We couldn't of wished for anything else. Our room was huge, providing both indoor and out door options. We spent a bit of time at the pool, loungers with umbrellas were greatly appreciated. Service by staff superb. Restaurant options were top notch. We were a tad sad leaving the hotel and wished we could stay longer. In one word - Awesome

We had 7 wonderful days at Fairmont Sanur from 3-10 March. It is spectacular. Panoramic views, comfortable, spacious, rooms, lush gardens, a lovely pool, well maintained beach access, a truly tranquil spa, restaurants with high quality and beautifully presented food, ready access to the attractions and services of Sanur and above all else, outstanding service. Every staff member we met was genuinely friendly and focussed on ensuring our well-being and enjoyment. This included reception, front office, the young men who organised bikes for us, pool attendants, those responsible for preparing and maintaining our room and ensuring we had fresh towels and adequate water, and the ever so charming spa staff and even the gardiners. The massages were a dream. We had the great pleasure of meeting Muliana, the Food and Beverage Manager, whom we had heard about from friends. What a charming and charismatic man. His staff are obviously well chosen, highly trained and motivated, always prepared to engage in interested conversation, remembering the little things like seating, food and drink preferences, and displaying real enthusiasm for their job and a grasp of customer service. Janu, Wira, Hendra and Rika were amongst the staff with whom we had most contact and all were bright, engaging and conscientious. Breakfast was a real highlight and a perfect way to start the day. The environment is serene, the food imaginative and artfully presented, the coffee, juice blends and herbal teas a lovely accompaniment. And of course, the service! Can't help thinking the food and beverage service is a reflection of Muliana himself. It is our firm intention to return to the Fairmont Sanur Beach. Our thoughts and prayers are with the staff as they deal with the COVID crisis.

We stay during the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Bali is quiet, but the Hotel keeps its excellent standard of services. The Hotel located in Sanur, the favorite spot for our family. It was our first stay in Fairmont, however. The Hotel has access to the beach, which is a big plus. In addition, the guest can use the facilities: gym, swimming pool and spa to spend their day in leisure. The restaurant provides a good selection for breakfast. Unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to sample their lunch and dinner menu. It was my wife's birthday and the hotel provide a surprise birthday cake. We are definitely will return to Fairmont Sanur, and recommend the Hotel to our friends and family.

As returning guests to the Fairmont we were very pleased to see that many of the staff at the hotel remembered us. Being greeted by name by the staff of Layang Layang dining room and the The Lobby bar from our first visit to each place this trip made us fell valued. The staff at the resort are a credit to the organisation particularly Kadek Paitri and Tari in the Lobby Bar, Jani and Mira in the restaurant and Agus and Listya in the Pier 8 bar who provided exceptional service. The location of the resort is an advantage as it is easy to access shops, restaurants or walk or cycle the path that runs along the beach. Most of the facilities at the resort are also very good. The spa is excellent and good value for money. The staff are friendly and efficient, providing good service. The gym was clean, well organised and well equiped. The restaurants and cafes provide excellent service and the food is good, although lacking in a variety of vegetarian choices. However, we were very disappointed with the condition of the pool. Having been to the resort in April 2019 we were shocked to see the quality of the water in the pool. The water was mirky and green, reminiscent of swamp water. It was impossible to see the bottom of the pool. On observation it appeared that the only filtration system in place was surface water flowing over the top of the wall on the beach side and being replaced by water flowing in from structures either side of the steps into the pool on the cafe side of the pool. Both my wife and I were very concerned about the quality of the water and raised our concerns with the reception staff while making bookings on the second day in the resort. As there was no change in the water conditions on the next day we raised our concerns with the pool staff who indicated they would look into it even though they did not appear to acknowledge that there was anything wrong with the water conditions stating that it was treated each night. No improvement was evident in the following days and it was not until we mentioned our concerns to our butler Putu that anything happened. The following day the change in the colour of the pool was astonishing. For the first time in our stay the bottom of the pool was visible. The water was clear, even though there was still evidence of some scum on the top of the pool and staff were attempting to remove it. Unfortunately this was our last day at the resort and we were still not entirely comfortable swimming in the pool Having had such a great time at the resort in our first visit in April 2019, and the reason we booked to return again, we were less than impressed with the condition of a facility, the pool, that should be one of the main features and with the lack of proper maintenance of this facility. Another concern was general cleaning. My wife and I were on the top floor in room 423 and while the cleaning of the room was of its usual high standard there was rubbish left on a stand outside the lift at the southern end of the building which remained there for 5 days before it was removed. On one day the flower arrangement on the stand was taken away and replaced but the rubbish remained. This is not the standard expected at a hotel of this standard. Even though the staff would be an encouragement to return to the hotel, it is unlikely we would return as guests in the future as the overall standard appears to be falling below expectations.

Enjoyed it greatly, Room was well designed except for the garden/pool lighting design which could be much better. This was our first time staying at a Fairmont Hotel and we were very impressed. It was also our first time booking through Luxury Escapes and we were also very impressed with the deal that we acquired. Sanur itself was perfect for us as we were not interested in the crowds of other places. Sanur has a lot to offer and the hotel is perfectly situated to explore the area. The bike and walking pathway that runs along the foreshore in front of the hotel was perfect for using the bikes on offer at the hotel. There are many restaurants, bars and cafes within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself has a lot to offer with very spacious rooms and the balcony attached to our Fairmont Suite was very spacious and a great place to relax. The daily breakfast has everything you could want with a good variety of options no matter what country you are from or dietary requirements that you might have. The 50m pool is well positioned looking over the ocean and there are plenty of lounges for relaxation. The staff were very helpful, always friendly and could not do enough for us. We intend to come back to Sanur in the future and will be hard pressed to find anything better than the Fairmont Hotel. We definitely enjoyed our ten day stay in the Fairmont Suite with ocean views.

We stayed at the Fairmont Sanur for 9 nights from 26 Feb 2020 and received an upgrade to the Spa Suite which was very spacious and well appointed. The staff were sensational across all areas of the hotel and made us feel special and privileged. The best hotel staff experience I have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of food and drinks exceeded expectations, especially Layang Layang breakfasts - best ever. Whilst all staff were brilliant, I give a special thanks to Manis at breakfast as extremely professional and engaging. Pier 8 is a great sea front bar for an evening cocktail or two, albeit a bit pricey for the area. The pool is terrific and the bar & meals service there first rate. The hotel is lovely, our only concern was the daily cleaning of the room. There were a couple of days our room was not cleaned, due to timing. We would be out of our room for quite a few hours during the day and return to a room that had not been cleaned.
