I’m a customer of Accor Network! Third time I’ve been in this Hotel! While some Hotels let the rooms being degradate, Novotel keeps the rooms cleaned and very comfortable! We loved to stay here! Sure we’re going to come back

Stayed in the hotel for a night. It was a good experience though the breakfast could have been slightly better. Rooms were well lit and had a good view up front.

Unacceptable cleanliness standards. Avoid at all costs. Furniture, bedsheets, doors, handles etc. The employees and the management don't care, either. The location is nice, but nothing can excuse dirty rooms.

We deeply regret your dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the rooms. Provisions have already been taken and once again we assure you that it is our commitment to strictly follow the hygiene and safety certification standards that the hotel has to meet during the pandemic. Our sincere apologies.

Staff made sure bedding was correct for our children (we got two rooms), arranged room service, airport transfers, all with professionalism.

Despite being an Accor Gold member and my Company uses the hotel quite often I was offered a room on the 4th floor which stank of mold. The bathroom light bulb was not working and the duvet cover had blood marks. I also found a suspicious object left by the previous guest in room safe. The door lock was not working properly. Then my secretary called next day and arranged for a room transfer but the morning front desk receptionist didn’t tell the evening receptionist who then told first that there was no room available. After I insisted I was given another room in the second floor.

I was given a disabled room which as you all know, is right by the elevators, and the inside designed for the comfort of a disabled customer. I queried this with reception and I was told there is more room available which is extremely hard to believe.

Damp in all rooms - would like a refund

As you can see I am Silver Accor and I have never complained previously about a hotel I demand a refund for my stay at this hotel. I was originally offered Room 564 which had mould on the walls and ceiling and smelt very strongly of damp the whole time. The dampness was also visible on the fridge door which had heavy condensation on the outside to the extent there was a pool of water underneath. The hotel staff moved my to room 580. Which had exactly the same problems. When I asked for another room, I was told the damp problem was an issue throughout the hotel and another room would not improve the situation. As such I spent 4 nights in a damp hotel which caused some breathing and sore throat problems. This spoiled my limited time in RIo. I suspect the hotel is a health hazard. I have no complaints regarding the hotel staff. I have photos of mould and condensation if you require. I have not reviewed the hotel online and do not, at the moment, intend to share my thoughts on social media. COuld you please refund the total amount. Andy Accor 3081033039262024

Spectacular view from the rooms at the front - with 16 lanes of traffic double glazing would have been a good idea ! Location in Botafogo suited us well. Not the most successful of interior designs for a Novotel though. Seem to have condensation or leak problems in at least some rooms. Also has a wonderful view of the toilets just as you enter the restaurant - closing door would help this.

I stayed in this hotel many times, but in the last time I had a problem with the clean. When I arrived the chair and the cups of the room were dirty. The room smelt bad too. I think that the Accor was minimized the clean service. Well, the others services are OK, mainly the reception.

Stylish and new hotel with good standard and very good location

The hotel is relatively new and the rooms spacious and stylish. Just as the lobby including a bar and big TV screen is. The bathroom was a little bit worn-out. But nevertheless the standard is quite good for a hotel in Rio. Breakfast is good - I only missed a good Cappuccino. Location is everything at this hotel. Located in Botafogo iyou have easy access to the nearby shopping mall and with the metro only 200m away, the whole city is easy to explore. Friendly and English speaking staff available at the reception.

Novotel Praia de Botafogo is a nice hotel. It does have a good localization in Rio de Janeiro. But there are a few drawbacks: shower is bipolar - extremely hot or extremely cold. And although you have nice Panasonic flat screens, there's no HD channels.
