I had a great stay in Pattaya. Mercure Ocean Pattaya didn't fell my expectation, which is really great. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. I could feel it all the way from the front entrance to my room door. An assistant manager came to personally greeting me during check-in. Excellent. All loyalty member benefits were given. In summary, besides of a few five star hotels under Accor group in Pattaya, the Mercure Ocean Pattaya is already in my favourite hotel list. Good job. Well done. All staffs are excellent in their job. However, just a little note there was a long period of quite loud conversation and noises from working process of HK staff and/or technicians working in the next-door room on Monday morning. (my room#1404). It would be great if they can lower their voice and noises. This a bit disturbed my peaceful morning.

« Did not get received refund as promised »

Refer to Confirmation Number: 27… We have paid for this stay on 19 July 2019, total of $$443.35, through a friend’s credit card. Upon reaching the hotel, we are instructed to make another payment as I can't provide the credit card. I do understand that you need to verify the credit card details as per your properties policy. According to the Front Office Manager, Alisa T., they will refund the earlier payment by 15-30 days back to the credit card owner. As we urgently need to travel back to Singapore, we only book for 1 night 4-5 Dec, S$154.13 paid on 5 Dec 2019. While waiting for the credit card payment to be refunded ($443.45), we received another confirmation from the bank, another S$101.80 was being deducted again on 4 Dec 2019! In all, we have been paying for S$545.25 for no stay! I email Alisa on 10 Feb 2020, she told me the bank has transfer the payment back to the account on 30th Jan 2020. We check with the bank, there is no show of payment received. When I ask her to show the bank receipt and which account number, no reply from her till today. I want to know the status of my payment. How long more do I need to wait?

We had a great time. The service is great, people are kind and helpful. It’s clean and the food was good with many variations. Pool was ok, water little cold and not so sunny in the afternoon. Great location to shopping centers and beach.

The aircon in our room broken so the receptionist told us to move to a new room, in the new room the door didn't work properly but later it worked. Sadly after that the wifi also didn't work until we are so tired to even try again. In the end we can't use the wifi at all. We are so tired from strolling around Pattaya yet we have to deal with this stuff..... we have to call the receptionist 3-4 times! The next morning I complained again to the receptionist but sadly we just stay there for a night so there's they can do nothing. I'm so sorry but my mom and I deeply disappointed with the room, we expect to have a peaceful rest yet we have a hectic night. Hope you can improve it, thank you.

« Water pipe has odd smell, hot water supply not steady »

On first night, water pipe in toilet has odd smell. Staff came and spray the air cleaner. On second night, hot water supply in bathroom was not steady. On fourth day the staff forgot to refill the facial tissue box.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Centered in a groups of trendy shopping Mall, like Terminal 21, Big C, Marina . . . and the beach is just right across the road. A 24 hours 7-eleven is right down stair. Korean and Chinese restaurants are all walking distance. Also the famous Soi 6, the open bars, and body cleaning sites are all very near if you are looking for some excitement . . . The staff was helpful and professional. The room was good size, well decorated and clean. The TV was bright and right sized. I got a fantastic beach view because I had a room at higher floor and overlook the Holiday Inn. The breakfast was good with good selections. Actually, a breakfast set at the McDonald's was > 200 baht and the choice was far more less.

Hotel location is good. I would complain a bit about amenity in toilet that have no enough as I expected (lack of cotton buds, toothbrush set) which I think it's basic amenity items for all hotels now.

I just had one night leisure stay in the hotel. Experienced the friendliness of the staff. Clean room. One elevator was out of order but the service lift was allowed to use. Polite and helpful security staff.
