great location for a meeting I had the following morning. Newly refurbished to a very high standard with great rooms and bar and restaurant areas restaurant food was first class and breakfast in the morning was superb. all the staff were helpful and very polite and positive.

This hotel is near family who do not have a spare room so we were literally just sleeping there. The bedroom block is separate from the main hotel so we feel safe during the pandemic as we do not have to mix with other guests at all and no one goes into our room. We have one thing we did not like. We asked for fresh towels and they were left on the floor outside our room. We actually did not want to use them after finding them there. They should have been in a plastic bag or on some sort of stand. The floor is not acceptable.

Great location. Although pre signed in, long wait for key as sole receptionist on the phone. Paid for an upgraded courtyard room and first impressions good, size of room, cleanliness and shower room. All let down by the small double bed. Are Accor the only hotel chain who still use double and not king size beds in upgraded rooms? Whilst settling in we became aware that guests in the next room had some friends in. They were not shouting or being loud but we could clearly hear all the conversation. This proved to be a problem later as even the light snoring of our neighbours led to a disturbed night. We went to our booked meal in the restaurant and was told that the previous choice or menu was not available and we should have been told that when we booked. We ended up with the meagre choices on the festive menu, The meal also fell into the could do better category. Adequate but an insult to the promised fine dining. We have stayed with Accor/Mercure throughout the UK and across the world, including Raffles. In fact we will be returning to the Manchester Mercure for a weekend break in July. Fully appreciate the problems the pandemic has caused the hospitality industry but this does not excuse the air of tardiness.

We were originally living close to the Lambert Arms Hotel and enjoyed visiting and celebrating there, then moved to South Coast - missed being in Oxfordshire so returning soon. It will be lovely to be able to enjoy visiting the Mercure Lambert Arms Hotel more often in the future. We have enjoyed staying with you - Hotel immaculate, Staff very Polite and very helpful. I had mentioned I was gluten intolerant but there were no alternatives at breakfast for bread or cereal so I had yogurt and cooked breakfast. It was a shame.

On arrival room was freezing, took a day to sort it out, also had to go outside to get to the main building, fine in the summer but not good in winter. Rom was spacious and comfortable.

Room was really good. Plenty of space to move around. having a window was a big plus. Hotel stuff was very helpful. However, Reception toilet was not clean. Sink was in awful state, required cleaning. In the morning, I had ordered a Soya Latte at the reception area while waiting for my minicab but I was served regular Latte which was disappointing. I was also ask to pay for the coffee before even i touched it. Again, disappointing. Generally it is a good hotel but needs to pay attention to details. thanks.

Great room, but also room for improvement

Room was great - but….Dirty towel in the room on arrival. Room was also freezing cold. Bathroom had radiator and underfloor heating off - was a challenge to work out how to turn it all on. TV also didn’t work properly. If I’d been starting longer I would have had these things resolved, but it was a flying visit

Wedding stop over , great venue for a Friday wedding , bar staff great and breakfast in the morning was a much needed item, which was plentiful and tasted good. Only shame was traffic noise during the early hours of the morning.

We had a pleasant three nights stay. The hotel is very well run and very well presented. The staff throughout are exceptionally good. There is a welcoming bar, and a very pleasant restaurant. Easy parking and excellent wifi. Breakfast is an extensive buffet. Easy to find this hotel, it's just a couple of minutes off junction 6 of the M40, right on the corner of the A40.

Very Good but Denied Access to all Outside Public Spaces

This was my second visit to Thame Lambert - we returned because we wanted a hotel with generous outside spaces for both eating and leisure. Unfortunately there was a conference and the dining patio and gardens were out of bounds until 'officially' 2:00 pm of our second day. In reality, although the conference finished around that time, the debris remained for a couple of hours and rendered the garden unusable. Apart from that, the staff were all extremely helpful, the food both at breakfast and dinner, was very good and our room was excellent - clean and comfortable. It was just a pity that a courtesy call from the management to warn us of the conference and their requirements, was not made. I imagine that the superb weather prompted the conference organisers to request the exclusive use of the grounds - management shoud not forget clients who are paying full price, NOT corporate rates, deserve to be treated as equalls, if not priority guests. We mentioned this both during our stay and at check out - we were told that our comments would be passed on to management - if they were, we still haven't heard anything from them.
