We liked the hotel and food, but neither of us could sleep because of the rock hard pillows! Husband had to get bath towel to use as a pillow, not ideal

Don’t understand the on line booking when we had to complete forms again on arrival . Plus confusing parking charges . We paid on arrival but it looked like the charge was also added to the room , it took a call to sort it

Most staff delightful one male receptionist not pleasant at all. Room fine but grout needed replaced in shower. Furniture in bar/lounge quite tatty. Breakfast great. Better signage needed through industrial estate.

« Everything you need and friendly too! »

I was very impressed. My room was clean, bright and very well thought out. I was surprised at the little touches like a nice reading light and comfy sofa. The staff were super-friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. Food was great although I could have done with a better selection at breakfast - I am vegan and could only have beans on toast (no tomatoes or mushrooms)

« Not the best choice for the airport »

I am an Accor Platinum member but received no drink voucher or even a small bottle of water as a compliment. Very new and untrained staff. The airport is accessible by a 5-7 minute walk and then catch a monorail to the terminal. Ibis or Novotel at Birmingham airport are really better choices.

Friendly staff as we arrived very early and had to leave our suitcases, as we did not want to take them to Birmingham as meeting up with Family. Staff accomodated the storage and allowed us to pre-book, and pick up the key later when we arrived back. Slept well good breakfast and check out was great.

My first room was very cold and the window handle was broken - thankfully it was changed no issues, but I had the sense it was broken for some time. In addition there was no room service, which, to be honest, it not very customer centric.

The hotel is convenient for work so I continue to stay regularly throughout. Staff are great, rooms are comfortable but the dining facilities are not great. No table service now, we were a group of 4 and all received our meals at different times after all ordering at the bar consecutively. Menu choices limited and has not changed in a long time. Starter had to be returned as cold soup, No room service, very disappointing as this is something that business travellers really rely on at times

« Nice but cold room »

I stayed for just one night as I was attending the Birmingham Spring Fair at the NECC. The room was very nice but it felt cold and there was no spare blanket anywhere so I wore extra clothes in bed. I was surprised at the lack of vegetarian and vegan options on the dinner menu and for breakfast. Generally, although nicely served, the food options were quite unhealthy and the chunky salad I had at dinner was dripping in a strong dressing which made it uneatable for me. The staff were quite friendly, not particularly kind or warm.

« Good stay, clean rooms and friendly staff, but the evening meals could be better, if presented with vegetables »

I ate twice at the hotel restaurant, the first night choosing the special , fish dish. That was it, a slice of fish on 3 small potatoes and a couple of green beans for £13.95 The second night was the Pie and Chips option , and that was all you got for £13.95, pie and chips and a touch of gravy. Both meals would have been more complete if there was a side of fresh veg to accompany them.

Hotel very close to major roads and double glazing did not keep the noise of traffic out. Bar food in the evening was good, but breakfast was barely warm and tables were not cleaned.

Paid for my food and drinks on my room tab after putting a £50 holder on my card - was told to settle and pay on checkout - on checkout was told there was no record and my account was £0. The following day they took £27.70 out my bank account - I need a receipt for this - Phoned hotel and they still cant find any payment records to send me a receipt and are looking into it! Not a professional service for customer staying for business
