I have stayed several times. Early morning coffee needs improvement. Someone should make coffee earlier in the morning.

« It was clean, fairly comfortable, but front desk staff could've been more welcoming »

Room was clean, if sparse. Glad to have refrigerator. When I checked in later in the evening after a very trying and difficult day, the young front desk woman was pretty gruff and rude and unwelcoming, and when I asked for an item I needed, it never arrived from her. I called downstairs to inquire about an airport shuttle, and same woman was not only very rude, but inaccurate!! Inexcusable. A man did later bring me the item I needed, though, and he was very polite. Room was sparse, and a little weird to figure out (where's the kleenex box, towels, etc.?? How to turn on lights? Found them, but items were well hidden, at least to me.) I would've loved a nice soak in a tub, but shower/room was ok. "Modern" hotel, apparently more European, although I've been to Europe several times and don't remember rooms being like this. I didn't stay long at hotel, not even 24 hours, and it wasn't my cup of tea, so I probably won't be back, although the rate for NYC was much cheaper than most of the others. If you want something fairly convenient to airport and pretty clean and not fancy, and if you don't expect much service from anyone there, this hotel is fine. Bu that front desk woman's attitude was definitely NOT appreciated.Please train your staff to treat paying customers a little better or with a little more kindness.

« Third Party excuse »

I reserved the room with a person that represented you. I was told I had free outside parking. When I arrived the excuse given was 3rd party company controlling costs. What a bunch of garbage - even if they are 3rd party you can step up and give your customers free parking. I asked how can someone reserving the room for me could tell me free parking. One again, "Sorry that person was a 3rd party". Then when we went down for breakfast - a breakfast buffet, we were told it was not being served because of lack of cliental - like that is my problem. What a bush league operation. We were told we had to go to the hotel next store where we were allowed to pick 1 item from the menu - none of what we wanted. I grew up in Europe - you say this is a European experience...you are right. They do not give a rip about the customer, they have their system and it produces money! I have many friends going to NYC - I will inform them of your "hotel". I put that in quotes because you really are a hostal, but charging hotel prices. Your staff was wonderful and clearly embarrassed by your 3rd party excuse. What really blew my mind is the couple with 4 bags pushing them up from the "Loft"...the hotel next store, in the rain because the shuttle will not stop at the front doors of the Ibis! Unbelievable! Just want you to know I am posting this on yelp, and I have 2 FB pages. My personal page has 5000 so I had to start another page - I have about 8,000 followers, and I am going to post it there too. To pay $800 to stay at a place that treats you like that...Hello Comfort Inn, which was more comfortabke and $400 for the same stay- with free outside parking.

I loved this hotel. Great panoramic view ( Manhattan skyscrapers) in my room, excellent and fast access to Manhattan (Q72, Q33 and subway 7 to directly to Times Square) and La Guardia Airport. Clean and big, beautiful room with sunny, south location, fair prices and friendly staff. If I am in New York again, I will stay at Ibis Style La Guardia!

Good service and helpful staff who found me a room for 5 nights after my child and I had nowhere to go. Only thing I wish is that they had coffee makers in the rooms and maybe a gym and better food selection but they were awesome I would recommend

« Front Desk Service Rep(Gabbie) was Rude, Curt and Unprofessional »

I arrived and Gabbie was at the front desk. When I reserved the room, I asked for an early check in time. Gabbie informed me a room was not available until 3PM. I arrived at 8AM. When I attempted to explain I communicated via email asking for an early check in, Gabbie was not interested and reminded me there are no rooms available. I asked if I could speak with a manager and her response was why, so you can get what you want? Not sure what was happening but the friction I experienced was overwhelming. I told her I needed to speak with a manager because her tone and attitude was unapproachable. We argued for a bit when I finally decided I had enough and sat down and called your corporate office. When I called a short time later a manager appeared even though Gabbie informed me there was no manager on duty. The manager was able to get me checked into a room with double beds instead of a king size bed that I selected in my original reservations. The hotel was beautiful but my front desk experience with Gabbie made the experience toxic. She was not only short with me but with another guest who asked her a question. Perhaps she was having a bad day but when your guest are traveling on little to no sleep the last thing anyone wants is to be treated in a sub standard manner in a place they paid to relax in. Gabbie needs some development and needs to work on her custo.er service skills.

« IBIS Styles excellence let down by easily avoidable problems. »

The hotel room was excellent - immaculately clean, modern and spacious, and right up to the high standard of IBIS Styles. However check-in was far too slow for no apparent reason. The restaurant - which seemed to have little connection with IBIS was truly awful. The menu was very limited, and much of what was on it seemed to be unavailable. I eventually opted for a dish of chicken and potato which was served luke-warm in a ghastly plastic take away container. The potato was lumpy, and the whole dish was easily the worst I have ever been offered in any restaurant. In addition, I was not allowed to charge it to my room account. Whoever is prividing this dreadful catering service to Accor, you need to get rid of them - fast!

Hotel was clean and minimal with friendly staff that were helpful particularly in accommodating my shuttle connection. I was mildly disappointed that the bar and food service were not available that evening after many long flight delays

AC system didn’t work. Waited an hour for maintenance to show after requesting. Waited 20 mins at bar for bartender to show....he never did....I left.
