Terrible experience. Heating was not working and there was a small heating radiator which didn't do much. Shower was awful. Hot water took forever to come out. Water pressure really really weak. No hot water from the sink. Room was old, with damaged areas. Paid £130 which is not cheap. Avoid.

I booked into this hotel on a business trip. Check in was easy and was in room 147. Started go work in the room and was cold. The window would not close. 2 people attended and they had to screw it closed. Then the safe would not work which was then fixed. I did ask if I could move room. And was told no rooms were available in though their own website showed 7 doubles and 1 King available. Put the heating on, however no hot air blew out, and was cold Bed uncomfortable, and not great having to sleep in a single bed which I've not had go do in years. Room had not been cleaned properly, dust and cup marks were on side table. Bathroom was dated, with hairs in the bath Asked for poached eggs for breakfast, and couldn't eat them as they were over cooked, yolk was hard. Looks great on the outside until you get to room. Would have had a better night's sleep in the Premier Inn.

On the 22nd of November, I have returned from work and have been greeted with a great smile by the Marvellous Michelle. Following a warm welcome from Michelle, I was introduced to the General Manager who’s reception was less than acceptable. After praising Michelle and explaining how great she has been for the last week, he proceeded to say, in third person, as though Michelle was not present, “she’s only been good for 2 weeks”. This type of behaviour is unacceptable and extremely demeaning. To speak about employees in such a manner in front of guests I believe is terrible management. For this reason, it is understandable that there has been understaffing, I personally felt uncomfortable with the General Manager’s words and mannerisms, and despite this, Michelle maintained a welcoming and warm attitude. The General Manager did not once interact with guests, yet all week Michelle and the great staff on bar have continued to keep a good welcoming atmosphere and have helped with all queries. Definitely not happy with the presence of the General Manager Steven.

I can assure you there was no offence meant towards Michelle and was in jest based on the interaction from yourselves as a group towards Michelle and myself at the time. I also remember confirming my appreciate for Michelle and her customer service skills. I appreciate each and everyone of my staff and all they do for the company and our guests. All staff are rewarded for their excellent service skills and I am the first to recognise this. As a team we enjoy working together and laughter in the workplace is a great thing. I am sorry for any confusion and that it impacted your stay, I can assure you I have spoken with Michelle and no offence was taken. Just like to compliment the staff on reception especially Michele and Sara they are always ready with a welcoming smile and nothing is too much trouble for them. Michele has made my stay so enjoyable and I loved seeing her face everyday! Sara is so kind also
