I've stayed in this hotel as the first hotel after several months of the pandemic situation. I felt quite safe in the premises. The covid19 protocols are OK, as expected. The staff from the events area are quite prepared and are gentle. The staff from the restaurant are extremely well prepared and extremely friendly! Excellent experience. But the staff at the front desk, needs to understand more their role as the hotel reception. There was no friendly attitude at the check in nor during the check out. They were not rude, it was just lack of interest in the guests. This made the experience a bit bad, despite the other positive points.

The hotel was empty of guests and employees. There was no employee serving the breakfast. The rooms are clean and sanitized to avoid nay possible infection.

It's being an OK stay; staff was a bit under trained. COVID-19, obviously, impacted the quality of our stay however it would be much better if some heads-up were giving, for example, no chambermaid service would be giving during our stay. Overall, it was an ok experience, would stay again only if needed easy access to American Consulate or any nearby business.

Well located but overpriced

Clogged shower drain, it was not possible to take a decent bath. We made the reserve with 1 month in advance and prices at the day that we stayed there were half of we paid, and they didn't offer us even a free breakfast to compensate.

Novotel is close to the office. The team is cordial and ready to serve. My closet was terrible smelling. Breakfast is ok. (opportunity to improve, cost-benefit, bakery experience like providing sandwiches)

Staff needs to be better trained at front desk and restaurant. Rooms are too small for a family of 3. Restroom toilet had a leak and open shower box splashes water everywhere

Poorly manage

Staff are great and friendly. But the hotel is not up to standard, not even at Novotel basic level. There were ten irons for the whole hotel. And when I got an iron, there were no ironing board. I was told to iron on the bed. I had to put my shirts in for pressing and I paid express service so I don't have to wear the same dirty business shirt again for the 3rd times. Laundry did not come back on time. Breakfast is basic, which is fine. But many of the coffee cups and plates have chips on them. Forks and knifes are not very clean. This is basic hygiene. I was shocked I had to stay there for 8 nights.

I had a good stay last week at the Novotel São Paulo Berrini. My only complaint is that they do not have enough irons for all the rooms. I arrived early in the morning and asked for an iron before going out again for my meetings, they didn't have one available. Asked again later in the day, none available. Asked before dinner, none available. Asked at 11:30pm when I came back from dinner, finally 1 was available! The person at the front desk who I spoke to when I walked into the hotel brought it upstairs for me, but then he proceeded to tell me that another room wanted it and that I had to iron my clothes and return it to him (all this almost at midnight!!!!). It's completely unacceptable that I had to ask for an iron 4 times, had to go to my meetings with my clothes wrinkled, and I was expected to iron at midnight and return the iron right away-

When I needed a wake up call for an early flight 5:30am I had two problems. The phone did not work properly to be able to set the wake up call on the phone. I then called the front desk for a wake up call and reminded them twice that I needed a wake-up call for 5:30am. No call received. I woke up at 6am and had to rush around to make my flight. Of course the next day, you decided to wake me up at 5:30am since I had mentioned to the staff of the missed wake-up call from the previous day. I did not need to get up at day two, but you gave me a wake-up call anyway.

The hotel rooms and amenities are nicely built and decorated, the experience would have been great given that the personnel would have know a bit better the communication in English. Restaurant food was OK, but still not compelling enough to return.
