We have visited Dubai since 1998, originally staying in the area around what is now the Sofitel Obelisk. Since the we have stayed at the palm in all of the top hotels but as the city grew m, we decided to start and visit Abu Dhabi for the the last 5 or 6 years. With the restrictions still being in place, we decided to return to Dubai and the Sofitel Obelisk was the newest hotel in the area of our preference, so we stayed for 7 nights. The facilities are fabulous. Beautiful. The rooms are immaculate and from the moment you walked into the lobby we felt at home. Restaurants are amazing and there is easy access to Raffles Dubai a partner hotel. Hotel staff are first class from the concierge especially Fahim, to the ladies in the cafe, which has the best cappuccino ever. The pool is my favourite in Dubai, just amazing angling with King, Dani and Komiljon all superb. Highly recommend and definitely 5 Star

Bad experience, to much tech room

I arrived to hotel at 1 pm and got the room at 4.30 pm . I have at least 5 phone call from hotel staff in every section( housekeeping, reception, front desk,ets) asking about if got my luggage. My air-conditioned was automatically open every 5 minutes even when I closed it . In general I well never book again in this hotel

One of the best hotels in Dubai, with outstanding service and detail to attention. This hotel is nothing short of superb, the staff greeted us before we got in and made us feel very special from that moment we checked in. The room was ready early and we had been upgraded due to our status with Accor. The staff always make the difference and they couldn't have treated us better. The room was exquisite and and extremely modern with great views. I special mention to great staff on the club floor - Rachelle and her fantastic team -Novi, William, Vishnu, Ramesh, Charm, Joe and Hashir and Shabina from house keeping.

After the Front Office team sorted out our check-in issue, the rest of the stay was lovely! It was my son's birthday and the team went the extra mile to make it special. Thanks for the lovely cake and balloons in the room! Our dinner at Brasserie Boulud was simply exquisite. Even our breakfast buffet & lunch at Le Soleil by the pool was really scrumptious. I have been staying at this Sofitel for a while now, but last time my experience was not that good! Although I asked for early check in ( I was not able to check in till 4:00 P.M) Joe was nice and tried to help, but it didn't help much as I was in hurry and wanted to check in to catch up my meeting. Moreover, I asked for help with my luggage and it took them 30 minutes to send someone ( an issue I faced with them many times before)!!!
