The airport pickup was not well organised, it needs to be faster as passengers would be already tired by then. Breakfast doesn't come on time. This has happened in the two times l have stayed at Ibis. Eventually l could not take the breakfast fully and comfortably having run out of time, along with other passengers.

The services are fantastic but your rooms need overhauling because once I took my bath the water from the bathroom comes into the room from the floor. so my suggestion is to fix your bathrooms, especially on the fourth floor. water is soaking into the concrete and damaging your amazing structure. A stitch in time saves nine.

The Covid pandemic could not really allow everyone to enjoy the stay 100%,so the services were at the best level that could be accepted by everyone who understood the situation.

Good stay in the hotel with friendly personnel and good food. The only shortcoming was the long waiting times. Also, no mention was made to adhering members of Accor club. Don't know if the points can be accounted to my account number (3…8113)

This question doesn't add value because you won't shift the building

I didn't enjoy the hotel and informed my colleuge to consider hotel number one where others went and said it was better. Firstly, the idea of take food was good, but 1 small drink and only 2 small bottles of water in the room was a thumbs down. Water got finished and the person who served breakfast promised to bring but never returned. The bedsheets felt like second hand. They are not white nor smooth. The towels are nolonger white. The lift is too tiny can acomodate only 2 people yet we are foreigners with no local lines, what if it fails? How do we make an alert? Too small even oxygen can get used up. UN staff are not allowed to sleep on floor one and anything above 5, you have us floor mine and keys were not opening the first time we went up so we came back yet we are very tired. Secondly, at checkout, the receptionist handed over my balance from previous day cash payment but of extremely old more over written on USD notes. You need to know that other than in the US, no country accepts old written on USD notes. Why do you accept such from customers? To disgracefully pass on to others. I rejected them and it took a while to sort. Finally, and worst. A man with a ladder came to paint a line on the ceiling above the receiptionists. Goodness, the area is small. The chemical smells. While can't you do such repairs at night? Someone could have fainted in that space. Overall, I will never return to ibis Accra and informed firiends already. It was a mess.

I have stayed only for a night on my way from Addis Ababa to Abuja. The room was fine. Only two little complaints: 1) Cold water pressure was quite low; 2) My dinner was not dropped off in my room, so when I returned to my room in the evening and realized that dinner was not there, I had to return to the restaurant bar to pick it up.

I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. We have well noted your complaints. I will communicate your bath experience with the maintenance team. Concerning the room service, due to the pandemic we don't enter in the guest's room during the stay. The team should have better followed up your order. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one. Poor client service, poor room maintenance, ambiguous cleaning

I am working for the UN and this was not my first experience with Ibis Styles in Accra. This time I was travelling with my family on the last leg of a long journey during the pandemic trying to return to Dakar and the WFP itinerary has taken me to Ibis again. I have made reservations beforehand, asking for a superior room, thinking to ensure my family -wife and 4 years old child with a little comfort after an already 4 days long trip. At that time I had communicated the method of payment as well as the serious allergy of my wife to onion and onion products. Upon arrival I was shocked to see that there was no care for social distancing, no itinerary/circuit tu ensure social distancing while the Ibis has the great deal of being the only hotel designated for transit in Ghana during the pandemic. All the clients were stuffed in several busses and their luggage loaded in separate buses when all the situation could have been very well solved by loading the passengers with their luggage and instead of organising a convoy of buses for the 3 minutes trip buses could have arrived one by one and the entire havoc would be easily avoided. At arrival some of the over 30 persons were running after their luggage, others were climbing stairs to have their temperature checked, again the lady whacking the temperature could have been placed on the circuit, after the entrance so that the clients would not run back and forth. Then an ambiguous line was established with no one to see if there are clients that may already have reservations. In the same time hotel staff was running around presenting the lunch offer to clients so e of which had already registered some not. Social distancing was not possible because whatever space we were trying to keep between us and the group in front was immediately occupied by other person's. No hotel staff tried to organise the clients, and on the floor there were 4 spots only in front of the reception. It was only after my wife has started taking photographs of the mob that has formed before the reception that a lady thought that maybe we should be given some attention and was invited to sit down in the midst of the mob because the actual line was among the usual armchairs and sofas from the lobby. We have refused to sit down and seeing that the reception was asking us to confirm the method of payment we have also asked for the confirmation of receiving our allergy related information. We were told that the credit card is for information only and that the individual messages like the allergy related information upon reservation does not arrive at Ibis but stays on the Accor servers. Seeing this we have announced we refuse lunch but we shall order dinner. We are working and living in Africa since 2015 and we understand humidity and heat, but the room was stinking at moss, the windows were dirty that you could barely see. The AC vent was leaving dripping marks on the wall and the bathroom door was bloated to the level of not being possible to close it. It was room 716. The lighting was so poor as to be ambiguous, no central lamps only some side ceiling spots that always left the room in twilight. For a night we thought it is bearable. I will not comment on the sheets on the bed, the humidity sometimes does this to the best ironed fabrics. At 15:30 we have ordered our dinner, after having to dear h on the internet to find the hotel phone, then calling the hotel on an external line to obtain the internal number of the restaurant. Then we had to argue again with the restaurant about the onion allergy "so you do not like onion- no lady, onion is poison for us" and we have tried to guess whatever was edible and have ordered that, so e fries for the child and 4 beers for the adults. This was because of my visiting Ghana previously and talking to my wife about their beer. The reception made sure to charge my card with 50 dollars extra so that we may order the beers. At 17:30 I called again the restaurant about our order and was told that dinner starts only at 18:00. No thinking about the beers. At 17:45 we have called back and cancelled our order asking to speak to a manager. After a few minutes spent with the team leader of the restaurant we have convinced him that we no longer want our order and that we need to speak to the manager since as it is the Ibis Styles hotel cannot serve as the main hub for WFP passengers transiting Ghana. The next morning, although the hour of our departure had been announced one day ahead the breakfast was not ready. But Ibis has reimbursed the entire amount deducted from my card. As if staying one day with food from our reserves can be covered by a reimbursement. It is true that this next day there was hotel staff organising the clients, the furniture was removed, the buses were correctly loaded with the travelling passengers luggage and so on, as discussed with the manager one night before. But I still think that as a client of ACCOR I was supposed to enjoy my stay and not to coach the local staff while going to bed with no food. I plan to send a similar description to the WFP colleagues since the issue of protection against the virus is serious. The fact that the clients are forced to chose your hotel should increase your responsibility not the other way around.

