Everything excellent except: 1) self parking completely inept - the pass issued by the hotel simply does not function. Upon exit of the lot and upon the system not recognizing the pass, I had to call the parking attendant on the intercom and provide name, room number, license plate number EVERY TIME I exited the lot. Unacceptable. 2) upon check in the room thermostat indicated 17.5C and functioning AC. It was well above 17.5C (21 ?) and the AC was not working. After calling it in, a manual portable AC was installed. Why we were not offered a room with functioning AC is beyond me.

Returning to the Hotel Vancouver Fairmont is always a pleasure and even more so after this long period of no travel. The Concierge team is as always personable, wonderfully warm and caring in their attention to your like you're one of the family! The fellow at the Notche 8 restaurant was accommodating and ensuring I had lunch prepared for my beach outings. From there to the front desk everyone reflects this personal and supportive approach. I could ask for no more with such a lovely well appointed hotel and an exceptionally high standard.

problems right from start-room safe didn't work-new baterry needed,hall ice machine not working-reported but not fixedfor>2days,staffing friendly but undermanned,no morning newspaper provided,no valet parkingyet higher cost of$^$62+/day-resturants-when openhad poorer menus.inpresent statewoulld nolonger recommend to friends andwould probably change for ourselves next visit.

Quick check-in, easy parking (no valet at this time, but easy to unload and then park your own car), nice room. Just a few glitches to report: a. Room had a big areaof wet floor, due to condensation from the air conditioner vent above; a door-knob that fell off the doors between bedroom and living room; and, oddly, a sticker on the shower tile, presumably left by a young guest. These things all added up to a sense that maybe housekeeping isn't paying full attention (though to be fair, the only way to know a carpet is wet is to walk on it in socks/barefoot!) b. The menu at Notch 8 seems unnecessarily limited. We were disappointed in seeking a light late dinner to find just a few viable choices. WIth more guests now, surely the menu can include more options again? Room service breakfast also disappointed, with cold coffee, missing cream for that coffee. And finally, room service trays (and guest garbage left in hallways) seemed to sit out in halls for a long time each day. Not pleasant to walk by again five or six hours later. Time to ramp up again, food service! Staff were gracious, as usual. The lobby being fully reopened (all doors) is great. For a Fairmont experience, it was as expected... just with a few loose screws, maybe to be blamed on ramping back up again from COVID slowness. Overall, still highly recommend for posh service, rooms, and experience. Nothing smells as nice as a Fairmont hotel... and this one adds in a super convenient location to the mix!

I had such a great stay at hotel Vancouver. The staff and concierge were all warm and hospitable. Hotel lobby smells amazing and the rooms and toiletries were very luxurious. What I also appreciated was the location - it was PERFECT. Close to everything I needed. Would absolutely stay again!

I was spoiled at the Fairmont downtown Vancouver. The room, food and service was out standing.I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. I never had a chance to use the amenities but I am sure they are up to par with the service I received . I stayed for only 3nights starting April 14

My trip back to B.C. was challenging to say the least but didn't expect leaving to be just as difficult! Not only is leaving my family hard but trying to get a mandatory Covid-19 test within the designated timeframe near impossible. While scrolling though the list of private labs in B.C. I clicked on FastTest, not only were the personnel efficient and kind but located right in my hotel!! I got my tests back quickly, and the friendly, gracious staff at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver made my complicated trip just that much easier. Thank you for always coming through for me!

Good place to stay but pay attention to the quietness of the room : There was a lot of noise in the 1st room I had, coming from the neighbours and the street to that we asked to change the room. We had no more trouble with the 2nd one. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful

Great Location, Center of Vancouver! My first impression was, this hotel must have significant history. I was right. Beautiful building, friendly staff, great breakfast! Rooms are very classic, I felt I was back in time, in a good way! This hotel have a very classic romantic feeling to it, it's really hard to describe in words, you just have to stay here. One thing that could be improved (Back in December '16), is the Le Club membership to Fairmot President's club recognition, the staff needs to be informed and trained that Fairmont has been acquired by Accor and they should show that Accor Le Club members are appreciated too. My check in experience was somewhat does not meet my satisfaction when I show them my platinum accor le club membership. The reception asks is that my credit card? Which is terrible for him to say to a loyal member that you didn't recognize my platinum membership card.. I hope they are doing better with the integration to Accor Hotels. Room service was great, they have a beautiful bar.
