Very impressed with our recent stay. I had checked in online earlier and when we arrived at 9.30am straight from the cruise dock, we were able to check in to our room immediately. The room with twin beds was bigger than expected and clean and well furnished. We were also given a late checkout of 12 noon which was much appreciated. The staff member at reception was so helpful and accommodating. He even helped us locate our Uber driver !

Requested a quiet room at back and it was indeed so. A smallish room, but comfortable bed, clean room & en-suite. Staff at check-in & check-out were friendly & helpful. Great central location in city for Festival Theatre,Fringe activities, & tram.

Initially I got a room with a very noisy air-con but that was quickly fixed with a more to another room. The rooms are small and the bathroom smaller, but there are well appointed with a comfortable bed. Which is what you actually need. Only issue is the noise from activity outside in the early morning

I booked a room through the Accor site, it was listed as Classic Queen Bed room. As a Platinum member I have often been upgraded, though I recognise this cannot always take place. In this instance no upgrade was offered with the reason provided being that they do not upgrade on New Years Eve. The fact that this was done twice in the past...I guess things change. The car park was full leaving us with a long walk from the overflow site with our belongings to the hotel. The room we were assigned was very small and had a broken blind over a window looking out to a dirty rooftop. There were several mosquitoes in the room which did not make the idea of staying there pleasant. I approached the front desk regarding this issue whilst my husband stayed in the room and killed several insects. The young man I spoke to was lovely, the only decent service we received, though he had to defer to someone more senior. With no rooms like the one we booked apparently we were assigned another room, one where steps were required to be traversed, with luggage to get to. No offer to help transfer our belongings was made. The new room has a double bed, not a queen, clearly I did not get what I had booked. The bed was pushed up against the wall which makes it very uncomfortable for 2 people to share. There were several moths flying around and the bathroom had mould evident. We decided to accept what we had as we would be out most of the night anyway. As we departed I was asked by the front desk if the room was better. When I responded that the room had the bed against the wall I got a 'yeah sorry' and a shrug. I certainly did not feel like the woman at the front desk cared what I thought. When we returned it was time to get some sleep, the room was so cold and there was no mechanism available to adjust the room temperature, I slept in a jumper as the blankets were very thin and inadequate. Being up against the wall and in a small bed it was an uncomfortable night. I was offered breakfast the next morning as part of my Platinum privileges. When we went up the stairs and gave our room number, the woman servicing marked the room and then stood in front of us staring at us for 15 seconds or so, we could not get past her without pushing her aside and she was simply standing there. It was very weird. Breakfast was OK, bacon was chewy, choice was limited but at least it was edible. And all of this does not cover the experience we had getting out of carpark but I have run out of room.

The rooms are ill designed. The bathroom is terrible even by Ibis won standard. The check in and check out reception is professional. The breakfast is manageable. However the staff at breakfast did not serm professional. Hope I am wrong but got a feeling of not a very positive disposition towards an Indian well not that I care considering that hotel fortunately is not a monopolistic industry.

The rooms are tiny - not a problem for an overnighter. The noise (Sat night) was terrible until 4 am, then, not long after the light starts to stream in through the ensuite GLASS door. The overflow carparking was not correctly explained and ended up costing us $36 for overnight. The duty manager's unwillingness to do anything to rectify the problem was stupefying. *** Just because it's a budget hotel does not mean that you should not provide respectful service *** If it's true that you get what you pay for, then the Ibis Styles Adelaide Grosvenor is overpriced.

We stayed here on a Saturday night. The rooms are pokey which was okay as it was just an overnight stay. Convenient for football at Adelaide Oval. Unfortunately too close to nightclub district and sleep was limited as the music was so loud and constant screaming of drunken people through the night. Positive that breakfast has a great range. Rooms are clean. Service is friendly. Got a cheap rate for the room so I guess u get what u pay for.

small rooms but comfortable bed and clean. the air conditioner worked well, when the weather was very hot in adelaide during my stay. great central location, with easily accessible and convenient car parking. friendly service. the breakfast was very good. overall cheaper then most other city hotels, and good value for money. great for a short overnight stay.

