The room is dusty almost everywhere. Lounge bar, Cabinet, Bathroom Basin area, television and the table. Both the mugs are dirty and with moulds inside. The coffee cups is dirty also. The spoons is not cleaned properly.

although the location and service was good, the overall hotel felt very dated and old. amenities in the room generally felt very run down. the patio looked very pathetic and uninviting. parts of the floor of the corridor outside the room was damaged from water and no longer even. this is not what i expected from a 5-star sofitel chain.

We had booked the Day use and the Sofitel Spa package on 13 Jan. The check in went smoothly and but the quality of the room was very poor. We were in Room 228. The bathroom flooded when the bath tub was used, and water seeped into the bedroom soaking up the carpet. It even meandered near the electrical points behind the Coffee Machine, posing a risk to our safety. The TV did not work - it kept repeating the welcome message and advertisement as TV control appeared faulty - could not scroll channels and and we had difficulty turning off the TV. And on a minor note, the room had a musky smell which really spoils the first impression as you enter. Hope you will maintain your rooms better.

Great staycation experience! The room is a bit old with some leakage/flushing issues but other than that, it was very comfortable. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful, making the stay very pleasant. Highly recommended!!

Firstly, upon check-in We requested a call from So Spa to book a massage for my girlfriend and i together and we were informed they would call us. After 4 hours we rang reception informing them we had not received a call and were told to wait for the call again. Still no call. The next day (9th Jan) we still had not received a call back and rang reception again to hear the same response. After not receiving a call again we then proceeded to call the spa directly ourselves to make a booking which was confirmed for 6pm on the 11th of Jan. We arrived earlier to dine at The Garden and proceeded to check in for the massage to which we were told there was no record of our booking and that we were lucky they could still fit us in. Honestly a piss poor response for a hotel and spa of your stature. Second instance was our attempt to relax at Lebar on the 9th Jan only to be told it was fully booked and we were turned away, we went back to our room for a short while and proceeded to Kwee Zeen for lunch only to see there was 3 tables occupied and Le Bar and the rest were completely empty. Unbelievable. If this is the level of service provided to a customer who booked a prestige suite i would really hate to see how normal rooms are treated. This was my 30th birthday weekend and i would have to say it was not a very good one due to your service and experience whilst staying with you. Will definitely staying elsewhere if i choose to stay on the island again.

Overall we like the relaxing vibes in Sofitel Sentosa.. things seem to slow down for us (: the bed was very comfortable and food was great. One thing to be careful is the bathroom floor tiles - there are a couple of pieces coming out. just avoid those and it is fine. We still enjoyed our stay.

We stayed over the rainy weekends. Although the location was far from the main area , we were able to enjoy our stay in the resort itself! We had all our meals in the resort itself, with really great view at the cliff.l and breakfast with a pool and disrupted view. A pity that it was raining heavily almost the entire stay.... we couldn’t explore more but we love it nonetheless. The place might have been difficult for an upkeep, but it was a resort hence its really close to nature which was what we were looking for. While walking around the resort, we were company by the friendly peacocks. Glad that the rain stopped for a few hours, we were able to dip in the pool. It was nice where all the day beds and seats were placed far apart, the pool was extremely huge and the ambience was so great. Anywhere in the resort calls for a photo! Parking was also free which is good if you had to move around sentosa for a drive. checking in and out was seamless. Well rested stay with really great ambience closest to nature.

The hotel was oversubscribed, service was terrible as staff were overworked. The hotel is very rundown, pool seat cushions very dirty. The food was not up to scratch for the prices we paid. Over all we had a terrible experience and I would not rush back.

Swimming Pool Measures

Overall, the stay was good. like the room and service staff very much. Only down side is the measures at swimming pool. We did a pre-registration for the use of swimming pool prior to check-in. On the day of check in, when we went to the pool, there were no checks on the registration and pool towels were self service. So the questions that went throughmy head was, where is the control (SMM), hygiene factor and what is the use of pre-registration if there isn't any checks.

I’m a returning customer and had stayed with Sofitel Sentosa on numerous occasions - 2 weddings and 2 birthday celebrations (including recent stay on 9 Jan 2021). Reason for me to come back was the high level of service given the 5 star rating it has and as one of the premium hotels in Sentosa. However, I was left very disappointed with my stay this time round, it was a birthday celebration staycation for my wife (actual day - 9 Jan 2021 - verify the DOB of the persons checked in for room 468) a second birthday celebration staycation with Sofitel Sentosa (previous was in Jan 2017). Despite highlighting the purpose of my stay several times to your client service team before our stay to arrange the room appropriately as well as dinner (expecting decorations and birthday message as per our previous birthday staycation experience), nothing was done, absolutely nothing. We checked in and went to the room with nothing setup. Not even a birthday card. Come dinner which I had fixed at 6:30PM, other tables had been setup perfectly with balloons and jug with stars to mark a birthday celebration but nothing was done to our table. Absolutely nothing. In the end, I had to request to the staff thrice to arrange for a small cake and candle for my wife. That’s very sad, the service level was appalling, nothing close to what I had experience in my other 3 stays. If COVID had lowered the service level of Sofitel resulting it to dip so much (even a 3 star hotel upon request will arrange the room and dinner appropriately), I suggest you re-look and re-educate your staff. Sofitel is one of my favorite hotels thus the number of stays with you including overseas accommodations but now it looked like you had throw that level of faith I had in you out of the window - the experience was so bad. What a way to start 2021 and to mark an important date of someone important in my life. An important event which I can hand the responsibility to - a hotel I trusted. But you have failed miserably and have not done enough to up hold your brand name and it’s rating.
