Beautiful view but we won’t be going back, not enough of a personal touch, not enough staff, they work hard but feels a bit like they are going through the motions sometimes.

Disheartening arrival experience - doorman conspicuous by his absence (as seemed to be the case most of the time) Delightful receptionist - but over 3 hour wait for room - we were early and did not expect our room to be immediately available- but 3 hours and a further 30 min for the porter to dain to deliver our luggage ! ? Room v good with decent shower and air conditioning, lovely balcony and view . Breakfast decidedly unimpressive for a hotel of this purported standard - really more of a 3 star offering with mugs to match. Buffet equipment dated and not well cared for compounding a sense of lost grandeur Washrooms distinctly shabby Staff very pleasant ,friendly and helpful in almost all cases Menu choice v limited for this standard of hotel, which led us to mostly eat out. Lack of lunchtime light snacks eg club sandwich etc - a basic expectation just not on offer Evening entertainment finished at 9.30 v early General absence of information from watersports activity to operating the tv. In summery we enjoyed our stay but expectations nowhere near met or remotely reflective of the price

I came for two weeks for my sisters wedding with my two small children and family of 9. The staff were all wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. They remembered my children’s names and addressed them personally every time they saw them. We felt safe, looked after and incredibly relaxed the whole time. The hotel, food and staff are just extraordinary and it made the wedding unforgettable and just perfect. Thank you Fairmont Royal Pavilion.

Overall it was above average but not up to the level of other Fairmont properties. Improvement is needed with the level of service.

The only downsides to our stay was the requirement to wear face masks everywhere (including the gardens) on the hotel property. Also, the beach has changed quite dramatically since our last visit and accessing the sea is much more difficult. We appreciate this is a natural occurrence but wondered if some groins or similar could be constructed to prevent any more sand erosion.

Our mask wearing policy on property is one which we have to emphasize, due to our goal of maintaining the safest environment for both guests and staff. We continue to be in line with the policies outlined by the government of Barbados and are looking forward to an ease as measures are scaled back. As for the beach area; much care and attention is required for the application of any of the structures you would have outlined, due to the very delicate balance of the marine ecosystem. We can however look into ways of making the access safer, as the safety and comfort of our guests are one of our greatest priorities. We stayed at the Fairmont Pavilion for a week at the end of April 2022. We we're in an oceanfront suite. The room was fantastic. It was great being able to walk out of our room take a few steps and be on the beach. The room was well appointed and spacious. The deck chairs were a great place to spend our time. Check-in was quick comfortable and easy. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast buffet was varied and the best we've ever had in a hotel. Afternoon tea was also a nice touch. The beach in front of the Fairmont is lovely. Sandy and for the most part calm. We had a couple of days of larger waves but that just made it much more fun. All in all we had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The meet and greet at reception on the day of arrival was atrocious. Breakfast and the cleanliness of the hotel were outstanding. The late night service at the bar was very poor with lots of staff badly trained and not doing their job properly. We love Barbados and I’ve been coming for 20 years. Fairmont was brilliant in many aspects but fell short with poor training and lack of attention to detail

Location and outlook are 5 star People are very friendly and doing their best but there is clearly a lack of organisation and training details in rooms are not up to 5 star standard, e.g. bathroom and amenities, restaurants are limited in offering, no area ot sit and get out of sun to relax other than small area with TV More could be made of the grounds that are impressive

The view from out third floor room was amazing especially at sunset. The location has quality amenities, including a lovely beach and good pool, where the staff do look after you. We ate out most evenings, but had 2 casual evening meals in the Cafe Taboras which were quite nice. We also had dinner in the Palm Terrace one night which was most disappointing. This was not the fine dinning experience we were looking forward to and we now know why there were only four of us diners that night. This is an area that the Fairmount Royal Pavilion could definitely improve on.
