This cozy boutique hotel is my first choice in Gangnam. Julie Kim GM and Winston Park front desk manager are always available for any services. Brunch is delicious. Only missing service is breakfast due to coronavirus. Highly recommend this hotel for value seekers.

Lovely balcony, but no breakfast

I stayed at a room with balcony. it has some forest view with two sunbeds, it was lovely. but they didn't serve breakfast without any notice prior to checkin. they could serve some meal boxes or else, but nothing was there. Also, there was no coffee capsule reloaded, so I had to call the frontdesk for it. Nonetheless, the room design was fancy enough to make me want to visit again.

I walked in late late night but one lady helped check in promptly and nicely. But room in really tiny but everything clean and tidy.

The location and service was great. However the amenities at the hotel can be improved. Restaurants and cafe were not open Sunday and Monday, and rooftop lounge was closed during winter. I hope these information was more clear on the hotel website. The amenities in the room were a little lacking. Also with the bed, it was said to be a King bed, but the bed size was obviously not a King, and barely a Queen. Although this should be the largest bed size in the hotel, it’s a little disappointing the bed was not as described.

We booked two rooms for a 2 night stay over New Years. We had a king terrace and petite twin. Both rooms were beautifully appointed with quality furnishings and fixtures. The petite room really is very small but was adequate for our two children. Whilst the rooms were lovely there were a few things that we felt really let us down. Firstly, the main reason we chose this hotel was for the roof top bar. As we were staying on New Years Eve we wanted somewhere to go for a drink for two to see in the New Year. The Krug bar at the Crescendo seemed like a perfect option as it meant we could safely leave the children in their hotel room while went went upstairs. It turns out the bar is closed for renovation. I can’t find any reference to this on the website so this was a huge disappointment for us. We ended up borrowing two glasses from the restaurant and drinking a bottle of wine in our room on New Year’s Eve. Secondly, both the cafe and restaurant were closed on New Year’s Day. There aren’t many other places near the hotel (unless you want to eat at McDonald’s) so we missed out on breakfast entirely. Finally, neither room had an iron or ironing board. Although we didn’t need to use one during our stay I would have expected a hotel of this caliber to have these standard items. Additionally, the petite room had no tea or coffee facilities at all and the King room, although it had a jug and a Nespresso machine it only had paper cups and no coffee capsules or tea and coffee! I rang housekeeping on the first day and they brought us one capsule! On the second day I had to call again to get more capsules because they had only given us one capsule this time! Surely it’s reasonable to expect adequate supplies like this and also to have proper cups and glassware to drink from rather than paper cups. Overall, the Crescendo is a beautiful hotel and the huge terraces are a bonus for an inner city hotel and would be wonderful in summer, however there are a few things that could have been improved upon to ensure a more enjoyable stay.

Wonderful beds and perhaps the best bathrobe I have experienced ! The rooms are small but perfect for solo travelling , great pricing as well. I enjoyed my stay though room temperature at night was too hot ! The thermostat control was being overridden by something else and kept getting hot waking me up at 4 am.

The American style design is very impressive and refreshing compare with those traditional hotels. The restaurant is adorable and the food is so tasty. Travelling Korea eat too much korean cuisine, the green salad table and Croissant from the hotel breakfast is a good start. Room is lovely and the sense of vintage design is my favourite. If you are lack of direction, you would get loss from the metro exit tho........