Below average service

Customer review rating 4.1/5

Riffcko Business - 19/07/2020 Confirmed reviews ALL

The standard of the hotel is below average, the service was lacking. First encounter was the receptionist, they were not friendly. The room was not cleaned properly and was the pillows were mission pillowcases. The biggest NO NO is that they forgot to make the wake-up call I ordered. You can’t call receptionist nor room service (no body picks up and if they do they won’t come). Next day majority of the people didn’t receive their breakfast and had to leave the hotel without any breakfast.

Stay in Ibis hotel foir quarantine people

Customer review rating 4.1/5

Km Solo - 19/07/2020 Confirmed reviews ALL

Generally the service is good. However, there are a few areas for improvement: 1. The sheets are too old and have lost their whiteness. They need to be renewed. You have to buy more new sheets 2. The towels are also old and some are even torn. They should also be renewed. 3. For those in transit and quarantine as is my case, different meals are served in the room at fixed hours even when one is not yet hungry to eat. So when you eat them, they're cold. In my opinion, it is better to give each guest the flexibility to call the meal service at the time of their choice to eat them hot. 4. Breakfast is served too early: 6:30 a.m. It's really too early for those who don't travel that same day. 5. The hotel requires payment before being installed in a room even if they are told that you will pay before leaving, the client may have to wait for a transfer to its account. You have to learn to trust customers because the unexpected can also happen. Thanks 6. Before leaving the hotel, I asked for help at the front desk for my luggage. I was told that I had to carry them myself one by one because all the employees were busy.

HORRENDOUS IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE

TripAdvisor rating 4.0/5

GERBOY1 Business - 11/07/2020 TripAdvisor review

HORRENDOUS is the only way to describe the stay here. Firstly it was supposed to be used as a quarantine hotel but as there was dozens of guests coming and going every single day most of which did not wear masks i believe the IBIS was selling this to company's under false presence. Almost every staff member was excruciatingly difficult to deal with and it seemed the opposite to the usual mantra of good service " NOTHING IS TO MUCH TROUBLE" but instead anything from minor requests to asking why your disgusting meal was 2 hours late to can i have a towel was treated with absolute rudeness and disdain. Back to the food, you would not feed the food to a pack of stray dogs the choice limited to 2 per meal came anywhere between a 4 hour time slot and was never even remotely warm we had to spend a lot of money on takeaways just to eat decent food. Having stayed there for 4 weeks i think this review is based on a lot of experience and having colleges staying at another hotel who where treated to amazing service and food the IBIS could not hide behind the current state of the world due to COVID. In summary they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and i'm sure if head office was to understand just how poor an operation they are running massive questions would be asked.
