Spent 3 nights here as the start of our honeymoon. We were greeted wonderfully with complimentary dessert. Staff were always courteous and helpful and did everything with a smile. Definitely recommend asking the concierge to help get any taxis. The included buffet breakfast was great. Plenty of choice and catered to a wide range of cuisines and nationalities.

If you want a weekend of wellness and rejuvenation, I highly recommend coupling the following services on your stay at the Banyan Tree: consultation with the wellness practitioner, workout of choice, and a spa. I love my wellness consultant, Nid! We were only supposed to chat for 15 mins but it ended being more like 40 because it was fun to talk health with her. I also had a great one-on-one Muay Thai session with Kru Suksan where I was absolutely challenged and spent, and then a relaxing Urban Relief Spa targeting office syndrome and pressure points with K Nina, who was very attentive to my needs. (There are a few options of spas and workouts for those with preferences different than mine.) The spa facilities here are exceptional with spacious private rooms.

Reserved a place by the very efficient Concierge of the Carlton Hotel Bangkok where I stay. Arrived and waited to find my reservation because employee on the phone. Arrived the manager and promptly found. Waited at the table 18 minutes before someone came to tell me how to get the menu, table was set without the fork. Someone brought butter but nothing to eat with (bread). After 15 minutes I called the waiter and someone came with the bread. Guests close to me arrived earlier than me went to the manager to complain that nobody where asked for the order. Ordered the dinner and waited 20 minutes for a simple burger. Found a little bone in the chicken hamburgwr. Waiter apologized for the delay and said the drink would be free because of the delay. Finished to eat, I needed to call again someone to ask for the bill, looking around but nobody stop. And guess what? The drink was charged (I was sure), told to the waiter, he said the other waiter didn't communicate (should not be guest's issue).waited other 10 minutes for the deduction. Banyan Trees is not really a roof top bar in BKG. Avoid it

An Amazing place to stay and a memorable holiday !

This is a 4.5 star hotel with 5 star “Attention to Service” by its staff ! My wife and I stayed 7 nights with Club Room access. The room we had was on the 49th floor with incredible views of Bangkok and included a spacious room with a king size bed and a good size bathroom with a shower and bath.Our room was good but it needed rearranging from us as the furniture was laid out in an odd way, so much so, that we couldn’t sit and watch TV or even sit at the desk without hitting something or not being able to watch TV. The staff at this hotel are OUTSTANDING ..especially in the Club Lounge. Ploy managed her staff and area in a very professional way. Her leadership, assistance and general supervision was appreciated by ALL guests (especially US !) and importantly the staff consistently told us how impressive she is as a manager. Staff that stood out for us were absolutely AMAZING. Kheng (the Lounge Supervisor-who was ALWAYS there..and served us like royalty !). Kaew and AJ who walked around ensuring the smooth running of the busy lounge and special mention to “Chef Boy” for treating my wife like a Queen with his salmon treats ! Other staff worth mentioning who were also excellent were Wendy and Aommie and downstairs Duty Manager Wanee. There are some improvements that need to be made…eg. the swimming area which surprisingly has no shade or umbrella’s around (especially in Bangkok with the heat) and also the small size of the swimming pool area which was very limited in it’s lounge chairs. The Gym was adequate but not huge and the massage/spa treatment was wonderful and very relaxing. The roof top has the “Moon Bar” which is a MUST see ! Absolutely incredible unobtrusive 360 degree views of Bangkok and seeing it at sunset was a HUGE highlight.Along with dinner at The Saffron restaurant which was spectacular and something you wont forget. (There are many restaurants in this hotel with Michelin chefs around ). Overall , there were some shortcomings BUT the service was attentive, polite and always obliging . We will be returning JUST because the staff are so Warm and Gracious ! We had a wonderful time and Sincere THANKS to ALL.

I asked for BD cake to be served during my stay as it's my boyfriend birthday since made reservation both via phone and email. I confirmed with your reception upon check-in again, also wrote the wording which I wanted you to mention on the cake. Your staff noted that and asked me to inform the reception again on the Birthday Date when I came down to breakfast. I did it, I went to breakfast and let your reception know to put the cake in the room BUT when I got back to room, NO BD cake served. I called your reception 2 times asking about the cake, but no movement, no one come after 30 mins…..Finally the cake came when my boyfriend left the room. If you had not prepared the cake or any problem, why don't you just tell us the truth. Upon check-out, no even Sorry was said. No sincere apology. And during our stay we ordered a bucket of ice, 30-40 mins passed and no one came. I called reception many many times but no one pick up the phone. Finally I needed to go to lobby myself and asked for it. Very very disappointment with your service. One more thing, the water in your bathtup is also very very dirty - the color is soooooo brown. I had also wrote email to your reservation to inform about those issues but no any responses, our comments may be ignored. Hope your other guests don't face those things and have such bad lucks like us because it's really disappointed. Your service is very poor, unbelieveable this is 5-star hotel. I don't give you this review because I expect something. Only hope your management will take action on the poor service.
