Disappointing service time and time again!

We've stayed at this hotel many times, but it has gone drastically down hill. Even though the rooms have been refurbished and look very nice, the service is simply appalling. I'm a Diamond member with Accor and frequent Accor hotels often. Membership benefits are generally recognised but not at this hotel. I had booked 3 rooms, one suite and 2 executive rooms, for my family and our parents, given it was Mothers Day on Sunday. I emailed the hotel in advance to advise that my husband and I would be arriving at 11am as we had a function to attend at the MCG, I requested an early check in for our suite so we could freshen up beforehand. I advised we did not require early access to either of the Executive rooms. On arrival our suite was the only room NOT ready. We left our bags with reception and left for the event. We returned around 5pm to find our bags had still not been delivered to our room. As we have access to the Executive Lounge, I had specifically booked executive rooms for our parents so we could all enjoy a quiet breakfast in the lounge and not in the noisy and unhygienic buffet in the restaurant downstairs (on our previous stay a bug had crawled out of my daughters pastry!!). We met a the lounge in the morning only to find it completely empty! No staff, no food and a coffee machine that didn't work. When I spoke with reception they told the lounge was not open for breakfast, but without any reason why! What is the point of paying for the Executive Room? It should be noted before booking that it is not available. And as a Diamond member, I received NO early check in, NO room upgrade (despite making a specific request for both) and the executive lounge was NOT available for breakfast. What is the point of being a loyal member?? This is not the first time our stay has been completely underwhelming, so it's definitely not a one off occurence. Despite the fabulous location, we will not be returning.

Location and room was great, but food and service where disappointing

central location and easy to get around from venue, service was slow and scarce. The food was very disappointing, our morning teas only consisted of something sweet and never anything healthy. No dietary restrictions taken into account, at the very least some fruit could have been put out and the coffee was terrible. Breakfast was just mediocre and coffee again was not good. I am not sure what to say about the lunches except that they were so average and forgettable and if you had any dietary restrictions you had a very unappealing salad. The Gala dinner was the most disappointing of all, the lack of flavor in both the starter and main meal and I am still not sure what the grey mush my fish was on. service at the event was almost non existing and water jugs not even re- filled on the table. Sorry if this feedback seems a bit harsh but this is not the quality - especially the food and coffee- you would expect from a 5 star Hotel in Melbourne.

Food at all mealtimes was poorly presented, not tasty & poor variety for the star quality of the hotel. Was there for 4 days on a work conference, including our gala night. Unfortunately every meal was disappointing-breakfast min choice & what I would expect in a 3 star motel. Lunch was poorly coordinated with food courses & potatoes every meal particularly as on the Wednesday lunch they were hard & not cooked. Sandwiches were very light on with filling & only white bread/white wraps-no bread variety. Would have been good to have rice with casseroles. Dinner at the gala night was atrocious-alternate meals of duck & a huge lump of lamb are probably not the best choice, let alone the duck was overcooked & served on a bed of beans. There was no waiter service with drinks on arrival at the gala night & trying to get a glass of sparkling wine or a beer was like pulling teeth. Very disappointed and although the rooms were great, the whole experience was let done by what I have described above & I would not choose or recommend this Pullman to colleagues of friends.

We had our conference there last week, and the only comments, are the menu on the night of the Gala, the choices were Gnocchi, then Lamb or duck, the lamb was a bit strong for me, and the duck looked so bare on the plate. I gather my organisation chose the menu, but wanted to let you know that the mustard sauce, did react with my iron gut stomach. Otherwise, the room, the board rooms, ah, the air con, it was boiling in the board room -the Hopetoun and all over, in the rooms, tried to adjust my rooms air con as it was on 22.5 down to 15, and 3 hrs later, didnt change and the night of the Gala, drank a whole jug + of sparkling water. So, I gather there was an aircon issue. But, can I say, love the fixtures and fittings, love the window to the bathroom in the rooms, the bed, great sleep, lovely and clean, really enjoyed my stay, and certainly would return.

Always a pleasure to stay at an Accor Hotel, room was lovely and clean. Only issue was the lack of TV free to air channels. Who wants to watch 5 news channels and 4 kids channels. Why not have at least a Discovery or Nat Geo for some interesting content rather than 2 other channels with very old TV shows. Also in room WiFi was terrible. Kept dropping out, had to re sign in every time it dropped out, so in the end I was unsuccessful in utilising this option and would not cast.

We stayed this hotel for celebration our 8 years anniversary. Staff not really friendly and care. Room way too small. Had dinner at the restaurant and was order steak and steak super dry very disappointed. The good thing is the room was super clean

Hotel is lovely and we appreciated the upgrade but As an Accor platinum member we were dissatisfied! We did not receive a welcome gift even after asking the gentleman at the desk. The executive lounge was not open due to staff shortage and therefore we were offered an alternative room with very noisy footy patrons! Even though you could use the executive lounge the coffee machine did not work and even staff that work there could not operate the machine either! We were looking for lunch on the Saturday and was told by the gentleman we could order food, then the lady behind the bar rudely said no food! 10 minutes later food was served to a family I asked her why did they get food she said they ordered before 2:30 pm! We were there before 2:30 pm !!! We Came down for breakfast gave the lady our room no and the lady waived us in no words spoken I politely said how does breakfast work here! Staff were not polite or welcoming in fact Saturday the bar woman and barman were arguing behind the bar not professional! As a five star property and a loyal platinum member we were dissapointed we feel that everyone uses the excuse “due to Covid” your benefits are now not adhered too!!

The Pullman is now an experience hotel in great position for the MCG as well as the city life. The rooms have been refreshed to be modern & comfortable like any new hotel. The bsr area is buzzing with activity & helpful staff.

Renovated room was very clean and modern, the only issue I found was the placement of the toilet roll, very difficult to access,could have been placed in a more easily accessable position? Overall the stay was enjoyable and the location is easy walking distance to the MCG and the city.

The new rooms look great - but are just so unfunctional. i do not think the CEO or Hotel manager have spent a night n one of the rooms. And there is only free to air TV????? What the! And over $400 / night. There is a mismatch between price and product here.
