptionist who found me different room and prepared her self This room was great

« Desperately requires a refurbishment. »

Check in was slow, our room was outdated and we had a terrible breakfast experience. I asked if we could order drinks at the bar and take to the pool and this was denied. The breakfast buffet was a disgrace. It was sticky and not clean, condiments were empty. I had to ask the food and beverage attendant to empty the fresh juice compartment because it was so full. She took it out emptied in the bin and didn’t even bother to rinse. It was approximately 930-10am when we arrived at the breakfast buffet and waited 20minutes for scrambled eggs to get replenished, no bacon and no potato gems, the juice canisters were near empty also and the coffee that we ordered was put on our table and I was given my friends mocha while she got my coffee both in paper cups. I’m sorry but Novotel is 4 star and that was not 4 star standards at all. The restaurant manager on duty was very apologetic and was doing her best. Considering your hotel was full occupancy you would think the food and beverage manger would make a professional decision to work in this department on the busiest weekends to ensure his department runs a lot smoother. I had a reservation booked on the 21st March for that weekend and cancelled my booking as I was disappointed and embarrassed in front of my friend on the hotel experience.

« Location convenience would be the only thing I would recommend motel for »

Being a platinum member we hav received welcome emails offering upgrades or just to welcome us in the week before our stay this did not happen with this motel. The stay was for my husbands 60th birthday and we were not happy with our choice. Motel has had a sign on the elevators for the past two to three years with little renovations able to be seen. We are platinum member and when checking in there was no warm welcome, although a gift was provided in the room when we returned. The room was very disappointing after stayin* the night before in another city Novotel it did not compare. The motel the night before rings around this one. It was a hot day so thought we would go for a swim but the pool was dirty. Not happy with our stay at all.

Overall Ok, Property is starting to look tired. Was disappointed on two fronts. with no discount on car parking as I dined at restaurant and second i asked for a Baggage stand for second bag we had and non turned up . I had to obtain one in car park myself .....

« Lovely foyer and restaurant, disappointing room »

The hotel's location is fantastic and we enjoyed going across the road to the theatre. The foyer/bar/restaurant area is very pleasant and we very much enjoyed the two lunches and one breakfast we had. However as soon as we got out of the lift to the room we were disappointed. The corridors are narrow - I know this is hard to change, but the carpet and walls look run down and blank and exacerbate the feeling. The room was a king size and was described as roomy, but it was small compared to other Novotels we have stayed in. Note: we forgot to tell reception when we checked out - there was a wet patch on the carpet outside of the bathroom, not related to the bathroom so it seems like there may be a leak in a pipe under the carpet?
