We felt very well looked after. We did have issues with the aircon and were moved to another room where the chromecast was not working but the two staff members on that night and the following night made this experience very smooth for us and were extremely helpful and friendly. They also continued to check on my partner while I was out as he was recovering from surgery. The room was very spacious and comfortable and I found the technology in this building more advanced than most hotels I've stayed in and I've stayed in hotels like the Grand Hyatt and Crown where you expect those to be. Location was fantastic and was very happy they had parking. OH and the cleaning staff were so helpful and super friendly!!

I travel alot and frequently stay at hotels. The hotel was great, services great etc but the difference with this place was the people. Always helpful, always joyful to be around and always wanting to make sure your stay is comfortable. Special thanks to Evie at Reception, lovely lady and will be coming back here from now on. When we arrived to check in it was extremely busy with guests arriving. The staff were friendly, efficient and well trained. They had all of our details and check in was quick. The room was clean and the design makes efficient use of the space. Lovely decor and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Melbourne, close to shopping and all of the wonderful laneways. We look forward to our return in the not too distant future if Covid allows.

We have stayed here a few times now. Obviously under the circumstances Hotel is running with minimal staff which made the whole experience quite different to our previous stays. Having to park our own car, driving up the lift etc., no one to greet us at the car, reception staff kept busy, welcome drink sitting at the welcome desk etc. But we understand the circumstances. The few staff that were there were very helpful and friendly.

We chose this hotel for its location, but was pleasantly surprised with all the other things it offered. Parking was super close, and the girl on reception was very sweet and helpful, as was the gentleman on the phone when I rang to enquire about parking. Rooms were very clean, and check in and out was very quick and easy. Will definitely stay again.

Everything is clean and tidy. It was difficult to go to ground floor because of COVID 2 people per elevator rule and elevators go to highest floor first (from ground) before going down and reaching our floor, with 2 people already inside from above floors. The biggest negative is unable to chromecast certain things such as web browser on laptop, or video/pictures from phone because of firewall rules.

A lovely, new well located hotel. Some highlights and lowlights from our overnight stay. Highlights were the dinner and the room layout, view and comfortable bed. I called ahead to enquire about parking and was told this was available as a self-park option. I advised I would like to take up this option and was asked to ring the bell on arrival. We arrived at 4pm to be told by a rather flustered and not very friendly woman at reception that the parking was full and we would have to park in one of the public car parks a block away. This wasn’t too big a deal but the message could have been delivered with a bit more understanding. We were then checked in by another woman who was much more friendly. Our room was nice, but small. We had a great view of the city. We ate in the on-site restaurant Pretty Boy and the food was absolutely outstanding. Due to COVID space restrictions, there were only a few people able to be seated and menu options were limited to a $75 per head 5 course option or an a la carte steak for $95. The room temperature was around 23 degrees and too hot for sleeping, so after following the instructions and being unable to reduce the temperature, I tried to call guest services. After each call, I was diverted to a voicemail message so I gave up after 3 times, and we had a rather restless night. Breakfast was good. I understand that everyone is doing their best to adjust to our new COVID normal, but as described, there were a number of issues that meant this stay wasn’t as great as it could have been. I’m not sure I would stay again and as an IHG Platinum Elite member, I think I will stay with IHG hotels.

Great location, very affordable price and good room... I have very little to complain about. The only reason i havent given it a higher score is because i find the bathroom layout a little strange (although know this is now standard in many new novotels.. i just think its not very private). And the room had zero glasses in it. All we had to drink from were 2 coffee mugs.

I have worked for many major companies (WMC, Rio Tinto, BHP, IBM, NBN, etc, and stay at a lot of hotels in my years. As a private visiter last weekend, my partner and I enjoyed our experience immensely. From booking into the hotel, to car parking (Brian was outstanding), Dinner and breakfast. All the people were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Your staff even exited the lift so we could get to our room faster, when coming from the restaurant on Saturday night. The room was clean and immaculate, view unbelievable. Thank you for putting us at the 35th floor. It's the little things also, we will remember, like a remote that was clean and worked. My partner kept telling me we should update our TV at home due to the crystal clear definition of yours (thanks for that :) Breakfast was fully enjoyable, easy, and relaxing. Dinner service was personal, professional and informative. Please, compliments to the Chef. Thank you and your team once again for a wonderful experience. We are planning our next trip to melbourne and will now only stay at one hotel. Had another great stay at Novotel Melbourne Central, great staff, good service. Only problem this time was no milk for tea or coffee, don't agree with less tea and coffee due to covid and touching rules. No Green teas also, maybe this is cost cutting, not sure.
