« Lovely surroundings with great staff »

- First room was a garden room - dark and not welcoming. Directly outside there were workers now allowing any privacy so we asked to move. Staff were extremely helpful and moved us up to a higher floor - Next room the phone wasn't working but again staff were prompt and courteous. - There is no power point next to a mirror - for anyone wanting to do hair and makeup this is essential. - The amenities were good and very welcomed. - Food at the Cliff restaurant was very poor quality and horribly over priced - Great to have access to the beach and buses - location was good. - LOVED the fish pool to nibble on our feet - Good to have a bathroom to use on late departure, but again... no powerpoint to straighten hair! The cleaner was delightful attempting to help with my hair - The staff were all great.

« well worth it package »

It was lovely to stay with Sofitel Sentosa that comes with V-day package. The dinner, the stay with heartfelt setup is lovely and really felt welcomed for the hospitality. The arrangement between the stay, dinner and spa was so convenient that agenda has been well prepared. Will be back for more. Not to miss the package offered is definitely well worth the money. Awesome!

We were prepared to be wowed and were left very underwhelmed. Pool and bar area are a highlight. Room was satisfactory, breakfast was very poor. Expensive, poor value.

I booked the unforgettable love package for Gazebo dining on 14 Feb through email and was asked to confirm spa timing separately. On the date of check in, staff informed booking reference not given, staff proceeded with check in based on spa confirmation email I received from SOFITEL. After check in while I was in the room, staff called to notify Gazebo dining was not available and counter proposed. The dinner at the Cliff after spa at about 8.30pm ended late till 10.15pm, neighbouring couple's order was overlooked too. The booking reference was sent on 15 Feb after my email reminder. Overall, our experience at SOFITEL is very disappointing.

« Nice resort providing variety of activities for families »

We enjoyd a lot very nice room we had (Garden Villa) and restaurants in the hotel. However, from time to time the service was on not the level we expected. Especially in the reception and Kwee Zeen restaurant. The best service we got was by the waiters in the pool bar.

« A restful break in a top location »

This was our second visit to the hotel (our first being in 2012, before it was Sofitel). We were delighted by the ambiance, facilities and especially the welcoming ethos of the staff. Our Prestige Suite was very comfortable, and had all the amenities we hoped for.

« Just love the rooms and ambience »

It was a valentine's day "Sweetheart Retreat". As it was a working day, we only managed to check in late in the evening. Check in was ok until we started to enquire about our restaurant reservation which apparently had not been made by your staff and almost causing us not to be able to get a seat for our valentine's dinner which comes with the package. Nevertheless the beauty of the ambience especially those lovely peacocks that were roaming freely and the nature surrounding the whole resort was so captivating that we put those unpleasantness behind us. Dinner didn't go too well either. Despite the alert on the coronvirus issue, food was being left unserved for more than 20mins on a serving table behind our table while servers were walking up and down empty handed aimlessly and in an unorganised manner and even exchanging conversation over the unserved food. Thumbs were dipped into plates and bowls while being carried to the patrons' table with little regard whatsoever to hygiene. Yucks! We waited for more than 30mins to be served our appetizer - fresh oyster - which was actually sitting at the serving table for as long as the wait. When finally one of the server decided to place it on our table, both my wife and I were staring at the oyster, wondering if we might get food poisoning from consuming it since it probably has already been exposed to bacteria from the air while sitting at the serving table waiting to reach us - its consumer. Thank God no food poisoning suffered. After the appetizer, we were placed on wait again for as long as we could remember while some others who came in after us got their food served to them. A simple dinner that could have been completed in 1 hr's time, finally took us 2.5 to 3hrs to complete. Hence our plan for a romantic night stroll was totally being flushed down the drain as it was already 10pm and we wanted to get into the room to drop our bags and take a warm shower after being tired out from a day's work and the long wait for our dishes at the dinning table. The most pleasant and welcoming surprise was when we entered into a big, spacious and luxury room. It was so inviting and we instantly fell in love with it, promising that we will make another visit in the future whenever there are such attractive promotions despite the bad experience at the restaurant. We would give a full five star to the accommodation. We were also pleased with was the 1hr spa treatment that came along with the package which we felt was too short lived. We had enjoyed every moment of our stay (except dinner) and would definitely make a come back on another occasion.

« Wonderful relaxing day »

My Husband and I were staying at the Sofietel and spent a day in the Spa. We both agreed that the massages we chose were probably the best we have ever had, although a bit pricy. The time we spent around the pool, making use of the mud bath was beautifully relaxing and the meal we had in the restaurant there was very good.

« Good comfortable stay overall. »

Overall an above than average experience except for a little sign in the room that says "No durian". It would have been largely alright if the sign is consistent throughout your property and that's in English only. I can't help feeling a little racist as it is the only signage throughout the property to be in both English and Chinese. It gives people the impression that only people of Chinese origin will bring in durians. I do hope the management can exercise a little bit of sensitivity.

A perfect getaway holiday to escape from hustle bustle in big city. We really enjoy the food; breakfast and dinner are above our expectations.
