« Room ok, pool good, gym inadequate, food horrendous. »

The main concern was the one night we stayed, we decided to have dinner in the restaurant. My partners meal was just ok. I ordered short ribs and they were so over cooked it was like the third attempt of cooking. I could not cut it at all. I was asked if I wanted to choose another meal, and I was hesitant , but was convinced to choose something else and I chose the salmon. It looked very nice, but sadly it was raw inside. This was also returned. I wasn’t charged for our food, but it was an amateurish, disappointing experience.

« A very good choice of hotel and location »

We had only 3 nights at the hotel. but it was all good. The location was ideal, we were able to walk to the Costanera Centre and to the Underground. The room and facilities were good and the breakfast had a some good choices. The hotel was modern and spacious. However, it was the helpfulness of the staff at reception and the friendliness of the bar and breakfast staff. that made our stay as enjoyable as it was. The reception staff made it easier for us non-Spanish speaking guests, by booking our tour to Valparaiso and organizing our taxi to the airport. They also gave us full instructions on how to get to the nearby underground station and where to get off at the historic centre and introduced us to the BIP card which made riding the underground much easier. It is the statff that makes or breaks a hotels reputation.

« Great hotel and location »

Stayed 3 nights. The hotel was an easy walk to the Costanera Centre and to the Underground station. The staff were extremely helpful and made our stay (as non-speaking Spanish guests) more enjoyable by giving up advice and information and generally making our trip in Santiago much easier Room and facilities were good and breakfast had plenty of choices. Recommend the Turistek tour to Valparaiso.

« Nice rooms with a view in a well located area. Breakfast variety was great. Good service »

I enjoyed the breakfast. Most employees provided nice service. LATE FLIGHT - EXTEND CHECK OUT TIME The last day of my stay I spoke, at 11am or so, with a person in the main desk who is a supervisor. I told him that I was part of the Sercotec group and since my flight was late if I could check out at 6:00 pm. His answer was no but that he was going to expand it from 12 until 1pm. I wished he had been more flexible. I went to the lobby to do the check out a few minutes before 1 pm to learn that the hotel had extended our stay until 6 pm. I had to go upstairs and continue working on my computer. I wished I had received a phone call with the new information about being able to do the check out later. This is something that a person who wants guests to receive better service should have done. SMALLER DENOMINATION I also asked the same person running by himself the main desk if he could change a US$100 for smaller denomination US dollars. He grabbed the bill, touched it and then gave me his answer. He did not have enough US dollars to do so. I have the feeling that he have decided not to be of help. Needless to say, the bill was real and the need to have smaller denomination bills was too. Small things like this leave a sour feeling on me. The staff at the bar/restaurant was very responsive and had a smile on them. A younger woman at the bar/restaurant went the extra mile to have a conversation with us and made dinner recommendations.

« Good location and quiet »

The location is slightly out of noisy centre area, but not away. The hotel is new and facilities are well maintained. Luggage keeping service is good but shouldn't lost luggage tag. If you don't have luggage tag, you will be treated seriously. They could just simple questions to confirm your luggage, but questioning and challenging were not good experience. I understand that flip side od this means they keep luggeges very safely.

The Novotel is very well located in the center of Providencia which offers plenty of restaurants and good connection with public transportation. the rooms are very modern and the staff is very efficient. I can't find anything that could have been better, except the room service was serving a club sandwich with french fries covered. Deep Fried stuff must never be covered... the steam will make the fried food nasty....

Stayed 2 weeks working. Room and facilities/amenities are regular compared to other hotels in the same category. breakfast is ok. No further complaints, until check out. Front desk, when asked if membership was recorded, asked if the booking was done through Accor site, in case not, nothing was going to be given, but in a very unpleasant way. If this is the case, I would rather continue with Hilton Honors, Marriott bonvoy, NH and IHG, as I had never had any problem and such rude reply from the front desk, as in your hotel. I am sure I will not choose any other Accor hotel to stay.

« Nice Place to Stay in a good location »

We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. The room was very spacious and included a separate seating area as well as a second bathroom. The main bathroom was very large but we did have some difficulty with water temperature and pressure in the shower occasionally. Also the mattress was a little too firm for our liking but these two items were outweighed by the positives for this property.. The staff were courteous and helpful and the breakfast was extensive and very good. We also enjoyed the pool. Overall it was a great stay.

It's difficult to give a proper description as the situation in Chile meant that the hotel was not running normally - eg restaurant closed early, front entrance boarded up on our arrival. Staff were great though.
