Great service, friendly staff, nice location, but the hotel needs a general overhaul. It’s clean and maintained, but very dated.

Convenient and comfortable

The hotel rooms and common spaces are a bit dated but the staff is very nice and helpful and the overall stay was comfortable. The late checkout was great!

Work related visit. Hotel is well situated. Room I stayed in (242) was I think the superior room and as a platinum member I was disappointed not to be upgraded. Views of Mount Etna were promised but on that side of the building and on the second floor with a tree outside this was not possible. Room needs a refresh - wallpaper starting to peel - although very clean and comfortable. Sign on the reception says you are committed to reducing plastic but my cups had plastic wrappers, the tea stirrer in the room was plastic and the small spoons at breakfast also. These are easy things not to have.

An absolute disgrace

Except of the nice staff and the location near the center, this hotel is a disgrace. Let’s start with the wifi. The website states that the room has “high speed internet”. Well, the speed throughout the hotel was 1 Mbps. Not exactly the definition of an high speed. I had to work and use my iPad, so I asked at the reception if there is a higher speed. I received an eye roll from the lady but received a voucher for 1 day for… 6 Mbps. Really took me back to 2005. The room was big, clean, but outdated and not preserved, with many stains on the carpet and walls. In the bathtub there was dampness and the ceiling was peeling. The exterior of the hotel is very old as well, with homeless people sitting by the wall all day and sleeping there are night, so you basically need to go around to pass them. Even the price was way too high for this hotel.
