Another fabulous holiday at the Fairmont royal pavilion, and always good to see the same staff members. Also good to see that the Palm Terrace Restaurant reopened during our stay - we had a gorgeous meal there and the new menu was excellent.

« A great location staffed by some fabulous people! »

I’ve never been a fan of hotels, however good, preferring to ent a house or apartment, however when the 5/6 of the family becomes a 2 it’s easier to find a great hotel. Sandy Lane while beautiful could be anywhere in the world so we opted for the Fairmont. Greeted by the excellent Michael Sealy on arrival and shown to a top floor beachside room. Dinner alongside the beach with one of the best blackened Mahi Mahi on the island. Good pool with plenty of sun beds poolside and on the beautiful beach and walking distance of the Lonestar Boutique Hotel & Restaurant. For those adventurous among us the dollar/regal buses stop right outside and there is always an air conditioned cab on the grounds. Loved it and will be back.

The location in Barbados is wonderful, glad we rented a car to get around. The staff was amazing; Lucette, Ryan, Shane, Sierra were all so awesome. The food was average on its best day of the week we were there; it is the only area of improvement we could find.

« Amazing experience! »

We've just got back from an amazing vacation at Fairmont Royal Pavilion and all I can say is that we will be back! The hotel and its location are beautiful and serene, the perfect recipe for a relaxing vacation, but the staff and service is what makes the stay even more memorable. From the moment you arrive they go above and beyond to ensure you have an exceptional experience. The staff is always attentive and pleasant, from the beach service to the butler team, always ready to help you with a smile; but it was Michael, the manager, who really made the whole experience truly special. During our check in we were greeted by him and from that moment on, until it was our time to leave, he was always present ensuring we were having the perfect stay. His attentiveness really made the whole experience even more special.

Location is great and so are the staff, but it’s getting a little stayed and the food as gone down hill. Will be back but unless there’s improvement it will be the last time.

Balcony was amazing. Uncomfortable pillows. We had to ask for feather ones. Surprised that there were no bathrobes in the bathroom. The service when we sat at the tables near the bar was poor. Often there was no one at the front of the hotel when we wanted a taxi. We usually had to go to reception to ask for a taxi. Apart from the cocktail party we never saw a manager walking round meeting the guests.

We came for a relaxing week at a good hotel on the beach and our stay at Fairmont RP archived this .The staff were very friendly and service was good . The only minor criticism was that the standard evening menus was a bit limited.

We had two joyous weeks in November 2019, the rooms are beautiful and they all face the ocean so you’re guaranteed a lovely view. Staff were all so helpful and couldn’t do enough for you.

Great beach and ocean, great staff. The hotel itself is very tired looking, and looks like it is from the late 1980s. food was not great for the money. You have Sandels level quality food, at 3x the cost. Its not a 5 star place, 4 star for sure.

« Most Friendly Place in Barbardos on the Beach »

This was a fourth visit to Royal Pavillion and this time was to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We loved the welcome Proseco. Our special drink requests were set up when we arrived (thanks Edwin) It was easy to work with the concierage staff (thanks Samantha) to set up our catamaran cruise! We like we are visiting with an extended family! So many people made our stay special -- Lucette, Pearse, Tiffany in Taboras, Twanda,and the welcoming hostesses at Taboras......and Graham gave us a very interesting and personal garden tour of the beautiful grounds, something I have always wanted to do on previous visits -- so glad I got the tour this time! Shout out to Ryn at the "towel" hut by the pool -- he and Michael were always so friendly and helpful. Our room was freshly cleaned each day by the lovely housekeeping staff who remembered we needed extra Coffeemate each day! There were some power outages during our staff due to mother nature and a car hitting a pole.....none of which could be prevented! There was one lunch time when Taboras was closed due to a plumbing issue and we received a letter telling us to call Room Service or go to the Beach Club. No one answered the phone for approx. 45 minutes so we ended up walking over to the Beach Club. Our patio door handle was broken but was quickly repaired after speaking to Dawn about it. Big Thanks Dawn for getting it taken care so fast. The television channels sometimes worked and the picture quality wasn't the greatest. The HGTV channel was frozen on one scene during our entire stay making it impossible to watch. Not a big deal but we had great weather and fortunately could enjoy sunshine and the Caribbean sea! Shout out to Priscus our airport transport driver who was very professional and helpful. Also, thanks to Ryan in WaterSports for being the kind caring person he is! Charlene (concierage) is always a bright spot in our stay! Her warmth and smile are the best ever and we were so happy to see her again (and we will pray for her continued well-being and health). There must be a hiring secret because EVERY employee are the BEST -- they make staying at Fairmont a dream!

« A pleasant one week stay. »

We last stayed here three years ago and were interested to stay again after the refurbishments. The hotel does have a fabulous position on a beautiful beach. It has beautiful gardens. When we were last here it was for adults only in December-February. Then the atmosphere was calmer and more restful. On this occasion, although there were not too many children, we found them to be noisy and out of control mainly due to poor parenting! The main restaurant was closed, we had not been told about this in advance, it resulted in Taboras, the casual restaurant being very overcrowded, particularly at breakfast time. The breakfast was extremely poor, equivalent to what you might find in a 2-3 star hotel. The staff, apart from one, was all fabulous. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would probably not return to this hotel in the future. We did express all of our concerns to hotel management who were glad to receive our feedback.
