Location for docklands was good. Pool was nice. Parking was a pain- why allocate parking spots when they are already take by other guests (and was asked to wait while owner was located which was not acceptable). No added bonus for being Accor member- no bottled water in rooms or drink vouchers which we have often experienced when checking in as Accor member. I even had to ask for the 10% room discount as it hadn’t been added when we checked out.

The stay at the Sebel Hotel in Docklands wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The room was only ready for after 3pm which is quite late and staff seemed to be under pressure to turn rooms around. Being a Gold Accor member, I usually get offered a nicer room within the same or next room category, but seemed to get just the standard room on a lower floor. The apartment was OK, but quite dated and some of the furniture had rips and tears and the kitchenware was minimal and unmatched. Being lower down, meant it was a bit darker and noisier with street activity. There was no instruction booklet or hotel info provided, so when the aircon wasn't working, we had no idea how to check it or contact reception. The room cleaning was very slow, and often after a day out, we'd get home around 3 or 4pm to find that it hadn't been done yet. The room also wasn't vacuumed once during our stay and used items like coffee, milk and dish soap weren't replaced. No coffee plunger was provided, but we managed to get one from reception. The hotel is well located close to the Docklands waterfront and the major tram routes.

Comfortable beds and spacious rooms are constant with this hotel I visit every year. Covid clean and not the bad smell that can sometimes come with that. The only annoying issue with this hotel is parking, when you are waiting to see reception. The space outside is very tight and on many occasions the spaces are not available.

Thankyou for the welcome card ,wine and chocolates ,we have stayed here for many years and found it to be a great location and service While I appreciate it was a busy time with Grand Prix ,it was nearly 4pm before we could check in after l rang twice ,I was told l would get a call when it was ready but l didn’t get the call ,this has happened previously . As I’m sure you can appreciate Docklands is not the easiest place to park and wait especially when you have been travelling all day.

Check in experience was poor. Was quoted $484 for 2 night stay and at check in they debited my credit $400 more than quoted. You would think looking up my information that it would say how much my accomodation for 2 nights would be! Only 1 tv remote worked and when you changed channel the 2nd tv would turn on. Guest wifi was also very poor. Rooms were clean though

The room was lovely, but the advertisement of a gym and pool was incorrect. The fact that you could not use the gym unless you were there for induction on Thursday made it unusable, and the process to use the pool was difficult to say the least. Communication with the front desk was difficult aswell. Lastly when house cleaning came round at 3pm and husband asked if they could come back in 30 mins as we were preparing to go out. Answer was no. We had been out all day.

This is a great area and place to stay and I would defintely stay there again with clean, quiet well appointed rooms. There are a few things that would improve the experience ... you need to provide - tissues in the room, a toilet brush cleaner, sanitiser, more milk than just three little containers for two adults, information on how to use the washer/dryer, make using the gym and pool area alot simpler and friendlier, better recognition of Accorplus/gold members. This was a mix of business and recreation. I travelled with a family member.

Check in procedures seem to be different depending on who is at the front desk. It would be nice if the procedures were consistently applied.

The room was great, as you'd expect from a Sebel. The most disappointing part was the gym and pool. I believed it was part of the hotel, but it is in an adjoining residential Sebel block. This meant that there is quite a laborious process to use the pool - taking 15 minutes including being escorted outside to a concierge in another building, leaving ID and collecting afterwards. Not really worth it for a 25 min swim - I would have used the gym but I had to go though the same process and an additional induction. Onsite café didn't open until 7:30 so was difficult to get coffee/breakfast before the day starts.
