I spent two nights here with my husband. The hospitality is very warm, secure and according to health protocol. Located well in the center of the city. Furniture are so nice, so strong of Javanese cultural. But some parts were broken. The food was okay, but not that delicious. The price was so great for Executive room and all its benefit. Buffet package/ iftar was more delicious than the breakfast menu. Sadly we couldn’t have buffet for breakfast. The Aircond in my room was not that cold. Please fix it. And the wake up call was so annoying. I told the staff not to call for wake up / sahur. But still rang.

Check in and check out were done quickly. Staffs are all nice and very polite. Room was so clean and well maintained. Every equipment worked well. We loved the bathub so much. The only one that not worked well was the wifi. Although there was an access point placed in the room, the signal was so weak and we can barely connect to the internet. A little bit dissapointment was when breakfast was served as a la carte (i'm not sure if the terms is correct). I don't know if that was because of pandemic or it was fasting period, but I think if the guesses are informed before placing booking that should be really great. Because sometimes we book hotel just for staycation and one of the consideration when choose a hotel is the breakfast food. Fortunately the breakfast, although not as expexted, was very tasty. However overall we really like the hotel and enjoy our stay there.

Lgendary Indonesian hospitality from staff, if maybe some difficulty to communicate in English. I was kindly upgraded to a suite, but it was not really a "suite of rooms" but one large room. The view was grim: one window lead to the water tanks of the adjacent building, the other window lead to the roof of the swimming pool area, thus making it a bit dark and uninviting.

This is my first experience staying at the Royal Heritage Surakarta and I have high expectations in my first experience staying at this 5-star hotel especially in terms of the service. First, when I came to the hotel lobby to get things out of the car, there was no helper on standby to help. And I have to ask an employee who at that time seemed to be not on shift to help me. And second, at night when I wanted to use the bathtub, I contacted the receptionist to help me check the items in the bathtub because it seemed that something was missing and until half an hour waiting for no helper to come to my room. But thank you so much for the honeymoon arrangement in our room.

I made the reservation through Agoda, and with a couple of requests about the room, and we reserved for 4 rooms in total. When we arrived, we had a good experience during check in as the staffs were very helpful and showing sincerity (this is very important). As an overall, we were satisfied staying in your hotel. Thank you. However, I had to share with you a very important information. The day we checked in, the 1st room I entered and to stay was contaminated with strong smell of cigarettes, obviously, the previous tenant staying was smoking. I asked with the cleaning staffs, and was confirmed that the room should be a non-smoking, but they also agreed that there was a strong cigarettes smell. It was room 502 (which I didn't take and request for a change). I would like to urge the hotel management to be proper to implement the rules and regulations. Those previous tenant that smoke in the room should be penalized.

The breakfast was okay, I don't like the "jamu", the taste was different from what I use to drink. The buffet is served by the staffs there. The staffs are nice, some of them are not local people, so they do not know the surrounding when I asked which place is nice to go in a short time.

old furniture very dangerous

Aside from all the good things, we experienced the terrible events. Room 801 chair was broken so bad, my mom fell and the hot tea burns her arms. We are lucky that our parents didn't occur bad damage she is 69 yo very prone to fractures. We stayed in 5 stars hotel for more than 30 years but this is the first time We experienced this kind of event

The hotel staff very well informed to prepare our stay, by contacting us pre-arrival and prepare everything we need during the stay. The hotel area vibes also very calm, so Java-centric atmosphere. The location also perfect in the heart of Surakarta. The only thing that I could complain about is the service during breakfast in the restaurant. It took me so long to get my omelet, to get my rice plate fulfilled, etc. I don't know which part is wrong but during the pandemic times where plates are served by the staff, I hope the staff could serve faster or add more staff during breakfast time. Apart from that, I just have good recognition for this hotel and definitely will come back soon, hopefully in a better time.

Stayed in this hotel gave an unique Solo experiences. The location is walking distance from Solo Keraton. The front office and restaurant staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast quality is perfect. Some improvement can be made in the cleanliness. This hotel is full with antique which is need more effort to maintain the cleanliness. Room cleanliness also need some improvement, for example: below the bed you can see some dust. The tile in bath room shower also need to be brushed. But I love this hotel and definitely will stay here in my next Solo visit.

The hotel is filled with cultural tidbits. The staff is knowledgeable when asked by our kids about the characters and items found. They have on site batik making shop, traditional musical instruments as well. Breakfast buffet is on limited time slots and must tsvp beforehand. However the food wasnt reflective of the 5 stars hotel this place is. Check in and out was a breeze. Safety protocol observed.
