good location but noisy, tired rooms, no free wifi

The location and parking was second to none. However, the noise from the road and the blinds in the bedroom not meeting, therefore not dark at all, were a big downfall. The room was very tired and I found it very strange that it was more expensive to share an apartment than it was to rent two separate ones. I was at the hotel for a conference and wanted to stay with a friend but was told by the hotel it was $60 cheaper to rent a whole apartment each. You probably want to look at your business model if this is the case. No free wifi in 2020 is unacceptable, especially for a group of writers staying at the hotel for a conference.

Three Nights at The Sebel

We were checked in by Kim Mellon, general manager, who was very pleasant, efficient and welcoming. Apt 1302 on 13th floor had excellent views of the ocean and Maroochydore. The apartment was spacious with two bedrooms. The apartment was dated with an extremely old uncomfortable cane lounge suite. The bedding also was not comfortable for a pleasant night's sleep. Location was excellent with restaurants and shopping very close. Local bus stops were within waking distance. Easy access to the beach. Underground parking was easily accessable. I would stay again, but hopefully in a more updated unit.

I was very impressed with the staff and the treatment we received. The apartments were excellent, clean and very well appointed. We had been temporarily relocated due to flooding in our home at Buderim and had our granddaughter who lives with us at the hotel. When using the pool facilities on level 2, we found that we were constantly harassed by the tenant occupying one of the units. I appreciate the no jumping in the pool which was raised and was addressed, however, children splashing and laughing should no be the subject of abuse by residents who chose to purchase a unit right on the pool. Guests expect to be able to have fun, swim and laugh whilst on holidays or staying at the facility, we did not expect the abuse from both the female and male resident/tenant who occupy the unit at the far end of the pool area. I would be confident you have received this feedback before.

I have stayed at the Sebel Maroochydore once before 2 years ago. My experience this time was the same as my previous visit. The light airy, well equipped apartments are excellent, but the overriding thing that makes this facility so good is the staff. I had a couple of issues on day one, but they were resolved to my satisfaction straight away. Just a great place to stay!

Stayed in Room 1306 , aircon was very noisy as in a cupboard attached to main bedroom, however the views, Large balcony and space was excellent.

Stayed in Room 1306, massive balcony, spectacular views of beach, no restaurant but many eateries close by, room was 2 bedroom self contained, would easily sleep 6, plenty of space. Reception staff very helpful

We couldn’t check in until almost 3:30pm, Cranky man lives near the pool and carries on like an idiot when kids are playing, Room was very tidy, cleaners were very professional and lovely.

The location of The Sebel Maroochydore is great: close to beach, eating places and shops. Having many units on the same floor makes it very suitable for groups. Staff (and especially cleaning staff) are always friendly, obliging and efficient. The 24 hr reception is a boon for inquiries and out-of-hours issues. However, the furniture and appliances in some of the units need to be updated or better maintained. Though we notify Reception of large issues, we tend to ignore smaller ones - I suggest a card in the unit for guests to jot down small issues would be useful.

Last minute to stay at hotel as flight had been cancelled Cory at front desk was helpful and provided a great price and very informative on arrival check in was great Room was hot, could not get air conditioner to work and the wifi and phone were also not working so could not call reception, I actually had to dial the hotel even though attempted none of the issues were fixed during out stay

Our stay was good except for the bed which was quite hard. We told reception this and lovely lady took us to another room. This second bed was not much better altho we managed to sleep in it. We have stayed here a few times and always had a nice bed before.

Staying at the Sebel was truly wonderful. Apartment was huge and very clean and comfortable. View was SUPER. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. Short walk to the beach area with flags, coffee, lunch and dinner options were plentiful. We would absolutely stay again.

The unit was lovely and the view was amazing but the water pressure pathetic. . Ran the bath for a half hour and only 10cm of water. Also the water temperature was disappointing. The shower was not hot enough.

Staff very friendly.......but our booking was part of an art workshop by Susan Harrison Tustain which included a reduced rate for conference attendees. We extended our stay post art workshop for 5 nights and acknowledged the reduced rate would not apply to our extension. However we were charged at the higher rate of $250 per night for 10 days. Didn’t realise until we were home...
