Very close to Pub's and Shop's, ideal for those who like to come out of the Hotel and be right in the heart of the amenities. Hotel very clean, parking ideal too. Staff were friendly.

Fantastic hotel, great location, friendly and helpful staff. Darlington is a great town to visit which I do often for business and family get together! Lots of local history and attractions! Loads of great pubs and resteraunts

The breakfast was lovely, my room was above the party room and a party was going on, it was very noisy till about 10pm. Didn't like how I had to get two lifts to my room and the view was awful.

Fire alarms went off during my stay at your hotel so I put some clothes on and left my room to make my way out via the stay case as per instructions in the hotel and lift. Got halfway down and found gusts coming back up to there rooms and told to go back to your room as it was another gust open a fire door to have a fag with going through the main doors. So imagine how I was filling that we had not been checked of to make sure every body was safe and accounted for no very health and safety.

Toilet didn’t work, not informed tv didn’t work, noisy machinery on roof outside window, could see corridor light through edges of fire resisting doors

Hotel good. Food poor. I went for breakfast and their was not much left and was told to help myself. No sausages eggs or beans left. Just bacon hash browns. Absolutely poor service.

Check in so slow, only 1 person who was also doing bar Rooms tired, bathroom mirror was filthy, window in our sons room was cracked which they had known for sometime Tvs and radio not working due to mast fire at beginning of month. Would of stayed in an area that had tvs if we had known this as wanted to unwind in room before dinner. Travelling from Scottish Borders to Hampshire so Darlington need to be the are for main stop. Would of been courteous to have informed us as they would of known at time of booking

Only a one night stay, room clean, bath had enamelling chipped in a number of area and some tiling lifting. Facilities in room very good. Only real complaint is that on arrival back at the hotel after an evening event, the bar only had one member of staff working and the wait for drinks was quite long also the bar was poorly stocked, namely no brandy no whiskey no baileys and only one shot of barcardi and those are the only ones I asked for. The guy behind the bar was extremely busy and tried his best but generally speaking it was a poor experience.

Upon arrival at reception we noticed a printed sign stating that due to a TV transmitter fire there was no TV or Radio channels whatsoever. Despite this being the case for already approximately 3 weeks and the online news stating it would continue to be so into the following week nobody at the hotel had the grace to inform us of this fact so we were prepared. Also when going to breakfast we were told that they had now adopted a buffet style for the cooked breakfasts at weekends, we do not like food served like this so will not be returning.

Comfortable room though some finishing touches hadn't been followed through. Roller blind broken, coffee machine good, but two of three were decaffeinated, outside gutter at window has previously been used as an ashtray, not cleared. We realise the transmitter fault couldn't have been helped but meant we didn't have access to the TV during our stay. Biggest annoyance was the clock striking regularly through the night. Even the Minster stops through the night! Why can't Darlington?

Great room including all the toiletries. We were travelling light, so this was gratefully received and used. Good size room. Food was wonderful. Dinner in the bar downstairs. Compliments to the chef. Only issue was TV mast affected for whole of Darlington, so no TV and main restaurant has been closed throughout the pandemic, which is a real shame.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Standard double rooms are very small but adequate for one person. Parking is very limited at the hotel but there is a town centre car park close by. Quiet expensive for service and facilities provided.

Needs some minor TLC

Value was good as used Accor Points. Restaurant was good - was far better than expected. Rooms - little tired here and there so dirty net curtains, windows didn't lock, also we had no TV remote and the safe battery was dead - immediately reported and never rectified. On arrival other rooms food tray (room service) left outside our door - wasn't collected for over a day, so still there the next evening which wasn't pleasant. Parking a known issue - I parked in Feethams car park (5 min walk) - it's cheap and a mild inconvenience.

On the whole happy, rooms okay, need a bit of TLC. Our safe battery was low and would not work and we had no TV remote, requested to be resolved at reception but that never happened. Impressed by restaurant.

Poor, room very small, hair dryer not easily located. Very unsettled night due to noises in corridor. Only saving grace was breakfast.

Insufficient parking, dirty rooms, no air conditioning, room window had to be left open and awful food. Will definitely not be back.

We booked two rooms for a family trip. Both rooms were clean but no ac. The rooms were a reasonable temp given it was 28 degrees outside! We followed the clear signs to the room. No issues. I asked for alternate milk as I can’t tire rate dairy and this was provided with a smile. Both staff on reception and room cleaning were friendly and approachable. I’d stay again.
