We were attended by Jasmine and it was all going smoothly when another lady called us back and things went unexpected turn horrible. I assume she was the Duty Manager, instead of providing solutions she insisted in our mistead make by the booking process. The tone she use was not so professional which could tarnish the ACCOR brand standard.

Me abd my wife have stayed at this hotel about seven times. But this stay was very average to slightly below. The room (110) we were allocated was adequate but not wgat we had expected compared to previously stays. The view from the window was large pipes. The staff we came across were not same previous and were not as welcoming as the staff we have met in past. I would like to give a lot of praise and credit to young felllow who prepared our room each day. This has not deterred us from coming back. We absolutely love this hotek for many reasons.

« clean quiet friendly and a good choice of breakfast »

Stayed on a sunday night before mums funeral the next day staff were helpful and smily room was clean and not too hot bed was comfortable. Good strong shower. Breakfast is help yourself buffet food was fresh and inviting. Only slight issue for me was having to lift my bag up the steep steps at the front i wasn't asked if i needed to use the lift that is there or if i needed help.

As far as the car parking charge is concerned, we charge is £6 for 24hr of parking. This in our view reflects extremely good value for money as most hotels in the town center are unable to provide their own car parking and if they do they charge for it its usage in excess of £10 or more. first time at this hotel and will be staying again. rooms were good and breakfast was great. have daughter living nearby so need for transport into reading but buses very good. the staff were all very friendly and professional. will be using this hotel as a base for an upcoming wedding next year.

would have been a 110 but having to pay for parking is a big down vote. never paid for it in tyhe past. perhaps after the first car like 2 sharing a room would then fine I would understand but charging on top of the room booking is a big no for me

Expecting an average stay but room was good but breakfast was outstanding both in content and the attentiveness of the team in the restaurant well done. Car park entrance a real issue for larger vehicles.

The hotel was ok and the family room was spacious. But I am really dissatisfied about the way the guest car park is managed. I paid my 4 days of parking when arriving, but nobody made sure that my rented car plate was correctly registered into the external system that is provided. Not I am facing a fine that could be in the range of 300 pounds. The hotel staff later explained that they do not manage the car park, and I need to wait for the fine to try to get this sorted out. I find unreasonable that hotel collects the parking money and then says that it's not responsible for the process. As a matter of fact my car is rented, and I will incur in extra admin charges from the rental company before we can even start considering how I can get my money back. And this "third party" system only acknowledges correct input when correct input is made, but gives no info if the process is not completed correctly. That leaves customers completely unaware on whether they've made the reservation right. And again, the hotel takes no responsibility, and the economic loss is all on customers. I am pretty sure I am not the first one to have experienced this in this hotel.

We had a poor experience at the hotel. It started with £6.00 charge for the car park staff had a real problem getting a key cut for the room there seemed to be a staff shortage and lots of un professional situations ie. till on bar not working hotel looks dirty and room was not up to usual ibis standards ie dirty wash basin evening meal was an expensive microwave meal breakfast was a continental and not very good ie cheese looked like it had been out for days compared to the ibis styles we stayed at the following night in a different town this one was very poor

people in room next to me were noisy stayed two night. first night the bed was badly made sheets not tucked in. seem to have picked up some kind of cold from my stay. the maid who did my room the next morning did a wonderful job and was polite and friendly

« Very convenient and comfortable overnight stay »

Bedroom was fine, bed comfortable. Shower good. Good selection of breakfast food, and nice to be able to take a couple of leisurely hours over it, with other friends also staying there. Car parking was fine. Very good value.

Ok stay friendly staff.. not a good sleep as heard door slamming most of the night so not sound proff. Breakfast was good but not a cooked one... wit h is ok but when they do it for 1 persons because he dont understand is not fair on others.

No hot breakfast suppose to book this when booking room. Room booked through work so no hot breakfast choice. Evening meal was a poor choice not even a burger on menu and the fries where over cooked
