This was a business stay. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Bar service was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and very fresh. Parking was easy and free. Overall extremely satisfied.

« Fell short of expectations »

Having got to my room (preferred guest for which extra was paid) I found that the central heating was making a lot of noise. This was due to air in the system and should have been relatively easy to rectify. I went to reception and complained and was allocated another preferred guest room. This was after I had been out for dinner, as the Hotel restaurant was closed. This second room suffered from the same noisy heating, but as there was only one radiator instead of two in the first room, it wasn't quite as noisy. By the time I had moved everything from one room to another, I didn't want to have to go through the whole process again, so decided to put up with it for that night. The following morning, I reported it again to a different person on reception, explaining that the noise which sounded like a tap running was due to air and that the system needed bleeding. The same issue in both rooms probably meant that the whole 4th floor was affected. There was no noise when the valve was closed, but it was cold and the heating was required. The young man at reception promised that it would be dealt with, but on my return for the second night, it was exactly the same and nothing had been done. I received no explanation and no apology and felt that further complaint would result in exactly the response that I had received to this point. Absolutely no action what so ever. At the very least, I would have expected someone to let me know that the fault was too big for them to correct in the time available and that they would provide another heater for the room so that the radiator could be isolated. A shame, because everything else was OK with my stay and the Hotel is very convenient for a Customer I need to visit on a regular basis.

Mr. M., We thank you for choosing the Mercure Maurepas Saint Quentin Hotel for your stay in the Yvelines. We apologize for this incident that has ruined your stay. Our receptionist did not realize that November 11 being a holiday, the repair was not possible. The recent start of heating at the beginning of winter produces this kind of inconvenience that we sincerely regret. We wish to be forgiven too, therefore I propose to upgrade you in a suite during your next stay. Rest assured that everything will be done to solve this problem sustainably. The room was boiling hot, the air conditioning did not work, it was not safe to leave window open as it had no security lock, pillows were cheap, the soap was disgusting and there was a huge bug in room. Check out was appalling no how was your stay ? Just a robot

The alternation of high and low pressures marked the month of October this year and by its size, the building takes time to balance the temperature. This peculiarity has affected your stay and we are sincerely sorry. We have installed NUXE soap dispensers a few months ago and invite our customers to use the "Fast Check Out" which simplifies the departure formalities. « Ok hotel - for a Mercure »

The food is surprisingly good for a hotel of this sort in a place like this. Staff are friendly but the check out counters not made for large groups checking out at the same time. Rooms are ok, but in need of some refurbishment.

« Very basic rooms, majority of staff unhelpful and rude »

At €190 a night one has the right to expect something more than an absolutely basic room and poorly maintained bathroom, cheap rough towels etc. Staff need a serious shake up — with one exception at reception, all staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, even downright rude. Hotel needs refurbishing and a management needs a major shake up.

A good clean business hotel. Good breakfast choices and very good house keeping. The room was always well presented and clean. As I arrived and left on a weekend, I was disappointed ~I could not use the restaurant in the evenings Sat/Sun but I do understand why only a breakfast is avail on a Sat morning.

« Good value in a convenient, clean and friendly hotel. »

Highlights were nicely refurbished restaurant; much warmer, comfortable and better environment. Good room layout, with reliable wifi; a good business experience. Good machines in gym. Not so good - food quality at dinner 6/10. Breakfast 5/10; very limited choice and old overheated hot food. No free weights in the gym. Good front of house staff.
