Booked for 1 night stay with a Treatment each for me and my fiance Had booked the room with a bottle of prosecco on arrival which wasnt in the room which i understand can a simple mistake that someone forgot but i go to reception to ask about it and then have to wait nearly 3 hours for someone bring up to the room. Also on arrival no information about meal times or where to go or anything, in the room there is no information also 🤷🏼‍♂️ So again went to reception to ask about dinner and breakfast and got told to speak to the restaurant so stood in there for 10 mins shouting “hello” where one guy came out a door and looked at me and left again. Eventually the man from front check in desk came in and gave me a leaflet. Either the people working there are clueless or couldn't be bothered as the hotel was like a ghost town. Then about 10am in the morning someones banging on the door and says “oh sorry i was told the room was empty” Definitely would not recommend

Power cuts happen, but as a hotel you should have a back up plan, this was in the form of a generator. sounds good, but it only provided power to the reception area and the restaurant lights. therefore rooms are pitch black and freezing cold, and no food available bar sandwiches? basically disappointing, i frankly dont quite understand how this is ok H&S wise, it must be an issue if there is no lighting in the rooms? one of the worse night sleeps i have had mainly due to the cold. I found a convection heater in a cupboard in the room on departure, maybe that could been explained at check in, although with no power until very late in the evening, circa 2230hrs, not sure it would have helped.

Reception quick and efficient : room very clean and modern: swimming pool above the standard expected it was good enough for a hotel twice the price::: would definitely stay again.

Poor customer service, run down bedrooms (missing bathroom tiles, peeling wallpaper, stained walls).

Poor. Rude receptionist clearly didn’t want to be doing check ins. No lifts in hotel and this wasn’t advised at booking stage, making it very difficult to get to and from room. Lunch menu had been crossed out with pen and a couple of items scribbled on the side consisting of a couple of sandwiches or soup. Very unprofessional hand scribbled menu and extremely poor for a hotel. Room was extremely dated and run down. Overall poor experience and made a 3 night stay very unpleasant.
