I have been staying at this hotel frequently over the past few months, it is very well placed for one of my work locations. It's fair to say I've had a few issues which have been captured on other reviews. However my more recent stays have been trouble free and I think it's right to mention that Emma and the team have worked hard to put things right hence my score. Ultimately price of hotel is very competitive with a nice non city centre location.

Very pleasant restaurant, bar and 'front of house' reception area. Rooms spacious and adequately equipped, bathroom had a good shower over the bath with both the usual shower head and a ;soaker' above head option. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Bar was poorly supplied, no beer on tap, only lager, guinness and cider. Nice selection of wines, though.

lack of organisation and professionalism

My son and I chose this hotel as it was near the Motorcycle museum for the Antiques arms fair (my son is a dealer) and that breakfast starts at 7.00 am as we need to be at the museum very early. The staff started bringing out the hot food at 7.30 am. The staff were apologetic BUT did nothing to chase up the kitchen staff. In the end it was a rushed breakfast and indigestion. If you are on a business trip I would not bother with this hotel. Also I filled in the survey complaining about the lack of service and professionalism after the visit and nearly two weeks later NO email to apologise and to explain there failures.

Awful. Not worthy of being a Mercure

Dirty. Shabbby and poor value - don't bother. Chain hotels should offer two things well - consistency and occassional perks if you are a loyalty member. This hotel manages neither. Rooms and pokey and unclean. Food basic and becuse of this neither worth the money or rating. i fail to see how this property bears the mercure brand name.

We always have a clean and comfortable room when we stay at Honiley, and the parking is wonderful (important to us). Staff are always welcoming and we enjoyed a very nice dinner as well as a good breakfast the following morning. We will stay again and would recommend.

The room was nice enough and the hotel was also pleasant. However the service at the restaurant was atrocious. The food and the menu were really poor for what I paid. The bar was out of a wide number of drinks. No manager and no one taking control.

A very Average Stay

A disappointment, my room was fine but the dining room poor. Smked salmon with a fennel and avocado salad had not seen either of the latter agrrements, just some tomatoes and leaves. Smoked Haddock fishcake with green salad also accompanied by tomatoes and leaves. Garlic bread to eat with it arrived ten minutes later. Service generally poor. Similar issues at breakfast; no plain yoghurts and a fruit salad of grapes and apples.

This was my second stay at the hotel and on this occasion there were different staff who provided a very poor service with below average food served in a cold dinning room. The reception staff were rood and when it came to dinner the waitress left me waiting for half an hour before taking my order and upon me asking what the soup was she replied "its soup".I will not be returning to this hotel.

Really disappointed to read your review, but thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. I am only sorry that you didn't feel that you could raise it with one of the senior team at the time or prior to departure, whereupon we might have been able to put things right for you. Be assured that I am reviewing the atmosphere and food production this very week, to ensure that guests can always be confident of our usual high standards of hospitality. Let down by service

This is quite a nice, tidy hotel. The room was fine, clean and well furnished. However, our stay was let down by the service. The staff, when you could find them, whilst being helpful were not proactive in making sure guests were well looked after. We waited some time to check-in despite someone being at the reception desk and in the office. The buffet breakfast was cold and stewed by the time we arrived; tables had not been cleared. Several wines were not available at the bar. Staff management seemed poor or non-existent.

Hotel in quite area, some 15 minutes drive to Warwick University. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is good, WIFI is very strong, mobile network is avaliable (vodafone in my case) and reception staff are very kind. They helped me with 1 day stay extension during high season.
