Good stay, nice staff. I managed to stay 2 days at the hotel. The area is nice and walking distance to the corniche. I would recommend to open earlier the gym and the swimming pool as several guests would like to use it earlier in the morning.

« Huge 2 bedroom suite »

The double bedroom suite was spacious. Bedding always great. Got extra blanket et bbedsheet upon request. Clean, not old like I rrad in some descriptions. Not suoet new either, but nice, except the sofa, which style is too outdated. The hotel is only 5 min walking distance to the corniche and to many restaurants. There are small markets and dry cleaners in the same street, which is very convenient. Close to the French consulate. However: water was often warm rather than hot. No microwave. Housekeeping was done only upon multiple requests (we didn't have the clean my room sign in our room). Swimming pool is tiny. Gym closes at 9pm, which is absolutely not convenient. Should be at least 11pm.

« The Overall Experience is not as it used to be »

Quality of food has dropped (breakfast pastry is hard, selection and quality is not as expected from a 4 star hotel). The gym needs complete renovation (machines are the same for the last 5 years at least, rusty and many don't work). There was no hot water in the shower (barely warm) and the toilet wasn't working right

« only one advantage »

so bad the bed mattress was so stiff and the pillows were so hard I couldn't sleep the bathroom was sooo tiny and the shower cabin was too small.I ordered from the hotel restaurant the food was over cooked and tasted so bad.I paid the full amount of my stay which is 2 connecting rooms for 6 days but the front desk kept on calling me and asking me to pay when i told them I already did they didn't believe me they were so rude the only advantage is the hotel location and abdullah one of the front desk staff he was very welcoming and very well mannered and polite and always ready to help and serve ,bell boys were very helpful too

« miss-handling of a late-checkout facility »

There is a lack of english knowledge and coordination among the staffs in the reception. As a silver member, the reception staff during my checkin confirmed me checkout till 18:00 the next day. Unfortunatly this was not conveyed to the reception-staffs of the next day. I have requested for a paid late-check out at 20:00. The staffs told me that they will confirm me about the latecheckout on the next day. They did not confirmed. But when I was checking out at standard time and told them to store my luggages, the arabian staffs were looking at each other, but did not say anything. Actually they dont know any english. When I came back to take my luggage at 20:00, they said that the late-checkout payment is due and I have to pay 160 Rials. I asked them then why you did not informed me before or why you did not confirm me that late check out has been arranged for me? They could not answer. I have paid them 160 Rials without taking any service! this is clear cheating! Also I did not get any points for this extra payment.

In my brief 2 days stay I found that the fridge was not working. The promised WiFi was terrible. The air conditioning fan kept making horrible sounds. The cleanliness of bathroom was not up to mark. Only the bed was good and comfortable.
