Broken AC

We had a problem with our airconditioning. It made a terrible noise that kept us awake for a big part of the night. In the morning I reported this to the receptionists and they assured me that the problem would be fixed. For me, this was difficult to believe, as it was in a weekend (Saturday) and to find a specialist for fixing this problem would not be easy. Anyway, we came home after a long day and at night time the problem still occured. Another bad night for us (2 out of 4). This is a bad deal, as I really would enjoy my night rest! I reported again to the receptionist. The first lady was friendly and took my report serious. After breakfast I wanted to make sure the problem was noted as urgent, but then another receptionist behaved bad. I got a big mouth from her and she told me that the hotel was probably not able to fix the AC. I asked her friendly to report the problem to her manager, but she told me that he was not available till Tuesday (the day we left). I could not believe what I heard, but I wanted to go out with my family and continue the discussion later that day as I came back. Luckily, the problem was solved by giving us another room. That was good so far, but I now realize that I had 2 very poor nights due to a broken AC. 2 nights without a good sleep. I paid for those 2 nights! I paid for 2 nights in a row without a lot of sleep. Not only for me, but also for my family members.

We are very sorry to hear what happen during your stay, it is not in our principle to respond like this when one of our guest have an issue. Our staff member is here to help you during all your stay for any questions or problems. We failed and we are truly sorry. We have technicians who are working 24/7 to respond at every request we might have but in some case the problem can be more important than expected and we need to call an professional company to fix the problem. In your case, we think that we didn't communicate well with you to explain the situation. Be assure that we will talk to our staff member and that this type of behavior will not happen again. We received a very warm welcome on the arrival, a greeting card from the hotel team and some welcome amenities :) it was very pleasant, thank you for that! The hotel is brilliantly located next to the metro and tram station, so everything could be reached very easily. The view from the room was amazing and my request for the room with "Parisian balcony" was fulfilled, thank you :) and the soundproof is simply great, you almost can't hear the street and not sure if we had any neighbours, but we didn't hear any of them either. Everyday cleaning was great, always on time, never encountered with anyone of the team. As we got in the heat wave we really appreciated detox water on the reception, it is a great idea! The only thing is that maybe an AC in our room needs to be checked - it didn't disturb at all and was working, but sometimes was making a sound like it collected a some condensate.
