The bad smell ruined it.

De H TripAdvisor review

The hotel was o.k. in respect to the room size, minibar with the included drinks, and laid back personnel, but one thing killed it: the smell. As I first entered the room there was a hint of sewage. In fact, the whole neighborhood wafted of wet dog. Probably because the whole neighborhood as well as the nearby subway was under construction. So at that time I didn't think much of it and ignored it because I was exhausted. But in the morning, when I wanted to take a shower, it hit me: that stench! As I opended the glass door and moved the bath mat, I was overwhelmed. Gagging, I opted to skip the shower (Germans don't shower everyday, either!) packed up and checked out immediately. I don't know what caused that odor. Did someone die in there?! I don't really want to know the details. At check-out, I was offered an espresso in compensation -- It took too long to find the barkeep/barrista and I just wanted to get the hell out. Did I get any extra coutesy ALL-points? No! I even had to chase down the regular points due to me. Not the 25Hours I've come to cherish.

Good in general, with a few weaknesses

I write in English. Warm welcome upon arrival, the lady was very nice and she informed me that I got a room upgraded (which is always welcome, being a Platinum from Accor). The room was typically 25Hours, but, compared to my past visits, there was: - no glasses for drinks - no hairdryer - no coffee machina - no slippers - only one medium towel I appreciate and support the 25 Hours philosophy, but still it's a 4 stars hotel and lower categories like Mercure or Ibis do provide the above, maybe not to all customers, but al least to those more loyal. This is not a complaint, it is merely a note. Breakfast is always disappointing, but I already knew it. The guy who attended me was kind. The (little) food was good and tasty. There Was a couple sitting next to me and they were upset, because they expected the classic rich German buffet breakfast.

Beautiful hotel, great amenities, bad location

I really liked the whole vibe from the hotel. The themed floors, rooms and all the amenities they offer. However, due to its close proximity to Frankfurt's Central Train Station, you can't avoid to encounter the homeless, drug addicts and not so friendly people that roam around the location.

Hotel is right next to a red light district, people on drugs directly outside the hotel and neighbouring streets, day and night, hotel had a restaurant directly next door which turned in a nightclub Friday and Saturday night, music was so loud it felt like the room was vibrating, it went on till 5am so you will get no sleep, the only positive thing is the hotel was lovely, very clean and welcoming staff, but unfortunately everything else let it down, would not recommend this hotel at all

Very good hotel, ok location

The hotel itself is great. Rooms are always quirky at 25hours and I like the toiletries there too. You also get the basic minibar included with soft drinks. The location is both good and bad - it’s right by the Haubtbahnhof, so you can get around and jump on a train. However, this is also the red light district and it doesn’t feel the safest. For some this might be an issue. I also ate breakfast in the hotel one day. Food was excellent, service was so-so. No-one brought my coffee until I reminded them and my order was initially taken to the wrong table.
