We were warmly welcomed and settled into our room quickly, followed up by a quick confirmation phone call that all was good in the room. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated with quality amenities. There is a large selection of restaurants within easy walking distance, a train station very close by and easy access to main thoroughfares when driving.

« Comfortable stay, expectations met! »

Arrived prior to check-in, utilised valet parking, (although valet parking comprised of moving the car less than 10 metres from entrance for the cost of $40 but I suppose we knew where our car was for our o’nite stay). Our room was already available so that was a bonus to be able to freshen up before exploring Chapel St. Staff were friendly and courteous. Receiving a complimentary nougat n sparkling water in our rooms was unexpected but a nice touch. Dined out that evening but did have the a la Carte Como breakfast next morning utilising Accor Card benefit. Breakfast was delicious and receipt of complimentary bottled water for our journey home was thoughtful! Enjoyed our stay (with utilising upgrade option on our free stay) and will be back! Thank you!

From check in to check out the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel Welcome for our 4 day visit. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious with large living space in between the rooms.

« The Como is our home away from home in Melbourne »

As a regular I always choose to stay at the Como. This occasion we drove to the hotel and on arrival parking our car we were greeted by name by Vincent the head concierge. Now with number plate data that is not remarkable in itself but as a new car dealer I arrived in a car and plate not known to the hotel. I myself couldnt recall having met Vincent on my earlier stays and yet he deduced who we were in the arrival courtyard. Not from behind the reception desk where he would have our details. Maybe we were the last ones to arrive or the dealership logo on the rear of the car gave him the clue but whatever Vincent called upon I found this absolutely remarkable and certainly worth mentioning. Outstanding and memorable customer service!!! The rest of the stay was only enhanced by the entirety of the staff. From our room airconditioner being set at our normal temperatures to the complimentary upgrade we received, the lovely hand written welcome back note. Its always the nice little things that set the Como apart. We had noticed the newly replaced shower water saver heads (I suppose we all need to be environmentally responsible) the bed in our room (528) was probably getting to its use by date with a saggy middle from body depression wear, but even allowing for these your biggest brand asset is the quality of your staff. Your hotel management should be recognised and congratulated for the quality of recruitment and training they deliver in their frontline and support staff. Right down to the housekeeping they are warm, welcoming, attentive without being intrusive and a credit to your brand. Whilst my business and current day to day life is in NSW we own a home in Toorak and plan to retire in this home until then the Como is and I feel always will be our other Melbourne home

All staff interactions were transactional. Breakfast on the Sunday was lukewarm at best. Selection of buffet was limited. No turndown service.

« Amazing service & luxury retreat »

Laura is your secret weapon, her kindness, thoughtfulness & friendly approach made our stay for our anniversary truly memorable. All the staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful and mirror message was thoughtful, so too the champagne. The hotel became our retreat as Melbourne was not kind with its weather with 39 degrees and a wind to drive you backwards. So after taking the Yarra trail to to melbourne and trying to walk around in the terrible heat we gave up and return to the Como, where they opened the bar for us after a day struggling with melbourne weather Our wonderful room was a relaxing haven from the weather outside, before having a lovely dinner to celebrate. Its a pity we couldn't order breakfast to the room and relax in the beautiful japanese garden, maybe a thought to add to the menu.

« Great Place to Stay in the Middle of all the Action »

From the welcoming glass of bubbles to the comfort of the well appointed room through to the awesome breakfast and very friendly goodbye, Hotel Como was an amazing experience! It was our first time at this property and we will definitely be back. All the staff were just lovely and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. « We enjoyed the hotel and the area {South Yarra}. »

Service was good, especially the front desk staff. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was attentive. I thought the pool was too small and warm for lap swimming. Our room was nice and large (suite) with a full kitchen. It was well equipped with the exception of a wine opener. We would stay there again.

i have stayed there previously and always loved the beds and pillows, but this time the bed was quite hard and it felt like you had changed pillow providers. Room 406 Also, i ordered a club sandwich which was very greasy due to the butter being on the outside of each slice of bread and not cooked off. It dominated the sandwich.
