I have stayed at the Ibis Shoes Hotel quite often over the last few months, due to business duties. The staff are helpful, friendly and cheerful. They let me have use of an ironing board and iron which is appreciated. I hope to use the Ibis Styles Hotel in the near future too.

The hotel is well located and the staff greet you upon arrival, this cannot be faulted. However, I found the room very cold and tried to phone reception using the bedroom phone but nobody answered. I went down to ask for an additional blanket, and I was told the blanket would be sent up. Two hours later I tried calling from the bedroom phone again and nobody picked up. Yet, when I called from my mobile phone the reception answered and sent somebody up with a blanket. Unfortunately he (nor anybody else) were wearing masks when moving about the hotel and this is very concerning from a perspective of COVID-19 compliance.

The receptionist was incredibly friendly and the curry in the restaurant was crazy delicious - especially since we had been traveling for weeks. The room was decorated with airport / spaceship vibes which was really cute, even though the last place I wanted to be was an airport haha. It was very clean and comfortable and after just an hour there I decided to sign up for the free reward program so that I can try to stay at an Ibis in the future. My husband and I usually stay at airbnbs so that we have more space but anytime we need a hotel instead we're going to check you guys out!

Stayed for 2 nights in December, room was small but fine for somewhere to put our head down. Restaurant was closed but you were able to order over the phone then collect it and bring it back to your room. Only small gripes was we phoned and asked if there was a fridge in the room. The receptionist seemed unsure and said there was, so we bought some bits to put in it, but when we got to the room there wasn’t one. Also, we were told due to Covid housekeeping wouldn’t be coming into the rooms until check out, which was fine by us. However, we came back to find someone had been in the room and tidied up, which is fine, I just wish we’d known rather than being told something different. Apart from that, good value for money.

Noisy with no staff back up

People walking around the hotel without face coverings, a couple of guys opposite my room smoking with the door open and talking on their mobiles in the corridor past 0230am. Called reception and no response, told reception in the morning and just a shrug of the shoulders. Corridor stank of pot from this room. As the hotel is relatively empty why are you putting guests on top of each other like this? Poor, third time I've stayed and the first in a year because of the current situation. Won't be going back.

I found the staff to be cheerful and helpful. The girl at reception, I didn't notice her name, kindly gave me an umbrella, to return after use, a pen, ironing board and am iron. I visit this Hotel quite often, and the assistance was most welcome.

Stayed for one night ,payed in full for hotel and parking and late check-out,hotel and parking 60£,late check-out 20 £ after couple of days they charge my card second time ,payed another 48£ for nothing.check your payments,what they charging for .

The room was fine, but the shower door was falling, the tap on the shower very hard to turn. A lot of noise from indside the hotel during the night. But the worse was a cleaning lady trying to open and knoking on my door at 9:30 when my check out was at 12h. So I can't recommend this hotel to anyone .

The pictures show a modern, stylish hotel, which it perhaps was when opened but it felt worn out and not quite as fresh and bright as the pictures show. I appreciate an airport hotel has a high footfall but people staying before or after a flight still deserve a well kept up hotel to rest in. We arrived late and the room was very cold, I rang down to the reception, there was no reply so went down and the reception and the person was there, I said I had tried to call, to which there was no response, so I am unsure why they didn't answer the phone? They informed me that it would take 20 minutes to warm up - the room never warmed up and was very cold when we woke in the morning for an early start. It was advertised as there was enhanced cleaning and I didn't feel it was clean eg the light switches had finger prints on them, the refreshment box smelt of vinegar, the kettle lead had brown sauce all over it, the handle was sticky, telephone had splash marks all over it and the carpet had so many swirly colours in it I wasn't sure what was pattern and what were stains?
