Cant say enough about the staff made my stay really enjoyable through the lock down. these guy are a credit to your organisation. I will defiantly re book this hotel again should i ever be in the Doncaster area. Please pass on my thanks to all the staff great bunch.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a family wedding! I found our stay very pleasant and as I have 3 young children all the staff were very accommodating and helpful. I would like to mention 1 inparticul her name was Claire and she was a cleaner at the time of our stay! She went above and beyond for me and my family and I didnt get a chance to thank her for it! So if she sees this thank you :)

Booking and check-in were fine. The room - 322 - wasn't. Notwithstanding the poor draining of the bathroom sink, the lack of hot water at midnight (after 3 minutes of running) and the inoperative 'shaver' light, the main problem was the noise. Not the other guests I hasten to add, but the lift. Even though this room did not back directly on to the liftshaft, every time the lift was called/used, the noise came through the room meaning sleep was very disjointed. Had the room been offered at a discounted rate with the note 'possible noise' then fair enough. But it wasn't - full price for a poor room and an awful nights sleep. Very unimpressed. If you get offered room 322, refuse it unless they offer at least a 50% discount or free breakfast.

Had a reunion here which went very well. The Saturday night room was well catered for and we were well looked after by your staff. The only downside was when we retired to the upstairs bar. Nobody seemed to be adequately trained to run the bar and as a result the drinks were poorly maintained (flat beer) lack of mixers. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable weekend.

Mostly ok. But noise from outside revellers went on into the early hours, probably 3am. After that I got some sleep but was awoken again at between 5am and 6am when a couple in a neighbouring room began fornicating enthusiastically, her yelping indicated that she was having a great time and I'm pleased she enjoyed her stay in your hotel, but it meant that my night's sleep only lasted around 3 hours. I got out of bed, put the kettle and tv on, shower etc to use the time productively and cover the noise. Earplugs were provided in the room but are too uncomfortable to have in when sleeping. If the noise from outside cannot be helped, I think the noise from fornicating guests in neighbouring rooms is an easy fix - soundproof the walls better and doors too.

I had a lot of issues regarding the food which I took up with the manager and got resolved . The rooms could do with a little TLC as the wardrobe doors in my room are hanging off and I know I have not complained about this but I feel a few little finishing touches regarding TLC would go a long way

Allocated Room 310 on the top floor of the hotel. As it was Valentines Weekend we decided to pay a bit more for a Privilege Room. First impressions were okay with 2 double beds, although this made the room quite cluttered with a free standing wardrobe, chair and dressing table. Fridge contained a can of coke, 2 bottles of water and a small carton of fresh juice and a Nespresso machine was also provided with pods. Decided to have a shower prior to going out for dinner and after messing around with the temperature controls for a bit I finally got to stand under it. Describing it as a rainfall shower was actually doing the rain outside a dis-service as it was more like being stood beneath a watering can. The pressure was pathetic but I persevered and finally managed to get the lather off me. After a good night out in Doncaster we made it back to our room at around 12:30am and, despite being on the 3rd floor of the hotel, found ourselves in the middle of the club downstairs. Or at least it sounded like we were there. We've stayed in this hotel previously and had a room at the front overlooking the taxi rank and that was no problem at all in terms of late night noise. I can normally sleep through anything, especially after a few drinks. An hour later I gave up and went to Reception, not to complain as I know the noise was coming from a different building, but to request a different room with less noise. The only room available for the 2 nights that we were staying was a Standard Room but at least it was facing inwards, which we took and, despite it being almost 2am, packed our things and relocated. Being in a Standard Room deprived us not only of the fridge, drinks and safe but also of air-conditioning and the superior features of a Privilege Room. The windows of the room were frosted, making it claustrophobic and would only open around 10 degrees, although this was sufficient to see the remnants of a rotting pigeon on the roof opposite. The staff were fine throughout our stay but the disturbance caused by the noise below makes it very unlikely that we will choose to stay in this hotel again.

When P. presented himself at reception there was confusion about the booking, which I had booked in my own name and card, resulting with MR Hunnigale leaving and booking into the Premier Inn. I have been billed for that stay and been refused a refund. I am of course dissatisfied with this interaction. Ian B..

Cards on the table - I am an Accor Club Card holder and a fan of their hotels. For business, they are great. This is an exception. I’m always suspicious of hotels that have portable heaters and ear plugs in the rooms - it says welcome to our cold and noisy room. Apparently refurbished in 2014 this is a dour hotel with lots of dark wood and brown carpets - very 1984 rather than 2014, and it is cold. Heating in my first room (320) did not work. They said there were no other rooms and they would send someone up to check. 45 minutes later when I appeared at reception to check out when nobody had come to fix the heating - magically there was another room. 305 ( a Privelege room) was much better, although curiously no bedside or desk lamps. Bathroom was nice - perhaps this is the bit they refurbished in 2014. Nice tiling, however, does not compensate for a dribble of an overhead shower, and the handheld shower head missing. As ever with Accor hotels, the food in the restaurant was good, and I loved the humour of Oli the French waiter who waxed lyrical about the sea and mountain views from the windows!! AKA a KFC! I love Ibis and Novatels but not sure what MERCURE brand stands for. On this experience, tired old hotels that we have done our best with. Overall lesson from this stay - should have read other people’s reviews before I booked! This not a bad hotel, but you could do much better. Friendly staff and good Wifi are its best points. Would not like to be there when there is a wedding on, so weekends are probably best avoided

Hotel room clean and tidy,could done with extra blanket for bed as it was cold in night and the extractor too noisy overall would be good but noise from other guests down the landing I was on 3rd floor made sleeping near impossible,I told reception in morning of lack of sleep they said should have informed night staff but didn't know exactly where noise coming from thought it may be thin walls told it wouldn't been that and other people complained too about noise in early hours,I would still come back as ideal location if I was staying over in Doncaster again

We were allocated room 302, must be the worst room in the hotel, no heating, no room to get out of bed, hole in the floor covered by carpet. Stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years, but this will probably be the last.

We were welcomed at check in, rooms were clean. We used the bar, the selection of drinks were perfectly adequate. Good location. I'm used to 'living out of hotel rooms' and this suited my needs.
