We had 2 rooms assigned to us at our stay as we noticed that the first room’s door was not locking at all. So we went a fee days with no locked room. Luckily nothing was stolen. The manager on duty got us a really nice upgraded room as she felt bad.

Disappointed hotel so tired and bleak. Sheets clean but not crisp. Walls damaged. Old worn sofas even in lobby. Only good thing was the staff.

Check in was well streamlined but the room and contents were subpar to say the least. - glass I chose to drink from was dirty, something dried onto the outside of the glass - no hand soap in the washroom - bathrobes felt like sandpaper. Suggestion, offer no bathrobe unless you can provide softer ones. My husband and I felt that the value for money was not evident in the room at all. Yes we had a view of downtown, unfortunately though, this doesn’t make up for the disappointment of the room.

Our family truly enjoyed our brief stay at Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. The front door staff, concierge and screening staff were very gracious and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and many convenient amenities and with easy parking. In room dining menu was delicious and had options for the entire family. Very disappointed with the young lady seating guests for the hotel restaurant's outdoor patio, unless she was enforcing hotel restrictions and policy. To choose not to permit un-vaccinated family members for outdoor dining is questionable and borderline discriminatory given that two-thirds of federal government staff have been provided the courtesy of medical and/or religious exemptions for working indoors. All nearby restaurants were very accommodating on their patios so it all worked out in the end. A small stain on an otherwise very enjoyable stay with very friendly hotel staff!

Well located and nice hotel

The hotel is well located, the lobby and room itself are very nice. However, one downside to the stay was the bathroom. It was not in great shape. Bathroom/shower was very old and not well maintained. The water pressure was also unacceptably low for the shower. Otherwise, the rest of the facilities were good and the staff were very friendly.

The facility is beautiful. The location is spot on but that is all it had goigg for it. I don’t mind paying for an experience. But when all you get is a pretty standard room mediocre service and a astronomically priced breakfast… I just wouldn’t pay for this again. I prefer The Holiday Inn any day of the week. They provide free breakfast comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and more for much much less. I would prefer to pay less farther from down town and have to commute. I was hoping for an experience when I booked and while I was not upset, I was also not impressed. There was not a single memorable thing that made this hotel stand out compared to the hundreds of others I have stayed in. With the exception the price. The price stood out. If there was something truly special about your hotel, the price would not stand out.

We've stayed in many Fairmonts prior. The service wasn't where the Fairmont brand should be. Generally there was no door man, no one answered the phones and we had to leave the room to find the bell hops. The bell hops, were great by they way. The rooms were a bit tired too. Not the best value...

We love everything about the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. They have done a great job making the COVID restrictions in a full service way. The location means you can walk to so many things. The gym is great.

The Chateau Laurier is a gorgeous building from the outside and in the lobby. But besides that, it's pretty ordinary. The room is pretty basic, absolutely nothing special about it at all. Considering how much we paid for the room, I was not impressed. In addition, the only reason we stayed there was because I am a Accor Silver member. This hotel is not yet fully an Accor hotel, so we did not get any of the perks we are meant to get as silver members so I was not impressed at all. This was very misleading on Accor's part on their website. We were hoping for a very nice evening and we were not impressed. We decided to dine elsewhere.