We spent 3 nights in the Ibis Styles in Adelaide, and as a Silver Accor member I was disappointed in the hotel. It is part of the Mercure and as such is stuck at the side of the building through a maze of corridors. Ibis Styles as a group pride themselves as being quirky and "stylishly different ". Their unique selling point is their attention to detail in decor, and breakfast being included. In Adelaide the decor consisted of painting the corridor in bright Ibis Styles green and sticking up a few pictures of lines. The bedroom was so small that the bed had to be squeezed in a corner under the window and one side against the wall. This meant of course that one person had to clamber over the other to get out of bed! The room was also in need of freshening up, as for example the blind had come adrift from its guides and had become pretty tatty. For some reason breakfast is not included here, perhaps it was because the dining room in the attached Mercure was very small. You could have had breakfast there at an additional cost of $20aud per person. However having said all that the staff were excellent and delivered a super service.

I’ve definitely stayed at better and I’ve stayed at worse. The room was a bit cozy but it was just me so I didn’t need that much room for just my stuff. Either the room was fairly quiet or the adjacent rooms were empty as I didn’t hear any noise from next door. The location of the hotel is great and it was competitively priced and within the amount my company would reimburse. I didn’t eat at the attached restaurant so I can’t comment on that but the flavored water in the lobby was tasty!

Room was freezing I am pretty sure the heating system was down but at least they gave me a fan heater, the bathroom was tiny, the room was in the furthest corner of the hotel and I had the treadmills in the gym in the opposite building staring directly into my room so I had to have the blinds pulled down the whole time so it was like staying in a cave. Blankets don't even have quite covers they are just wrapped in a sheet....?? Staff were lovely and the location perfect for the exhibition centre

An adequate motel, with helpful staff. Rooms are adequate, and of a reasonable standard. It's not a five star hotel, nor does it pretend to be. This is an excellent budget option if not needing to stay in the Adelaide CBD.

Upgraded room was lovely with all amenities and so forth in good condition. Room serviced well. Had drinks at the bar and staff seemed very friendly. Dinner with my friend was lovely and the young woman who served us was happy and so well organised. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is very well ocated for transport and shopping and lots of other attractions. Would definitely stay again!

Bathroom was terribly small. Staff didn't tell me about where breakfast was which I booked in advance. Room could have been smaller and bathroom larger. More like an Ibis Budget Hotel this one but cost over $200 per night so clearly expected more from this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the CBD and Adelaide Oval. The hotel is split into two sections the Mercure and the Ibis Styles, I stayed in a Styles room which appeared to be down the rear end of the property. The room itself was a reasonable size, although I had booked a queen bed room for 3 nights but received a twin. The bathroom was tiny and the noise from the goods lift woke me early every morning and continued during the morning while I was in my room. There was not enough of a barrier to block out the outside noise as well.

When booking this hotel we were not aware the Ibis was the budget part of the hotel. When checking in we were given our room number and after walking up & down corridors came to 2 sets of stairs indicating our room was on the other side of the stairs! Two ladies both aged over 70 were expected to drag suitcases up & down stairs to reach their room. We ended up paying extra to get a room n the main part of the hotel. Will never book this hotel again.

this was probably the worst Ibis I've ever stayed in... the room was the smallest room I've ever stayed in anywhere.. the Queen bed was pushed hard up against one wall. The "table" next to one side of the bed (remember that the other side had none as it was up against the wall) was between the bed and the wall/door to the bathroom. It was so cramped that I had to open the sliding door to allow my elbows some room whilst I used by laptop which only just fitted on the table. When sitting on the toilet your feet ended up in the shower....in fact it was possible to use the shower toilet and basin all at the same time! On the plus side the room and linen were clean, but the room needed a coat of paint and some TLC. Breakfast was overpriced at $27, and was average except for the powered scrambled eggs which were ordinary (to be kind) Staff were great and friendly and looked after us.. I'll not be back.
