Good location. courteous staff. good suite no 1303. Have seen a hotel with bathroom without a tub but first time i have seen a hotel without proper shower. please note that bath tub can be optional but bath shower is mandatory. How do you expect a senior citizen take bath in the bathtub if senior citizens are staying in the suite . though i was not a senior citizen still i had discomfort taking bath in a bath tub compulsorily.

It was a very nice and pleasant stay but the only reason for rating 8 are 2 things. Hand sanitizers were not provided(had my own so won’t really cringe on it) but there were many guests who were without masks and that was scary. Staff was great and hygiene standards were maintained. Food was excellent. I was also working from my room; hence another flaw was the room design. Outside sounds were easily breaching the walls and the door. There was a wedding band at the same time of my meeting which was very inconvenient.

Where do I start? We arrived at the hotel at around 1:50 pm on 3rd July. After speaking to both the executives (out of the 4 at the time), at multiple times, I realized nobody at Grand Mercure knows how to treat a guest. With immense frustration and after a wait of good 45-50 minutes, we were finally told that we'd be given the room key after the room cleaning. We took ourselves to the room at around 2:58 pm. Our food was cold anyway, since we waited downstairs for over an hour. We immediately called the room service to give us 2 plates and 3 spoons for the lunch. But after 2-3 follow-up calls, they actually showed up in the room. The only complaint I had was the fact that the staff of Grand Mercure doesn't treat the guests the way they should. My mother was so tired of waiting that she actually insisted that we switched hotel and book ourselves at Sayaji, instead of Grand Mercure. While we were going to our room, we even heard some other guests in the passage talking something about the food service. One of them said, 'Naame bade aur darshan khote'. Anyway, this is probably not the best experiences I've ever had at Grand Mercure. This was my first and the last time I stayed at the hotel. Next time, I'd rather choose some other hotel, or leisure and business.

Im very much disappointed with the hospitality thrice i was disturbed in the afternoon and wen i was leaving for some personal work i called house keeping to clean my room i waited for 10mins no one came den on the reception i told him to get my room done with cleaning bt wen I returned back at midnight 1 my room was same as i left it no one came to clean my room den after getting so much disappoint I checked out immediately in half ad hour in the midnight at 1:30

Not a pleasant experience this time

When I reached my room upon checking in, I saw a staff showing my room to 3 potential guests. This was not expected especially during COVID19. I didn't make any fuss and settled in the same room and locked the door, however after a couple of hours someone opened my door using a master key, when I screamed the person left immediately. The guests were very noisy and room walls didn't provide any sort of insulation to the noise outside or next door.

Not my first choice anymore

I have stayed many times in this Hotel. I am a Platinum member so I have good perspective how hotels in accorehotels should look like. I found the following gaps: 1. Although I am a Platinum member, I was not greeting as that. I didnt have teh feeling the receptionist was aware of that. 2. Breakfast is bad. I mentioned it before. Its mainly Indian cuisine, I had nothing to eat in breakfast...just fruits. 3. My room #1912 was facing constant noise from the street/outside. I am not sure the room is isolated for noises. 4. When check out, the lady did not ask how was my stay. Again, most likely she was not aware of my Platinum. 5. Breakfast in 3/5 was so busy and many people, it seemed as the staff was incapable to clean the tables, and refill the Buffet. I had nothing to eat and I was very dissapointed. 6. Until my last stay, this hotel was my first choice in Vadodara, this is not the case for my next visit.

Stayed here for 01-night. Found the staff very rigid. Room AC was not working properly. Internet was good. Staff approach was take it or leave it. Please train your staff and let them be more professional. I will NEVER visit this hotel again

Needs More Work

Overall, the stay was okay- but we had to negotiate with the staff a lot for it. We were first given extremely small rooms. For the price we paid (which was similar to Vivanta and Sayaji), we expected space and service like Vivanta and Sayaji! After multiple phone calls, they moved us into larger rooms which had an extremely small television and dilapidated furniture. In a twin sharing room, they just had one sofa chair- we had to again make a call for another one to be arranged. One would know that this hotel was recently acquired by Grand Mercure and there was still A LOT of work that needs to be done. Breakfast was satisfactory but kind of mundane- without a time extension on a holiday! We waited for the bell boy for around 20 minutes (and called the reception twice) before carrying our luggage to the reception ourselves for check out.

Expectation as it being a Accor group hotel wasn't met at all. Adding to that, the Service was poor & It seemed the Hotel isn't ready to cope up to the level what an Accor hotel needs to be & they aren't ready to handle a big crowd as well. Humbleness as F&B Service provider too was Terrible. Need changes in the welcome area & restaurant area. Very sorry to say, Accor needs to remove this place from the list.
