« Short stay Christmas market »

As usual this is a fantastic place to stay The staff csnt do enough to help you it's such a welcoming place to stay. The hotel is virtually on the pier head and therefore very close to the docks and shopping centre, just beware the wind bites when its blowing up the mersey as you leave the hotel. Will be back I'm not a city person but liverpool is a fantastic place to visit when staying at the mercure Atlantic towers

I’m sure if you did your homework you soon realise I never stayed due to an unexpected operation, yet I keep getting emails thanking me for my stay! This doesn’t fill me with confidence that you take any notice of your guests!

« Poor value »

Stayed Friday to Sunday. Noisy both nights around 3/4 am when the partygoers roll in. Could hear people chatting in next room even at modest volumes. Some minor issues with room - no shelving in the wardrobe, Show fitting hanging off in the bathroom. Only 2 teabags and no biscuits - that's taking the biscuit at £180/night!. Receptionist told us about the great view on arrival and to be fair we were looking out onto the Liver building but unfortunately it was half obscured by condensation in the double glazing. Bar expensive. Breakfast was good as is the view from the restaurant. Hotel location is excellent - short walk to all the attractions. Overall disappointed

The room was to damp. The carpet felt moist and the window was wet. It smelled damp in the hallway on floor 11. Good service, good location, good breakfast

« Food was terrible and the room smelt of cigarette »

The food served for breakfast, lunch and dinner was appalling. By the second day I couldn’t eat anything due to the food being not fresh, had no flavour and some food inedible. The room was pleasant however smelt awful. All in all It wasn’t a great experience and I wouldn’t recommend to others.

Wonderful views from our room. All staff friendly, professional and efficient. Very convenient location for all we wished to see and do in Liverpool Only minor issues: Found lighting in the room very dim. ( someone with a sight defect could really struggle) Also, the bath towels were a little small

« Hotel brilliant sleeping not so good »

Having this two night stay for my 50th birthday off colleagues from work I was really looking forward to my stay . We stayed in room 522 privilege we had everything we needed. On our first night we was woken at 2.00am by occupants in room 523 with loud shouting ,banging , laughing which they finally went quiet at 2.45am. The next night at 12.00pm approx with was woken again by loud singing of when the saints come marching in and laughing. By now I had enough and went to reception to see if we could have another room so we could get some sleep we was dealt with by a very polite man who sorted another room for us room 601. So in the middle of the night we had to gather all our belongings together and we moved rooms. Having two nights without proper sleep this ruined my experience.

« Great location, tired hotel. »

The welcome and the service given were very good. However, considering the rate charged, the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. More thought too needs to be given on the breakfast buffet experience which involves a tight bottleneck, all to ensure the window view.

« Nice hotel but a bit expensive for service received »

The room was spacious and clean. Information on parking was poor before arrival especially for blue badge holders. Choice at breakfast poor in comparison to similar hotels e.g. no choice of different tea bags. Poor continental choice. Housekeeping did not clear away room service crockery nor supply new tea cups nor replenish tea bags and coffee.

« Disorganised, forgot breakfast »

The first night when I arrived in the room it was freezing cold (in winter) as the heating had been set to icy air-conditioning rather than heating - I put the temperature up but it did no good as the settings needed to be completely changed which staff did the following day. I was leaving early on the last morning and paid for breakfast which I was told would be waiting at reception for me. I gave my order the evening before and told reception I was going to bed. Despite this the kitchen rang me at 10:30pm, waking me up to reconfirm the order. Then when I checked out at 3am I was told they had forgotten to do the breakfast anyway, so I left at 3am to work a 15hour day without breakfast despite having paid for it. They were also unable to print me an invoice, and eventually I had to leave without one. Also there was an internal doorway to another room within my room which meant that any sounds from the room next door were clearly audible also disturbing my sleep. Every time they put their light on this also shone under the internal doorframe. Disorganised and poor.
