I arrived at the Fairmont at 3:30 in the morning after a missed connection on my way to Hong Kong. From the check-in to my next flight 3 days after all the staff has been extremely helpful and dedicated. Especially the concierge, Ali who has been very sympathetic and brilliantly dealt with all my issues on site, making my stay and procedures a lot easier and allowing me to catch my next flight without any problem. The hotel itself is very comfortable, definitely on par with its Western Europe peers. The spa and gym are very spacious and well equipped. The view from my room was stunning (29th floor). The restaurant is pretty good as well with some must try signature desserts and perfectly seasoned meat. The truffle oil and mushrooms on the Humus worked surprisingly well. A best pick in Istanbul and pretty terrific value for money.

We have tried different luxury hotels in Istanbul to compare strengths and weaknesses, including St.Regis, Ritz Carlton, Raffles, and Park Hyatt. We keep coming back to Fairmont because overall the hotel compares favorably including suites more spacious than other hotels, the Gold Lounge, excellent service, and reasonable price considering the product offered.

The stay was quite nice despite the tough Covid19 measures implemented in the hotel. The staff are trying their level best to show their hospitality and gratitude. We wer5e leaving tips for every little thing as the people working there were doing an excellent job. The check-in process was excellent. The only disappointment was the fact there was nobody to help us with breakfast at 6.30am before our morning flight. If breakfast starts at 6.30am, the staff should also be there at 6.30am no matter what. But we suddenly learnt at the last moment that breakfasts start at 7.00...... Overall, I would highly recommend staying in this marvellous hotel.
