This was an overnight stay before seeing family and having a business meeting nearby and it did not disappoint. The luxury of a very large bedroom and bathroom was a real treat. We pre-booked dinner and breakfast both of which were very good though the prices on the menu had gone up significantly from what was showing online. We will definitely stay again.

No evening meal,as they had run out of gas for cooking,

Dear ANDREW B., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. The gas issue was caused by a faulty valve on the gas flow and it locked out the gas to the kitchen thus preventing us from offering a full dinner menu. The team responded to this challenge by offering a make shift menu with certain food products that we are able to offer. We were in the hands of the supplier to rectify the issue that night and unfortunately the engineer that was called had to travel from Coventry to get to the hotel which is not ideal and we have taken this up with the supplier. I am so very sorry that this incident happened and can assure you this is something we have addressed and moving forward we feel this is unlikely to happen again, but public safety is our prime concern when such an incident arises. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our Room was very comfortable, albeit a bit tired in the bathroom area. The breakfast was delicious with a lovely member of staff who remembered what liked on the second day. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if the need arose.

Ideally located for visiting family in chinnor . Room was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed . Bedroom and Bathroom large but tired in need of some TLC . Hallways also in need of some work . We could see that there was work in progress on other parts of hotel so that was good . Staff were friendly and responsive to requests . Overall will stay again as so convenient for us , surprisingly quiet considering how close to the motorway it is.

The electronic check-in system worked well and the room was ready on my arrival, this was my fourth stay when going to a performance of Garsington Opera at Wormesley, which is very conveniently close. The room was in very good order both in terms of maintenance and upkeep generally.

WE in Quarantine for the Memorial service of my husband. The staff was helpful but seemed uncertain of what that involved, at Times. I put that off to insufficient training from Management, not Staff.

We stayed at the Lambert Arms to visit the nearby Garsington Opera. The room was comfortable and the location both accessible and convenient. My only concern was that after filling in the pre registration online I had to provide all the same information at checkin. That is a waste of your time and mine

Lovely stay, room furbished to an excellent standard. We booked our stay at Mercure as we wanted to explore Chiltern Hills. Great location for hiking and only a short drive to Thame for plenty of restaurants and pubs for dinner. No non-dairy milk available so had to source some from sainsburrys for our morning tea. We were disappointed with the breakfast option available. We stated that we were vegan at the time of booking. When coming down for breakfast we were told we could have the full breakfast minus the meat and eggs. When our plate arrived we only had tomatoes, beans and toast as the chef had cooked the mushrooms and hash browns in butter. There was no option of having hash browns or mushrooms cooked fresh as it would take 15 mins (not that long?). I believe that if it was a dairy allergy and not a choice to avoid dairy we would have had fresh made available to us. We are not one to cause a fuss so ate the breakfast supplied. Other than that a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights. Enjoyed dinner and been able to relax in the bar/ louge area. The staff really made the stay great with first class service. The hotel is clean and manages the current Covid restrictions well.

Well located for the places that we wanted to visit. Room was clean and spacious, situated overlooking the courtyard. Booked an evening meal at the hotel but the service was very slow. However, the staff were friendly and apologised for the delay.

We had a 3 night stay to visit family in the area,the bedroom and the bathroom had area’s that hadn’t been cleaned,( build up of dust), the top of the shower head had a leak and was spraying water out towards the sink.we reported this on our first morning,but nobody came to fix it.

Stayed just after the covid restrictions relaxed but things were fairly normal. Good food, helpful staff and a convenient location next to the M40 but still quiet.
