The hotel has had some recent renovations but unfortunately they used direct stick carpet which made the floor very hard. It's fairly close to everything, local train will take you into the town center, approximately 15 minutes. The room was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was OK but the shower was small. It was unusual to find that the bar and restaurant were both closed . However, close by there is a supermarket where you can buy just about anything. There are also many local restaurants withing walking distance. The gentleman on the afternoon shift was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. Another positive note, is that the hotel is walking distance to the Porsche Museum, which is a must see.

Overall the stay was below average. Welcomed by a bottle of beer in the entry checkin was completed by a sullen receptionist with blonde curly locks. I phoned beforehand to early check in which she wasn’t well aware of. Hotel is pretty old, grey over grey interior, ancient furniture. Parking was quite good in front of hotel. The price was hefty compared to other mercure hotels and especially to Mövenpick Stuttgart airport. It’s not worth to pay more than 80€ per night because of service and features. The same curly hair madam did check out, being as impolite as usual. No receipt given, no “how was your stay?”. As a platinum member this hotel won’t be visited again. Breakfast was ok but located in cellar without natural light (kind of weird hostel character).

Chose this hotel for the proximity to the Porsche Museum (a few mins walk away) and it was perfectly fine for a one night stay. We arrived late around midnight and had no issues checking in or getting a beer from the fridge. Room was small but clean, all things considered this was a great hotel for the price.
