We booked a 36- hour staycation and it was absolutely fantastic! We had booked a room at club level and got upgraded to a room with views over Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The brunch, which was included in the package was fantastic as always. The attentiveness from the staff was excellent. A nice breakfast in the morning with excellent choice and a really nice sourdough bread! Had a lazy day at the beach with lunch, which was also included in the package. Such great value at a great place. We’ll be back for sure!

We booked the 36 hour staycation and everything was wonderful from start to finish! Our room was fantastic, with a stunning view of the grand mosque. Brunch and breakfast were both delicious. Vicky, our server, was brilliant, so accommodating and made sure our glasses were never empty. Will definitely be returning.

We stayed for the 36 hour package. The Friday brunch was absolutely incredible. The food and service were faultless once we got the attention of the staff, drinks began slow, but they soon picked up the pace. The evening was spent on the waterfront with a well timed happy hour. The Room The room itself had an incredible view and was well set up. However, biggest disappointment was the mattress. It felt like I was sleeping in a hammock. There were no springs or foam left! It definitely needed to be replaced. Worst nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Breakfast Although breakfast was included in our package, the menu stated it would have cost 130aed, I would have been stunned if I had paid this price. I think because we were ‘package’ guests the quality of food provided in the morning was definitely substandard. I ordered the healthy breakfast which was supposed to include spinach, asparagus, tomatoes, rie bread and an egg white omelette with courgette and peppers. I received a plain egg white omelette, some sliced potatoes, some mushroom and half a grilled tomato. You can imagine my disappointment. Lunch - pool bar Luckily a saving grace! The meal we had here phenomenal. Considering it is the beach bar the food quality and quantities were very generous. It definitely saved the remainder of our stay.

Room is huge with a beautiful view. Most important meal for me is breakfast and was bit disappointed with Fairmont's setup but it make sense to have it ala carte to avoid wastage during this time

I have stayed at the Fairmonth several times and always enjoyed this hotel, but unfortunately this time around the service was not what it used to be. Both nights consisted of loud music and having to complain, with a 5 month old its not easy to sleep when there is loud music playing late into the evening, although the issue was resolved each night it took several complaints. On the upside the pool was nice.

Upon arrival, there was no clear instruction or assistance. My family and I sat in the car waiting for somebody to advise or assist. Granted there was no control of the valet area, there seemed to be no welcome either as the first question i was asked was "checking in". Check in process was fairly simple, an up side to the experience. Michael is a lovely person and he assisted us to our first room where we found the room to be ready but not cleaned, Michael arranged for our room to be changed. Once again, the room was cleaned but floors were stained and very badly maintained. We literally roughed it out the first night as the beds and pillows were terrible. My family could barely sleep as the beds squeaked on every turn or movement. Pillows became flat. We asked for harder pillows, only for nothing to arrive. When asked again, we are told the hotel is busy. When asked again, we told that there arent any harder pillows. 3 night of no sleep, neck and back pain. Absolutely terrible! The only nice part of your hotel is the pool and beach and that too your loungers are falling apart. Service on the whole is just below average, any request takes and 1 hour to be fulfilled. We could not find the tv remote and i called to ask for another one, nobody brought or assisted. We ended up finding the remote in the bed, house keeping basically did not even dust out the bed they just put the duvet over. Your focus needs to shift, you have a lovely entrance and public spaces but your rooms and service are below satisfactory level in my opinion.

While we really enjoyed the hotel facilities and personnel was lovely , we had a very bad experience on the quality of the room. Once we entered the first room, we smelt a very strong moisture odor and requested to change the room which they accepted immediately. While changing the room, we went for a higher floor and we felt the same odor on the corridor. The new room had also the moisture odor but it was moderate and limit acceptable. On the second day we found some small insects on the washroom. This is not the experience we were expecting when we booked a 5 star hotel

Kyla took the time to send in a personalised message and a direct contact for any requests - have never had that before. The team at the breakfast venue were absolutely amazing and would even address us by our names. Finally Roy Gonsalvez from the house keeping made sure our room was clean and safe, not to forget his surprise of towel art. I would definitely like to return to this experience and will highly recommend this hotel and the service provided by its staff.
