We had room 367, beautiful large room, great location as central to everything, staff were friendly and car park underneath had plenty of spaces. Going back some weekends as looking to move to Darlington as soon as sold our house.

Comfortable and well appointed bedrooms and generally quiet except for town bell. Free wifi which is essential as minimal mobile signal and reasonable tv amd beverage facilities. I stay regularly for 1 or 2 nights. Always a good hot breakfast served at your table with range of continetal breakfast items and fresh fruit. Occasional use of restaurant or bar food.

Very impersonal check in... old sash windows that banged and howled in the winds... bathroom needed attention toilet and toilet roll holder Coming off the wall... very discurtius breakfast greeter..i did not eat breakfast at the hotel....plus side...friendly bar staff and cleaners and the baggage storage facility..

« Good for the price paid. »

Hotel is located close to where I needed to be and good for a business stay. Room was clean and had everything I needed. I was located on the 4th floor so two lifts and lone long corridors to get there was unusual. Staff were efficient but without warmth. Breakfast was pretty standard but not great. Service was a bit random. Coffee terrible. Car park is convenient (underground) if quite small. Staircase from the parking to the hotel could be very tricky for the less abled and/or those with any significant luggage. Considering the price I paid, it was reasonable value for money.
