« It is a nice hotel with super nice staff, but with minor shortfalls »

The location is quite nosy, so with jet lag it was a challenge to sleep. and the coffee machine in the room didn't work. But the staff was very, very nice and helpful.

« Fine hotel, weird bathroom »

Hotel is OK, large rooms and friendly staff. In the bathroom there is a airvent that directly connects to the bathroom of the room next door. So you can look inside that bathroom, and hear everything as it is just separated by a airvent. The most rediculous thing i have ever seen in a hotel

« Nice hotel, with room for improvement. »

Nice and modern hotel. I would suggest reviewing the "green policy": the hotel gives you only one small hand towel, one small hand soap and a small shampoo. After three days, you run out of it. However, they change the bed sheets everyday... which is not necessary. It would be great if breakfast could be until 10am everyday, not only on weekend. Also, some receptionists do not say hello, nor lift their head from the computer... it would be nice if those receptionists could be a bit nicer.

This is a nice hotel with a relaxed atmosphere very well positioned for the heart of the Chapinero district and the numerous good restaurants of Zona G. The breakfast is good with attentive service. The rooms are modern, very comfortable and with interesting décor. Altogether an enjoyable place to stay.

« Overall satisfied, but horrible 'exercise room' »

I was pleased with hotel staff. Very professional and friendly. Good breakfast. But I was terribly dissappointed in the 'exercise room'. I booked the Murcure partly because it said it had a gym; but when I arrived and saw it only had 3 old, low-quality machines (treadline, bike, elyptical machine) I almost left the hotel. You should stop advertising the exercise room. It's a lie. You don't have a bench. No weights. There isn't even enough room to properly stretch. It's a joke.

« People very kind, but the room had many problems »

The phone battery did not work; the coffee maker did not provide hot water (the button for that seemed to no operate well); the dryer was broken, as it automatically turned off after two minutes of use. I requested the sauna to be ready with 10 minutes in advance as informed by the clerk at the reception guest; it took about 45 minutes for someone to prepare it. When I inquired what happened, the bell-boy simply said he got busy. When I asked for a new dryer, it also took about 20 minutes to get one, while I was on a rush to get to a meeting. The replacement did not work well either. The cleaning lady also forgot to replace the capsules for the coffee maker.

« Great location; Good Value »

Hotel Mercury is well appointed with all your basic business traveling needs; Centrally located between the Norte (North Bogot) and Downtown, on a busy avenue (cra 7), it's " half an hour" to most places you'll probably visit. Breakfats is fine, however restaurant is not open for dinner (which may be disappointing if you arrive late and don't care t go out looking for one (fortunately, the options are plenty nearby the G-zone"; Rooms are comfortable and with ample space. The lobby is rather small and allows for too much noise from the street to leak in. Other than that, value is as expected.

« Very noisy at night and bed is not very comfortable »

This hotel was booked for me. Overall decent stay with the good effort by the staff but I myself won't book it in the future. Communications would be easier if staff would speak better English. (I know it sounds arrogant but unfortunately I speak English, Russian, and some Italian but very little Spanish.) The main complaint is about how noisy rooms are: windows do not provide the proper sound isolation as are standards in most of hotels I stayed outside Colombia (even budget hotels in Europe and USA who face much busier highway). The quality of stay would be also improved by the higher quality mattress.
