Welcoming staff. Covid measures well thought through but hand sanitisers we’re nit operational due to wrong batteries. Reduced menu was disappointing but understood due to current circumstances

Overall, it was a good experience. Location's calm and peaceful. All three Spa employees who did our slot between 16:15 and 17:00 were very sweet. Had a nice conversation with one of them, who gave me hot stone massage and did my pedicure. She was very helpful and gave me information about different places we could visit near the hotel. Swimming pool seemed clean. However, the receptionist lady who was working on the 18th and 19th of September was not very helpful. I asked her about a place in Warwick, which she had no idea about, which is fine, but she seemed quite unapproachable. She didn't make any suggestions and it looked like she wanted to end the conversation as soon as possible. Food was ok. Limited options, but the dessert was very nice.

We have just returned from spending 4 days and three nights at Walton Hall. What a lovely time, considering all the negative comments that preceded this. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, the food be it limited, (Obviously due to covid, the lack of customers and also cooking it fresh, so they didn't waste anything) catered for all palettes, and I thoroughly enjoyed three varied evening meals while there. Staff were aware of social distancing and masks were in place all through our meals, tables were set the required 6metre away from each other. Breakfast was continental and then a choice of Full English, again understandably brought to the table to stop customers mixing. They were possibly catering for 40 couples, at the most and were staggering the rooms they were using from what I could see. The Hall itself was actually closed, obviously pointless opening the full Hall & Hotel with limited customers, but it was lovely to look around the outside. We had a room in the Coach House, and yes it probably could of done with a coat of paint, but it was very very spacious and again with being closed for several months during the lockdown, who in their right mind will pay staff, when there is no-one there. No chambermaids coming into the room while you were out, as obviously they did not want to touch anything, although it was all very clean when we went in. You could get extra tea, coffee, toilet rolls etc from reception. The spa and pool were open, but very quiet, and the grounds had still been kept trim and neat. It was lovely to be able to walk around the splendid grounds, the only negative was the price of the drinks unfortunately

This is a gorgeous hotel in amazing surroundings. We stayed here for our first anniversary and were very lucky to be upgraded to a beautiful room in the Manor House! The grounds are lovely for a walk around and the atmosphere felt both relaxed yet the staff were always available to assist.

Absolutely stunning grounds with endless walks and beautiful nature to see. We were very lucky with the weather that we were able to explore. The venue itself was nice and the limited food menu had what you needed. Friendly, helpful staff too

Hotel could do with a bit of an upgrade, however the staff were excellent. The Privilege Room we stayed in did not have the promised bathrobe and slippers, neither did we receive the complimentary newspapers as advertised. The shower was very poor but all in all, we are not complainers and made the most of the excellent grounds and facilities. We would return

The most striking thing about the visit was the professionalism of the staff. There are obvious service limitations due to Covid-19; rooms are not automatically cleaned every day unless requested, and the restaurant menus are a bit limited. But staff are extremely helpful and seemed to be making every effort to make our stay enjoyable. If we need things for our room the response was swift, and service in the restaurant came with genuine politeness and good humour.

Two nights of very comfortable stay with a good English breakfast each morning with the only down side being a somewhat limited diner menu. Very pleasant terrace for a pre-diner drink and to enjoy the evening sun.

We were dubious about staying here after reading recent rather poor reviews. Our experience however was very different. The hotel staff were excellent, the rooms clean and everything worked well. Provision of a ‘fridge and espresso machine were an added bonus. The extensive gardens and grounds allowed for pleasant walks eg around the lake, and the secluded position without too much light pollution enables star gazing.

Overall or stay was enjoyable, however a simple message at the reception or in the room telling guests that during Covid times the rooms will not be serviced. We only discovered this on returning to our room after a long day out, we were advised we would have to collect items required from reception. Also the staffing is very sparse, on 3 occasions I visited the bar and found no one in attendance and had to wait until the barman could be located, the staff seem to be doing multiple jobs leaving customers hanging around.

The spa was a excellent experience and the room was nice and clean but the food was disappointing, the menu was not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. The grounds were lovely and are good for walking.

We are pleased to be open now after lock down and the limited menu available is designed to provide popular food that pleases the majority. I am sorry this was not what you expected of the Oranges and Lemons Bar and Restaurant however i am pleased to read that you found the rest of your experience to be agreeable. We stayed for my partner's birthday with two rooms booked for us and our friends. We have visited the hotel before so we loved the location, the SPA facilities and the rooms, and it is not a surprise that we visited again. However, the reason this hotel is highly preferable by us is simply the AMAZING STAFF! On check-in, a lovely blond girl with glasses took care of us, unfortunately I did not get her name. We enjoyed the Restaurant and Bar facilities, where Christina, Nicki and the rest of the staff looked after us during breakfast and dinner. I did not get the name of the other lady that highly impressed us but she was tall with dark hair and she was working in the night at the Restaurant area and then in the Housekeeping department in the morning. Everyone made impression of how hard-working they are and I truly hope that the Accor group is looking after their staff the way they deserve! We did not really feel the pandemic atmosphere and we had no doubts that everything is professionally cleaned in the public areas, bar and restaurant or in the rooms. The only negative point I can mention is the fact that I called the Hotel SPA department few days prior of arrival and I was told we do not need to book for the pool, and obviously when we arrived on Saturday, we barely made a booking for the last slot of the day, even though I went to ask straight after check-in. I can only guess how many people did not get the chance to enjoy the pool. I believe this miscommunication between the departments can be fixed.

Staff were lovely. Did a good job under the current circumstances (covid). Great location and great place to stay. Would recommend to friends and family. Food great.

Passable, though questionable hygiene issues as Hand sanitiser station at reception and coffee/ tea area not working a problem they had for a few days.

Sold through Secret escapes as Grand Warwickshire hotel. Disappointing to find a lodge with access to the grounds of the Grand Hotel which was closed. Dinner options very disappointing choice. Breakfast ok though no choice just handed plates of food not required. What a waste, Staff worked very hard though some differential as to the wearing of masks. Some did and others did not. Room spacious seemed cleanish though balcony dirty. If I returned, would be to savour the Grand Hotel Experience, not sure, Classic example of you get what you pay for. Other hotels in area offer Grander options.
