The front desk staff were very welcoming. Particularly Ryan was very helpful and professional. The staff in the Madison kitchen and bar was also very nice. The location of the hotel is great and close to shopping centre. The price for the stay, breakfast and room service were affordable.

1. Location was great, we love the ability to walk down to Charlestown Square. 2. The room was oversized, and made us feel very comfortable. The tea and coffee station was good, the bathroom felt appropriately sized. Overall, while dated, the room was comfortable. 3. We had booked in for a King Privilege room, one of the reasons for this was we had hoped to eat our breakfast on a balcony overlooking the view. As it turns out, the room we received (233) did not have a balcony, which was a bit disappointing, and meant we didn't really have a good place to sit together in the room and enjoy coffee. On the subject of coffee, three pods doesn't really go with the advertisement, 'espresso machine in the room to enjoy'. 4. At night, the room was incredibly warm. As soon as the air conditioner was turned off, the room became unbearably hot. We wondered if this had something to do with being above the dining room or kitchen, which we placed about underneath us. This meant we had to have the air running all night, which isn't always particularly good. 5. The bed was fine, but for the above reasons our sleep wasn't great. 6. So many plates with food scraps in the corridors. I hate walking past door after door needing to dodge plates with leftovers. 7. Can I say, the reception was so amazingly lovely - the lady who checked us in (dark hair, super friendly) was delightful. She really deserves some positive recognition. I wish I got her name to be able to do more to recognise her positive influence on our stay. 8. We had the ability to check in at 1.15pm instead of 2pm, that was a nice bonus.

Not happy with the cleaning service. Room was only superficial cleaned. During this climate, we expected to have the room disinfected and cleaned everyday instead of have only new towels and sheets and the bed made. Food was average. It was simple and did not live up to the price. The staff were very friendly, which was great! We especially found the receptionists to be super helpful with whatever we wanted.

We used your meeting room last week and it was a clean and modern room that wasn't too large. I felt very comfortable using the room. The staff were more than welcoming and friendly. The food was divine and the toilets were clean and modern. We were all very impressed with the location and overall experience. We would love to visit again for our team meetings.

A nice quiet location that has a lovely restaurant where we enjoyed both Dinner and breakfast. no doubt we will stay again when we next visit Newcastle. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Close to Charles town Square shops.

friendly staff , our second time staying , very clean rooms , comfy beds , foxtel is great so is mini bar. pool was really nice , spa should be heated for late afternoon use.

Hotel is well located with easy short drives to most parts of the surrounding areas.

Stayed 4 nights recently. Room not as depicted, had to wait over 1/2 hour after checking in for room to be made as depicted. The room had not be cleaned thoroughly, thankfully we had our own disinfectant spray and wipes, the pillows smelt strongly (disgusting dirty sweaty smell), we had to ask for clean pillows. Extremely noisy - felt like we were staying in a very low standard hotel. Spoke to staff the next day, offered to move us to another room but it would most likely be just as noisy (their words). New Years Eve night was the quietest night of our stay. Could clearly hear people and children in the room below us. Last night was spent in another room (corner room with no room below). It had an adjoining door through which we could hear voices and the opening of beverage cans. The fridge in this second room was leaking and the cleaning staff were already aware of this issue. The standard of the rooms was adequate, though very disappointing when compared with our last stay at Mercure Hotels. Staff manner made us feel as though we imposing on their time. Recommendations - structural work required to sound proof rooms, and more staff to assist customers. In that way customers may be welcomed, rather than a burden. And in these COVID days more attention to cleaning is required
