We coordinated a large birthday celebration at the property and everything went really, really well, with the sole exception that some rental chairs did not arrive for the party until well into the event time upon a second request. But still, considering all the other details involved, the coordination and accommodation for me and my guests were simply amazing. Communication was terrific, too!

Everything was AOK. However, you no longer offer breakfast as part of the stay. FURTHER, there is no breakfast available on the premises. This was a huge disappointment.

My husband, son, and I had an amazing stay at the Fairmont Heritage Place - Ghirardelli Square. The views were beautiful and everything was within walking distance. If it was too far to walk there was a cable car station within walking distance to hop on and go downtown. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. They also provided complimentary car services within 2 miles of the hotel. Our residence was extremely comfortable and cozy. We had a small kitchen area, two bed rooms, two full bathrooms, 1 half bath, and a cute rooftop balcony area. I highly recommend this hotel for a short or long stay in San Francisco.

« A great family tradition »

Our family (11 people age 73-15) come and stay annually at the Heritage Plaza for a festive night out before Christmas. The rooms were comfortable and the house car was VERY convenient. We did miss the afternoon wine and cheese hour, but the breakfast spread was nice.

« It was ok but overpriced for the quality of the residence and limited service offered on site »

We were a little disappointed by the state of the residence. A little rundown with old furniture. We were expecting lavish luxury for 1,800 a night. Instead, the residence was indeed large but old bathrooms, shower pressure was bad, floors were old, walls needed paint, windows were very old and needed a coat of paint too. Sofas and armchairs were stained and very used. Breakfast was very disappointing too. Limited choice and the boiled eggs were very bad and cold. Positive: Friendly staff, nice location, good linens.

I was spending Thanksgiving in SF with family that lives in the city as well as others who live across the country. This hotel met my needs as far as space requirements for 4 adults and a 14 month old for 4 nights. Considering I reserved and paid for a non-refundable, advance purchase "deal" for close to $1000 per night I feel like there was quite a bit lacking. Apparently there are services offered that we were never informed of, parking is $65 per night and the continental breakfast was exactly the same every morning. I could let that slide but the morning we were leaving I was told some employees didn't show up and there was no breakfast whatsoever. I asked for some berries or a banana as my grandaughter needed something to eat before they got to the airport for their cross country flight and I was told they couldn't get anything for me other than the milk requested. Why didn't management step in and take over? After all this is a Fairmont property who supposedly pride themselves on service. As far as the room, in general it worked just fine but you definitely see some wear and tear on some of the furniture and there were no towel hooks in the bathrooms to hang wet towels for 5 people. As I left that day I told someone at one of the lobby desks about some of my complaints and was told someone from management would reach out to me.... that was 12 days ago and I haven't heard a word. At this point I have no interest in speaking with anyone.

We have always enjoyed our stay with you over the years through Exclusive Resorts. We have noticed a minor deterioration of services over time (less availability of house cars, more limited breakfast options, no evening reception), but the venue and location is wonderful and your staff is great. I wish the newer beds weren't quite so firm, but that may just be a personal preference.

« A Serene Haven after evacuating Sonoma »

We were so grateful! It was almost surreal having evacuated from Calistoga and Santa Rosa to be at your hotel - thank goodness American Express helped us get there! Other than a brief period of noise from the Brewery/Restaurant below us (and they responded to our complaint at 9 pm very quickly), it was a perfect, serene 24 hours in San Francisco.
