This hotel is well located in the heart of Melbourne unfortunately the on-site parking was not available and we had to park some distance away at another car park supplied by the hotel The buffet was great with good choices...the room was very nicely appointed with a great comfortable bed and reasonably new fittings We tried the happy hour one nite only to be disappointed with the very limited choices on offer Overall we would stay again

I was a little lost not finding the reception on the ground level, but the kind concierge was most welcoming and explain where we needed to go to check in. From that moment, every moment was exceptional. We arrived slightly early, yet were allowed to enter our room. We were treated by a kind lady who gave us water and chocolates along with a personal welcoming note. The rooms were spotless, organised and fresh. The bathrooms clean and stocked with all them essentials. The front desk, accomodating and clear. Location was primary to our needs, and we loved it. I’ve travel to a lot of Accor hotel, and this was up with one of the best.

I was disappointed that there were no wine glasses in the room and sent a message about this and to this day have received no comment or feedback.

Very well located - This time the service was not up to Accor Standard

When I arrived by car to the car park area there was a sign to wait which I did for over 5 min. Then I'm told car parking is full and to go around the corner. That fine but why did anyone not call me beforehand to inform me. I found this time around staff were not as warm and friendly as usual. It was a very cold atmosphere. The night I checked in I went to the restaurant for dinner to find it was closed this evening. Again why was I not informed. During check in I requested a late check out which was granted til 1pm - Thank you. at 12:40 I went to my room to collect my items and check out to find my key does not work. I went to reception waited my turn for around 15 min to receive another card then went to my room to find it dod not work. Then I had to go back down again only to be told by the other person at reception that my check out time was 1pm. That was most annoying. I eventually got in my room and then checked out. The next evening at 11:30 pm I called the hotel to ask for my tax Invoice which I usually receive within 30 min of checking out of any hotel. The gentleman informed me it has nit been preceded as yet as the day staff were busy and he will do it. The next morning I was yet to receive it. Around 11 am I called the hotel again (This precess took me around 1 hour as nobody answered the phone and i was constantly trying to call. Eventually I got onto a lady at reception and sent me the invoice whilst I was on the phone with her. Not sure if you all know when you call the hotel they have a covid safe message which goes on for a few minutes before anything - This is most frustrating when you are trying to constantly call. Not sure whey you are trying to advertise so much for covid safe if your level of hotel is not safe then we all have a problem. How about you focus on good service. On the covid issue.... I was surprised that breakfast was a buffet style. Is that safe ? Thats it for now Basically Not happy at all.

We had such a wonderful stay at Novotel Melbourne Central. Upon arrival to our room, a bottle of sparkling and local chocolates waited for us for my partners birthday. The room we booked was spacious and had everything needed for a city getaway.

The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pillows were not comfortable at all, so I didn't sleep too well. Parking is not convenient but that is city life. The shower was amazing. I have read previous reviews and quite a few people complained about the shower, so I was very happy to find the water hot. The food at the restaurant was amazing. Overall a wonderful night away with hubby.

Not the best we have experienced, we arrived at 2:10 pm, booking in queue was long, when we got to the front of the line at 2: 20 pm we were told that our room was not yet available, we were given our free drink voucher to wait in the bar and have a drink - no one was manning the bar so that failed. we were allocated a different room at 3 pm after stating to the duty manager that we had an appointment to go too.

The room was immaculate, modern and with a great view. We were only staying one night so didn't need to access any extra facilities such as gym, pool etc. The room was well designed, acoustics was good (neighbour was having an argument which we could overhear in the foyer when we arrive back at the room door). This was also the best price for us in the city for what we needed, and we were more than happy to save on parking costs by parking at Queen Street Secure parking and walked to the hotel. We didn't need a valet so this was a good option for us. Only glitches were that one of the bedside lamps didn't work. Thank you for having us and we would consider staying again in the future.

Perfect position, a 10 min walk to spencer street bus station if you catch the sky bus. Short walk to queen vic markets and a short walk to the duty centre. The cafe on ground floor has great coffee and really nice food. Floyds bar is a great stop for a wine and light eats. The rooms are lovely, good size rooms with a very comfortable bed. The best thing about the stay? The lovely staff in all areas! Cleaning staff, bar staff and the reception staff! We loved our stay and will be back
