« A good place to stay in Kensington »

I chose this hotel mainly for it's location near Earl's Court Underground which was quite convinient for me to get out and about in London. Being part of the Ibis / Accor group I also knew what to expect as I have stayed in independant hotels in London before and have had some less pleasant experiences. it was a satisfying stay overall even if a couple of things could have been better. When I arrived there were about 5 members of staff at reception, only one greeted me when I came in although there were no other customers in the lobby. All the staff was busy chatting about working hours or something like that and I feel these type of conversations are more suited to the back office than to the front desk where they can be overheard by guests. I went to the lady who had greeted me to check in, she was very helpful but also clearly distracted by the chatter going on around her. The room itself was quite small, I know space is a premium on London so that was not really a huge problem. The television was not working that great. I didn't C. to London to watch TV but it was a nice thing to do in the evening, maybe this was just due to the storm outside and is not normally a problem. I was slightly less happy with the bathroom. The door didn't close and I was worried about condensation setting off the smoke detector in the bedroom, however it did not. Although the room looked mostly clean, the floor to the bathroom seemed a little mouldy and could probably do with a deep cleaning. I rather enjoyed the breakfast and found that there was plenty of choice. Not perfect but overall satisfying and good value for a hotel in the heart of London.

Quick and easy check in and out although no speedy checkout as with other Accor brand hotels Breakfast room was small and busy, struggled to find a seat, staff a bit too efficient taking away plates and cups that were not finished. Room was OK, couldn’t remove the subtitles from the TV which was annoying Bathroom was cold and the extractor fan was loud and took ages to go off but it was convenient and good value

« Very central and convenient location »

A comfortable room with the usual adequate amenities. Hogarth Road is a quiet link between Earls Court Road and Gloucester Road so traffic is light and therefore non intrusive. I should say, however, that Room 104 has a connecting door to Room 105 and conversations and "activities" from 105 were very intrusive

« Great location »

Really lovely hotel at great price. Not quite as close to our destinations as claimed (3min walk to closest tube rather than the place itself)however the room was v clean & tastfully decorated. We were upgraded too so were v pleased. Great selection of fresh produce for breakfast as well as the much appreciated cooked breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

On arrival, we did not get to check in early. But we could leave our luggage to luggage room, with luggage tag attached on it. We were told to leave our luggage by the bar, receptionist would take it to a room. We came back about 4 hours later, and our luggage was still by the bar, so anyone could take it. Not the service that expected. Room was nice and clean, but one bottle warm water for "another refreshing surprise" for two people was just so sad.... Did not feel a platinum member at all.

« Excellent location but some points definitively to improve! »

4-night-stay in family. Excellent location: a few hundreds meters from Earl's Court underground (Picadilly line). We had asked for a quiet room and got one on top of all the A/C machines running all day and night long. We had to "beg" for towels - sorry for not being used to use only 1 tiny towel per person especially with long hair. We wished we could have kept towels from one day to the other but the lack of air recycling in the tiny bathroom made it impossible to dry them. Cleaning could be improved as well as breakfast which is quite poor. Some staff at the reception desk more friendly than others. When questioning the Accor standards, I have been told by the not very friendly Diana that the hotel is a franchise from Accor and that basically they do what they want. I was indeed shocked when I have been asked 2 pounds per piece of luggage that we were to leave for a few hours... No need to say that there is of course no special treatment at all for the Accor members. No ramp for disabled people or to take in or out the luggages from the hotel.

We've stayed here before and we'll stay again. The place is comfortable, great staff and great value. Just a short walk to Earls Court tube station and a slightly longer walk to the museums. Perfect for exploring this area of London.

I love the way Inis welcome you back. I asked for a quiet room like I’d had last time in this Ibis, located well for my meetings that week. Not only did they make sure that was sorted, I had a little treat waiting for me to welcome me back. That happened at another Ibis I like to use when I’m in London. It’s those little things. The room upgrade as a silver member was greatly appreciated too.
