Choose this hotel for our first night stay in Rome because of its close proximity to the airport, their shuttle service and their check-in in hours. Our transatlantic flight arrived at 8am and after a long flight I like to crash rather than sit around in a lobby until 3 or 4 waiting for my room to be ready. Secondly, they offer a shuttle for 6 euros from the airport. It has a regular schedule of every 40 minutes and is charged to your room. You can ask the hotel for the exact shuttle schedule but runs from 6:40-22:00 from the airport. Took 10 minutes to reach the hotel. The shuttle stop is terminal 3/exit 4. Walk across the street towards the parking garage but turn right once you crossed the the first street. Small signs says Mercury hotel. Wait there.No reservation required to go to the hotel. Hotel staff were all very friendly. Rooms were clean, very quiet and beds were very firm. Had breakfast and dinner there and both were good. Small bistro just down the street which was very pleasant but does not serve dinner until 8pm. Further down this street is a very well stocked supermarket. Some restaurants are around but found several had closed due to vivid and their websites were never updated. Checkout was very quick and easy. Checked out at 12:00, grabbed vs taxi and went to more the center of Rome for our weeks stay. Would stay here again. FYI, taxis have a negotiated flat rate fare of 50 euros to and from the airport from any place downtown Rome. So don't let one try to charge you more if going to or from the airport.

This is our second visit to this hotel. The first time was fine except for an issue with the computers in the Business Center. There are only 2 and 1 was not working so we had to wait about 30 minutes while another guest was using the working one. Since everything else was fine, we decided to book again. This second time 1 computer was not working and the other was locked. We had to catch the shuttle so we gave up. If it was not for the location convenience, we would not stay here again. In addition to the computer issue, the room refrigerator was dirty inside and not working. There were only 2 hand towels in the room and they were no more than cleaning rags. We had to go back to the desk and request a full set of towels. The only positive experiences were the quiet room and the buffet breakfast.

Check in was fast and when they found out I am an accor member, they gave us an early check in :-) for 1 room. We also had dinner at The Leonardo Restaurant in the hotel. Food was good especially from the servers. I forgot his name but really superb service. Mojito was so good. The pasta and pizza were also delicious. Fish tasted fishy. They have free chocolates which were yummy! The breakfast spread was good and not that expensive. The rooms were old. The bathroom has been renovated and its modern so quite nice. The amenities particularly the bath gel smelled so good. The towels were hanging by a thread and the pillows smelled bad. They did not change the sheets. Housekeeping was not that good with regards to hygiene. Ill give the hotel 4 stars for the great food and service of Leonardo Restaurant, 2 stars for housekeeping- not clean and towels need to retire. 4 stars for the check in experience. 5 stars for the porter. 5 stars for the shuttle service especially the driver. very courteous and helpful. 2 stars for the location. Go for Hilton as its just beside Flumicino Airport.

Hotel was lovely large bed, beautiful pool, great breakfast and most of the staff were just very helpful and friendly. Two issues just. First the bed is covered in stains we had blood and yellow stains on our bed and when my sister told the staff to change the sheets and there is stains but unfortunately nothing was done due to lack of English. I think a hotel maid with better cleaning skills is required because from other customers as well in this hotel they said they same thing on our trip to rome. Second there is a young lady in the bar at night a Waitress who’s attitude is very bad extremely not friendly names I don’t have but while staying she worked nights the only girl on. So avoid her if you can for your own good. The other staff in the restaurant area are lovely very helpful the trip was lovely I liked the hotel very much besides the two issues I would go back again if giving notices about the bed has to be clean ring ahead just to make sure everything is clean.

Já tínhamos lido sobre a precariedade do box do banheiro, e realmente aconteceu conosco, o piso do banheiro foi inundado pela água do chuveiro. Mas restaurante, atendimento, cama e limpeza amenizam, e área externa com aquela piscina, então, mas não tivemos vontade de retornar a esse hotel quando lembramos do incidente do banheiro.
