Business trip and schedule changed so early check out. There was no upgrade and welcome gift and sauna was not running which was pity.

As we are a business hotel so that room category is limited, only standard and superior. Unfortunately, there is only 1 superior room. Most of dates are fully booked. It is very difficult to provide room upgrade. Also, we don't provide a welcome amenity for member's benefit. We apologize not to be able to give you satisfactory answer. I really enjoyed staying here every moment! I really appreciate all of lovely and friendly staff who welcomed me with smile and greetings whenever they saw me! I liked my clean hotel room, the view from my room, especially the auto-flush function in the toilet! I wish all the hotel rooms in the world have the auto-flush function in the toilet! ;-P I also love the location where I can go to Myungdong, Namsan, Dongdaemoon, Gwanghwamoon and Kangnam easily by walking or by bus. The food in the restaurant in 21F was also great. There was a washer and a dryer for my laundry to use for free. The only thing that I hoped for was breakfast... since there was no breakfast service due to COVID situation... :( Maybe next time... I am sure that I want to revisit here later again! Until then, thank you all, all the staff!

But, we could't find your member ID on Accor web site with your e-mail address which you wrote down on this reservation.(Only the way that we can search Accor membership ID is guest's e-mail address.) Instead of Accor membership, we found that you are a member of Ambassador Loyalty program so that we credited points on Ambassador membership. I hope you consider this and check your Accor membership ID. If you want to credit Accor points, please give us Accor membership ID. Then, we can modify it. Tiny room and extra charge for toothbrush/robe

Very nice hotel but negative impression right away when I was told at check-in toothbrush is 1000 won. When I expressed surprise the desk attendant gave me one with out charge which was a good decision on his part. Then I got to the room and no robe, so called down and found out 2000 won. It was then I decided I would not stay here in the future. To you it’s only 3000 won which I realize is a small amount, but to me you should just adjust your room rate to cover these costs and not irritate the customer with little extra costs. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Seoul and have never paid extra for a toothbrush and robe, even at discount hotels not as nice as yours. And something simple like your small bottles of water instead of standard size that every other hotel offers. In my opinion you’re making bad decisions for your level of clientele. Cut costs some other way or just raise your rate a few thousand won. It’s a shame because your hotel is very nice. The next night I stayed at G2 nearby and for a similar room cost I had a much larger room, plush robe, large bottles of water, and an experience where I felt treated special. I just want to give you my honest opinion and maybe it will help you in your goal of excellent customer care. Thank you!

Just get across the street using the crosswalk right in front of this hotel and there's Myeongdong. And behind this hotel there's another districts like Uljiro, which I've heard got famous recently. And this hotel provides a decent view. Staff members were very friendly and nice.

It was a nice stay overall, although we didn't really use any of the facilities. The bathroom inside our room was a little new for me. It looked like a portable one, rather than a regular bathroom. Also if there is information about the parking tower and the fee, that would have been better. Overall it was a good stay!

The location was great. The room was a bit small, but it had all the basic necessities. Wish they had a rack or something in the bathroom for placing clothes. Korea weather was rather dry; it would be nice if they could provide body lotion in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. They all know several languages; we were able to communicate easily.

This was my 3rd stay at the Ibis Styles Ambassador (Myeongdong) and it was a satisfying as the last time. Overall a great value for money given its proximity to both the airport shuttle bus stop and the Seoul metro lines; on the topic of location, it's situated just far enough from the noise and crowds of Myeongdong itself but still within very short walking distance of it should one desire to do a bit of tourist shopping there and nearby Namdeamun market. Would definitely stay consider staying here again.

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel and I found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. The room itself was very clean and the bed was comfy. The shower, washroom and toilet was also very clean and the items (toiletries, towels etc.) were of high quality and replaced when needed. However, I found that the shower, in the morning would lose water pressure when trying to use the hot water. The hot water pressure would return to normal after waiting a little while, so it didn't cause too much of an issue for me, but if you need to leave the hotel early it could be a problem.

I was initially was going to stay here for six days, then explore more of Korea, but my plans changed and as I liked this place so much, I extended my stay. Getting to the hotel from the airport was an easy bus ride and short walk. Very efficient check-in, then to my spacious, quiet modern, upgraded room :) Clean, with a comfortable bed, and quiet. What more can you ask? I opted to include breakfast, and was not disappointed with the selection. There was a good range of continental and local options. And the coffee machine knocked out a nice cappuccino. The hotel's location is excellent, being close to 2 metro stops, and a convenience store is meters away. And there is a cool Luft Cafe nearby. I even walked to the Seoul Tower. The staff was helpful in answering my touristy questions. If I'm ever is Seoul again, I will stay here.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it had a nice rooftop cafe. However the location is so near to Seoul station, two train stations away, some taxi drivers did not want to take the passengers there. It may be difficult for people with large luggage or not convenient in walking.

Good stay, but not all rooms were built equally

The hotel is extremely well located as it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Myeongdong station, the airport limousine stop and also the Myeongdong shopping and food precinct. If you're a first timer to Seoul, then this is a great option to base your stay. As i was playing tour guide to some of my first-time friends, it was incredibly easy to reach the palaces (25-minute walk through the Cheongye Stream), N-Seoul Tower (walking path or cable car), and easy subway access to Dongdaemun. Breakfast is ok (neither good nor bad) but after 3 days, it can get a bit dull. There's a convenience store just downstairs and to the left if you don't want to pay for breakfast. One thing I was very pleased with was the free laundry room in the basement. There is only one washer and one dryer, so it can get quite busy after dinner when everyone has returned to the hotel. They are commercial sized machines, so you can fit a huge amount of clothing in them, so that made it quite easy to combine me and my 2 friends clothes together. Washing powder is provided. The rooms. I stayed in two different rooms on two separate occasions during the same trip. The first time I chose the cheapest and simplest room which turned out to be much better than the more expensive room on the top floor. I couldn't complain with my first room (1503) as the room was big, clean and comfortable enough (for 2), and I had great water pressure in the shower. My second stay in 2002 (the expensive room), did not live up to expectations (and price). While the room was bigger and more comfortable, the shower was quite a let down. Very poor water pressure and it was a combined bathtub and shower with a glass panel covering half the shower meaning the bathroom floor was easily wet (despite the poor water pressure). Conclusion: It's a great hotel for first-timers to Seoul. If you get a room that's not up to standard, definitely mention it and try to get it rectified. I probably wouldn't stay here again (as i've stayed here twice) as I'd like to base myself in a different part of the city next time.
