No security, had to lock ourselves in at 8pm

Drunk group of people running through yelling until well into the night. A manager spoke to them once and it didn’t stop. The noise was ridiculous. The bath tap didn’t stop so you had cold water flowing on your feet while showering. The restaurant service was spectacular for dinner. Could not fault the food or staff.

We had a lovely stay. The room /hotel is a little worn and hotel surrounds seemed grotty (I get it's in the outback though) . The escarpment restaurant served amazing food. It was a great base to see surrounding attractions and the staff were awesome and helped out local knowledge /attractions.

Very well located.

We had two great teas and two great breakfasts. The staff were very good and friendly. We will be coming back again in the dry season.

False evacuation alarm

The fact that a false evacuation alarm went off at 7 on a Sunday morning, with no staff able to immediately say why.... and being forced out of bed half-dressed for nearly an hour... was really not great. Our whole day's plan was thrown out due to this.

Interesting hotel shaped as a crocodile

Peter S Couples - TripAdvisor review

We had one night stay at the hotel in connection with a trip in the National Park. Despite other review we found the room nice and clean. The hotel is old, and this can be seen in the rooms and in general. Anyway, it was a nice experience. The room was large with windows facing the inner side of the hotel. Two beds, chairs, and a table. The bathroom was reasonable big, clean and with towels. A possibility for making your own coffee was provided. Unfortunately, the water cooker cut the fuse in the morning. This problem was not solved while we were in the room even though we called for service. It was good fun to shower from the light of the telephone 😊
