The first difficulty was finding the hotel. We did not realise that there are (at least) four Ibis hotels with the title 'Gare de l'Est - and we went to the other three before we found our hotel.. We did not realise that '10eme' is the vital identifier. It is an economy hotel, but the Continental Breakfast was very adequate. The staff were polite and helpful - although the receptionist did not seem to know about on-line check-in and insisted on us completing registration forms. Our room on the fifth floor was reached by a lift that would only accommodate one of us at a time. The room itself was very adequate and we we were comfortable in it. The location is very good within easy walking distance of Gare de lEst and Gare du Nord, with good Metro and Bus links.

Nicely situated near the train station and walking distance to Opera, Louvre, Tuillery etc. Good breakfast from 4am, which really saved us because we had to leave at 6:30am. Comfortable beds, rooms for 3-4 people. Clean.

A new lift is needed. We found that it kept getting stuck at “-1”. Then on the final day it didn’t work at all so I had to carry a large suitcase down 7 flights of stairs. Website said room would be ready at 12pm but when we arrived it wasn’t because “the lady hadn’t arrived yet” Room and bathroom were clean. Hotel is very well located for Gare de l’Est, albeit a little confusing having two Ibis hotels opposite one another.

Experience was great the breakfast was lovely but the beds were terrible pillows were destroyed, had to go down and get some more, bed sheets were never changed and now we all have bed bug bites. Need to change the bedsheets and pillows need to be better

The lift is SOOOOOO small. The room was clean and an ok size but getting into the lift everyday was so frustrating. The staff were lovely.

The hotel`s position is extremely good, near both the Gare de l`Est and the Gare du Nord. The room was spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable and the shower one of the best we`ve encountered. The triple room was a bit too small for three people, but otherwise we have absolutely no complaints!

nice staff but a real let down for an Ibis - I stay at Ibis a lot for work and never experienced one like this: with a dirty floor, a missing bedside table, and the cheapest toilet paper ever. My advice, go for a different Ibis nearby - Paris is hideously expensive and they are (usually) great!

The stay at the hotel was the worst in 4 years of staying at your establishments. I am a platinum member and this hotel room, service and working amenities in the room were terrible. The Staff did not know who/where/how to address issue's. Secondly I am baffled at why I had to use 6000 points to book this kind of hotel ... very very disappointing stay overall ...

I was traveling to another city when my connecting bus was cancelled. Long story short, I walked into the first hotel I saw because it was very late and needed a place to spend the night. Upon arriving, the reception desk was empty, but then a man came to help me about a minute later. He and his colleague took quite a while to find me a spare room. They finally found me a spare room, however, they sent me to the wrong direction of the hotel and I got lost. Then, when I finally found the right room, it turned out to be occupied. They gave me a free breakfast voucher as an apology and finally gave me a spare room. The room itself was nice and clean, but nothing impressive about it. I appreciated the free breakfast. However, the staff did not keep up with having clean dishes and silverware available- other people and myself had to wait minutes for more dishes to be available. The food itself was also not impressive, just some yogurt, apple sauce and breads. The only plus side was that it was a 3 minute walk to the train station. However, I have stayed in nicer hotels for way less. This hotel is definitely over-priced. Although it took like half an hour from the moment I got there til I received a room, I still appreciate the help I received when I needed a room at midnight.
